Thank you so much for sharing this, I've seen a lot of these type of videos but this one is so thorough with explaining the products and stuff. But I am a little confused on one thing, so if you've already put a heat protectant in and styled it with curls and then 3 days later the curls fall out and you want to touch them up, would you then spray more heat protectant on it each time you style? Thanks in advance for your answer! 🥰👍
Hi Lacey. I'm in Canada and I can't seem to find a store that will ship the Dimples shampoo and conditioner to my region. Can you recommend another shampoo and conditioner for human hair toppers that I may be able to get in Canada? Also, I wanted to ask if Moroccan oil would work in place of the oil you recommended? Thanks for all you awesome videos!
Hi Lacie! I received my Clio 12 L a few days ago and washed it, following your video. I used the dimples shampoo and conditioner. Also used the 5 in 1 styling treatment. I let it air dry. This morning I had a consultation with Seema. She agreed with me that the hair seemed dry. She suggested washing it again and using more conditioner, thinking I may not have used enough. So I repeated the wash and here is what the topper looks like. It still seems dry to me. She said to reach out to you so I am doing that. Does it look dry? I haven’t blow dried it yet since I didn’t have a heat protectant yet Thank you for your help!!
I also have the Clio and after washing it, same! It felt like hay! I am adding more conditioner, praying it will work! But I am disappointed, as I am very gentle with my toppers!
I am having this same issue with my topper from Halo - it feels stiff and dry. I rinsed it out and applied a deep conditioner and let it sit for about an hour last night...crossing everything that this works
I like the washing method. Amazon has lots of real human hair topper options and they are under $100. It looks so natural even I myself can’t tell I am wearing it. I don’t like washing the hair topper every 4 months. That’s way too long for me. Any way your method works. Thanks! I just use the shampoo and conditioner I have.
Do you recommend washing the topper before you wear it for the first time?? I keep seeing conflicting information and I trust your opinion and knowledge, thanks!!
Hey Amy! That’s a great question. I can see how there is conflicting information because personally I believe it depends on the company and how the hair is processed. If one purchases low-quality hair, then it will look smooth and shiny out of the box. After the first wash though, it will tangle and dry out tremendously. There have been companies that I’ve had a brand new piece, and it’s really high quality. They’ve been very minimally processed and I didn’t feel the need to wash it. Sometimes, some people prefer to wash out some of the chemicals. I hope that helps!
Thanks for this video! So thorough 😊. What if the roots of the topper are clean but the ends are clumping... can I just wash the ends? And would that help extend the life of the piece?
Of course!! You could do that! It wouldn’t necessary preserve it completely. It’s important to not wash it too often. It also depends on how often you wear it. Also, adding about a dime sized hair oil to the hair to keep it hydrated helps a ton! I hope that helps! 🙂
Hello Lacie! I bought the aura uniwig because of your recommendation and how lovely it is on you. I loved it. It doesn’t look as natural on me as it does you and that probably styling. But now I’m panicking. I washed it … and it seems ruined. It like a frizz ball. And crazy dry. Im scared to death. Is it normal to look like a completely different wig? It’s fried and curly and puffy. Im so heartbroken right now. Should I take it to a stylist?
Hey!! I'm so sorry you're panicking! It's totally common for toppers to completely change in texture after being washed. The Aura topper is Burmese hair which can sometimes be curly/frizzy. Try a good deep conditioning treatment and always use a good hair oil on it. Hoping you can get it manageable! 🤞🏼
That’s a great question! I typically put about a half dime size on my palm and lather it through out. Less is more when it comes to adding oils to a topper. Too much can attract debris. I apply it about ones a week or once every two weeks.
Hi I have a hair topper not purchased by uniwigs. My human hair topper is muted and tangled. Will uniwigs fix it or any other good place that I can go to or mail it. Please please help me. I need someone really good at me thanks a lot
I’m sorry I’m not aware of any companies that can fix a matted and tangled hair topper like that. That’s usually a sign of low quality human hair that unfortunately doesn’t last and there’s really nothing anyone can do. I’m so sorry 😢
How and where do you store your hair topper?

Personally yes, I do! This one is so light that it doesn’t seem to add too much build up 👍🏼 so happy it’s helpful 🤗
Loved this! I have Dimples hair..a new one with wider base plus their shampoo and conditioner! Will follow your tips!
They’re absolutely amazing. 🥰 I’m glad you’re enjoying their products too! Thanks for being here. 💕

Unfortunately, I’m having a problem sending the picture of the topper.
I saw your email Linda and received the pics there. I’ll respond via email 🤗

I’m sorry to hear that! Hoping the extra conditioner works for you. ☺️

Hi. I’m new to toppers. I just brought the Lauren Ashton topper. My ends are very dry and I just got it. What would you recommend for moisture?
Hi Lacie! Can I use Kevin Murphy shampoo/conditioner on my toppers?

Thanks so much! About to do my first wash 😅 crossing all fingers and toes
I believe in you! 🙂
I cant find the video where you had curtain bangs cut for your topper, that looked amazing.
You mean a video showing the process? I don’t remember if I do have one 🤔
@@lacie.rodriguez No, you just mentioned you had it done and it looked amazingly flattering x
I wonder if you’re talking about this one! th-cam.com/video/DxKwfYAD1W8/w-d-xo.html

@@lacie.rodriguez how often should you be putting hair oil on your topper? mine came with a hair oil spray but I don't want it to look greasy lol

i need help deciding on a budget friendly wig please help
Is this washing/ conditioning technique applicable for synthetic toppers?
Yes, it is. ☺️

Put it in a fabric softener bath for atleast an hour.
Thanks a lot. Will try
Can you tell me which topper you’re wearing in this video?
Of course! It’s the Clio French 14L from @dimpleshair 🤗
Does this go for my synthetic topper too? I
Yes. ☺️
