Thank you thank you thank YOU. You’ve literally done the best video on this topic! I am a hairstylist and I wear a hair topper, and also help customize for a couple of my clients with their toppers...so from all perspectives, you give the best advice and it’s so SPOT ON. You’ve also inspired me and encouraged me to give my new topper another chance, after not wearing any hair and just wearing hats for most of 2020 and 2021😬 But I am sick of hats and want to feel more confident and hair helps out a lot 😌 so thanks again for your perspective and tips✨💖✨
Thank you for your tips - with your help, i found a perfect stylist to customize my topper! You truely inspire other people. I love to watch your content!!!
You are such a DOLL! I agree with everything you say - your advice is spot on. I just subscribed and am binge watching your videos. I am in the topper game full-time around a year in now - I am only comfortable with human hair and my first topper, like you, was an Enchantop! But, also, like you, it did not last as long as I would have hoped and then a color that I really liked maintained the same name but it was totally a totally different hue the second time I ordered one. Since then I've been pretty much using a Jon Renau Easi-Part b/c the color Shaded Praline already has the shadow root and is almost an exact match of my hair color so my stylist just has to trim it. I see you offer consulting services for toppers wearers which is AMAZING. I wish I knew about that last year when I went down my own rabbit hole! My biggest wants that I have trouble finding - low density.. (110-120 at the most! I do not want a ton of hair), SHORTER versions! So many toppers don't come in under 12" in length so I'm paying for them but always having to cut! I wear my hair short (above my shoulders) and they're not easy to find in shorter length - AND my biggest want - Toppers with a side swept bang! My forehead is so big it's blinding and I have worn some kind of sideswept bang since forever. I wish there were more toppers that offered that! If you know of ANY companies that have those features, I would be eternally grateful to hear about them! Thanks, Lacie! xoxoxoxox
Hey there! I’m so glad you’re here!!! Thank you for your sweet words and support 🥰 I’ve wondered a lot about why there aren’t many short options for toppers out there and I think the reason is because most hair, when it’s harvested, has to be a minimum length. This makes it more versatile to be used on different pieces. I think companies keep the hair longer to give people more freedom in length. So while it feels like you’re wasting money when cutting it, I think the truth is the price paid for any hair shorter than an average length is probably around the same price. Hope that makes sense! Same with the bangs-it’s hard to find a topper with bangs already cut but if you have a trusted stylist they should be able to cut some super cute bangs for you! 🙌🏼 Light density is also hard to find but having a stylist thin it out is a great solution 🙌🏼 especially for silk tops. They have to have enough hair to cover the fabric so they can tend to be a little higher density. Maybe these weren’t the answers you were hoping for but I hope it was helpful! 😅
Hi. I have preordered from Uniwigs the Claire topper with bangs. Can this bang be changed to a fringe bang to the side by my stylist? I just started following you so I am not sure if you can help me with this question 😊
Hi there. You videos are SO helpful, and I certainly do APPRECIATE them/you. I would like to get a topper, and I just feel like I'm CLUELESS here - ha! I was wondering if I might ask you a question. Almost all of the toppers I see don't have bangs, but I wear bangs, not a heavy bang, because I couldn't wear a heavy bang if I tried - ha! Can ANY topper have bangs cut into it, or will there still be a part in the bangs themselves? I once bought a human hair wig when I was doing chemo, very expensive, as I'm sure you can guess, and either I didn't know what I was doing or I bought the wrong thing, but I could NOT get rid of that part in the topper to form bangs, and it ended up being a very expensive loss, as the hairline looked TERRIBLE, and I wouldn't wear it. Thanks very much, Annette
Hi Annette! Most toppers can have bangs but they usually need to have a versatile parting area or be completely hand tied. For instance, a piece with a lot of wefting might not be great for bangs because the hair won’t lay forward if it is sewn on in tracks. I actually do virtual topper consults if you’d like help finding a piece specific for your needs/preferences 🤗 let me know if you’d like more info on that service ❤️
I look like a bubble head when I put on my topper. I just got it today. I returned it. It was too dark. Melissa gave me some ideas to make it fit my head. [ serenity toppers]
Haha this is common! Which topper did you buy? Feel free to send me an email info@lacierodriguez.com and I can try to help! It’s usually just a customizing or styling issue that takes a little finagling 😉
@@lacie.rodriguez I returned it. It was too dark, but the hairline was weird. It was thick and I couldn't hide my thinning hairline. Plus the bubble head issue. Hope I find a color I like. Can only get store credit. Melissa is wonderful. So caring and helpful.
I’m buying my fist topper 😬 but I’m not sure on getting one with a comb or clip in the front or not. I have hair in the front for a clip but I just don’t want it to look bulky or to not lay flat on my head because of it. Any help?
Sometimes those silk tops can feel overwhelming because they’re a lot of hair. It definitely takes some customization to make them work. They almost always need thinned out.
These traditional silk tops that have this kind of cap may not be what you’re looking for. But there are other silk tops that are designed differently. I can help you with a consult if you’re feeling overwhelmed and find you a few best options for your specific style/situation ☺️
Thank you thank you thank YOU.

I have so little hair a topper I ordered is sticking up from lack of front grip of bio hair.
Thanks again, what products do you suggest to keep the human hair topper in good condition
I have another video about products I suggest: th-cam.com/video/CQHGLF2D_S4/w-d-xo.html

She’s fantastic! And she usually has a wide range of colors. So sorry that one didn’t work though ☹️

You can’t go wrong with either. I personally like the comb better since I have a more sensitive area in the top front for me. Hope that helps!
SO helpful❣️❣️❣️
So glad to hear it!
Excelente información!👍🏻
Que bueno que le gustó 🙌🏼
What topper are you wearing?
This is a silk top from Toss Hair Collection in the color Bria 🤩
Yes. The hairline looks so fake to me. I dont know what to do
Where did you get your topper from?
Serenity

@@lacie.rodriguez so, would you not recommend a silk top? Is it the top or the density of the piece that seems overwhelming to me? I'm confused
