When you first hit his spot on his head go back to the back of the neck thing and go back up and use a charged attack( it’s basically the first attack over and over again) which allows you to charge your attack. Because if you stay in his head he will just keep moving. Hope this helps:)

I don't know how I did it. I think It was pure luck but I finally landed and ended this final Collosus. Why was this made to be such a pain for the second time?
I got this through ps4 plus but lots of friends love this game. for me, I gave it a 2/10 at best if it wasn't for the brilliant background art it would have been a 1. control barely useable in some fights and he takes ages to get back up after been hit so you get pinned until you die.
@@dawsyncanipe7947 No its not a great game. Mediocre "gameplay" at best. Its just a platformer/puzzle game with poor controls. I love the soundtrack, that alone earns 5/10 for me. The story is nice and cryptic descriptions along with the desolate world are great. But the camera... My god its horrid. If it didn't autoreset it would be way better. This is a 6/10 game all in all. I'd rather watch it than play it again or just listen to the great soundtrack separately.
That hand at the end doesn't LET me stand still long enough to shoot it in the shoulder without flinging me off. Not even a matter of running out of stamina, it just LOOPS here.
1:54 this game glitches a lot. Had tons of example. But this is a good one. Can’t get past this point bc he pretty much just starts shooting machine gun style. Non stop. The fireballs don’t even have to hit you. Their force sends you flying. Amazing game. But the 17th colossus is the one we never saw all along. The bitter camera man.
Why isnt there a third symbol to stab on his hand before you shoot his sholder? Its only difficult because the game isnt consistent enough to convey to the player what to do next. This game is over-rated.
I was able to complete the boss fight without even dying once. The game doesn’t suck and it gives you hints . Perhaps you should have played on the easy difficulty.
I remember the trench part at the beginning being easy to time when I played this back in 2005, and wondered why people had problems with it back then. I'm now playing this on the PS4 and am having problems at that last wall segment (seen at 1:35). He's being relentless with fireball spam here on my PS4 playthrough. I don't remember that happening on the PS2. In fact, this very video shows how little fireballs he's actually throwing, which is closer to what I remembered it being like fifteen years ago.
The first thing I am struggling with is the last passage before the boss, I get hit by fire balls more than I succeed in avoiding them. I tried waiting till he shot 2 times, hoping he has to "reload" then, but that did not work. Rolling also is no help. The second problem is the jumping to the hands. I try to do it as a ledge jump (aim away from where I am, press X for a while and then R2), but most of the time Wander just jumps down. I guess the game wants me to aim somewhere else, but I just aim away from the Colossus. Every now and then it succeeds, but then I also need another jump from shoulder to hand. I will keep trying, but I only managed to get past both jumps once in time attack. That time I was so surprised that I fell off. Pretty stupid, had 2 minutes to spare. Hope to make it one day ;-).
Rudi Verhoeven hav the exact same problem I find it easier to just let go and find an awkward spot to stand on and then jump on his hand it doesn’t work all the time but more consistent then leaning out and jumping
@@luimac3374 That works better idd, thx. Still haven't managed to finish it, hopefully I will get there. The shaking of the head did not bother me when I killed him on easy, but with time ticking away it gets annoying. Some people say there is a safe spot on every colossus where you don't get much shaking, would love to know where it is ;-).
The jump from his left shoulder to his right hand is miserable. Maybe the mechanics will work and you'll jump over? Maybe you'll just jump straight up the shoulder? Hell, maybe you'll even make the jump and Wander will choose not to grab the hand. Too many little mechanical issues add up on this fight to make it just terrible. And it's baffling they never fixed it in the remake.
From all my years of gaming this game has to be one of the WORST experiences out of all of them!!!!!! At least in Sekiro you die for a reason and it encourages you to learn from your mistakes, this game just encourages you to go to smash up your house!!!
If it weren’t for the grand spectacle of the collosi, the music, and the atmosphere this game has nothing except lack luster gameplay, little to no story, and an empty world(which I admittedly like a bit but it gets annoying knowing there is no reason to explore because you will find nothing).
I know right? The game is glorified platformer. Don't get me wrong, I like the desolate world, the main concepts of the story and colossi, I love the soundtrack and hell I even like the weight and clunkiness of movement. But it's poorly designed and it shows. Like the damn jump to Colossus 15's head or the hand to hand jump here. The horse controls are awful as well. I was glad when it died lol.
@@Walamonga1313 Absolutely agree. There are moments where I really enjoy the game. But that is probably 15% of the time. The rest is a chore and I think the Nostalgia Glasses are getting to people on this one.
Complete bs that you're supposed to figure out that you should stab the second hand without a weak point?? I must've climbed onto that hand a dozen times and tried to jump onto its head before I gave up and looked up this video...
got all the way to the 2nd hand part(4:00)in the whole game before saying screw it im looking it up after 30 minutes of falling and climbing up again. it wasn't glowing at all.
the game's concept is cool and the bosses are fun.. but MY GOD the controls are probably some of the worst I've ever experienced. The horse's maneuvering, the way Wander stumbles on EVERY rock, or takes a fucking nap every time he gets hit, and oh my god the camera. It's just unbearable, too many times, and makes so much of this game unfun. You know what, i'm gonna say it. I didn't give a shit Agro fell, anything to get rid of that troublesome horse. Good bosses and environment, but gameplay sucks.
At what point during the game did they expect players to figure out they had to use sword attack on a non-weak spot to change the behaviour of the colossus? At this point we are at 99% game completion, and we learned by now that hiting non-weak spots on a colossus body is pointless, especially while hanging from it's constantly moving hand. This was just poor combat design.
It’s not that bad, a little awkward maybe. I only found the camera to be an issue in the final few jumps which are the very hardest in the game. Definitely still an amazing game
Just finished this on the PS2 completely forgot about the shoulder weak point. I managed to jump from his hand over to his collar. Still such a good game from when first playing it when itb1st come out

Your just bad at the controls its easy to get used to its a great game 10/10
Definitely wasn't as impressed as i thought I'd be. Glad it was free. It's a cool looking game. That's about all.
@@Walamonga1313 try the ps2 version
@@dawsyncanipe7947 Once I get my new laptop I'll try it just for lols
That hand at the end doesn't LET me stand still long enough to shoot it in the shoulder without flinging me off. Not even a matter of running out of stamina, it just LOOPS here.
Another tip: you can also stab it’s left hand to make it stable for a moment, which makes it easier to run to it’s 2nd weak spot
Thanks a lot for these guides! Helped me run through the game super fast but still enjoyed it a lot
Me and my uncle kept saying "Dave got the Organ out again. We really need to fire this dude." We're dying
Bro this boss made me scream and lose my sanity
Thanks for all your help 🙏🙏
I literally wanted to throw my ps4 controller at the TV because of how many times i kept falling 💀💀
Omg this boss is annoying… I forgot to stab the hand at the top before shooting the weak spot with the bow… I kept falling down 😵💫🤬
Ps Plus , anyone?
me
Me and just got around to finishing it.
I got on his left hand, he didn’t fucking hold it horizontally, I was out of stamina and just felt down.
Why isnt there a third symbol to stab on his hand before you shoot his sholder? Its only difficult because the game isnt consistent enough to convey to the player what to do next. This game is over-rated.
This game is amazing, you just suck lmao
He’s right...you do suck
You are totally correct. This game isn't consistent. The Horse sucks too. The story is boring and dumb.
I was able to complete the boss fight without even dying once. The game doesn’t suck and it gives you hints . Perhaps you should have played on the easy difficulty.
Why should there be? It's what it is. I don't see the problem.
This final colossus ruined the games pace for me and I was so frustrated by the end, i m never doing this colossus on time attack
It’s so hard to just hold on to R2 for like an hour it’s so hard😩😩😩😩
I just beat the 16th colossus...took me two hours...what a great game
one more try and i uninstall if i fail again. garbage controls, garbage camera, this game is so over rated its insane
so i uninstalled it. fuck this game
Wott i beat in my 2nd tryy
Lol bad the controls are easy to get used too
@DuBXHyper ohh i uninstalled everything i couldnt care less i hated this game lol
@@davidtremblay7376 😂👍
Got mad and quit. I’ll go back but I need a breather lol.
More frustrating than the collosus battles is the horrendous camera and getting that horse to turn!
Thank you so much! Finally got him. That final hand was my problem. Didn’t realize I needed to stab it ❤
This doesn't work for me. He keeps moving his hand as soon as I got to the middle
@@luimac3374 Finally made it in 8'48", now all the hard time attacks, guess more frustration :p ...
There were some fun bosses here but this, the snake thing and the one where you have to lift with the wind was just tedious
The real enemy hers is my busted R2 button
To the point well done, thanks for the guide.
THANK YOU
This used to be a pain in the ass since when I was a child when I used to play shadow of colossus in ps2
understandable
The jump from his left shoulder to his right hand is miserable. Maybe the mechanics will work and you'll jump over? Maybe you'll just jump straight up the shoulder? Hell, maybe you'll even make the jump and Wander will choose not to grab the hand. Too many little mechanical issues add up on this fight to make it just terrible. And it's baffling they never fixed it in the remake.
The three most supportive characters in this game in order:
Dave
Agro
The god thing
his names Dormin incase your wondering and
*SPOILER
Dormin is the one who ends up giving you the curse of Ico (the horns)
@@dragolithsteel4649 ya I kept hearing his name but was blanking, thanks tho
From all my years of gaming this game has to be one of the WORST experiences out of all of them!!!!!! At least in Sekiro you die for a reason and it encourages you to learn from your mistakes, this game just encourages you to go to smash up your house!!!
If it weren’t for the grand spectacle of the collosi, the music, and the atmosphere this game has nothing except lack luster gameplay, little to no story, and an empty world(which I admittedly like a bit but it gets annoying knowing there is no reason to explore because you will find nothing).
Thanks so much dude. We finally got to beat it.
Good video. Helped me beat this game. But this game is horrific. No idea why it’s still considered a masterpiece.
Them arms are majestically terrifying
last hit he flung me to the bottom.
Thanks Dave, owe you mate
Complete bs that you're supposed to figure out that you should stab the second hand without a weak point?? I must've climbed onto that hand a dozen times and tried to jump onto its head before I gave up and looked up this video...
I love this game infinitely but this boss...
y e s
Didn't shed a tear when Argos died.
God bless you for this video
got all the way to the 2nd hand part(4:00)in the whole game before saying screw it im looking it up after 30 minutes of falling and climbing up again. it wasn't glowing at all.
the game's concept is cool and the bosses are fun.. but MY GOD the controls are probably some of the worst I've ever experienced.
This game looks Soo fun. If everyone didn't complain about the wonky contols I would've played
It’s not that bad, a little awkward maybe. I only found the camera to be an issue in the final few jumps which are the very hardest in the game. Definitely still an amazing game
the controls are only bad at this boss
Bro this footage of Dday is wild
WHAT ?? i've beat him multiple times and i didn"t knew about this tips with the bow !
I never had issues with this boss. Sure, I fell off of him a few times, but he’s not that bad. The camera didn’t bother me either.
That.fucking.damage.
I was trying to jump from hand to shoulder and fall many many timesss. Should have watch this guild early so i know can use arrow to shoot the mark
Thanks!
I've fought malus before and I still forgot.😂
Just finished this on the PS2 completely forgot about the shoulder weak point. I managed to jump from his hand over to his collar. Still such a good game from when first playing it when itb1st come out
Dude. So far the bridge is the biggest enemy.
I don't know how, but the first time I climbed the colossus I managed to jump onto the platform around his neck while he was swinging his hand, then I fell and was frustrated that I couldn't do it again.
4:09 HOW????? HE NEVER ONCE HOLD HIS HAND STILL
