The issue I, believe, is that there are no “ Marxist intellectuals”. The problem with that ideal is that it continuously fails and an intellectual would recognize that. While we are in a type of socialist society (when was the last time the fire department gave you a bill or you had to pay a toll on every road you drove on) we need to find a more middle ground between socialism and capitalism. We need a reason to push forward but we also need a better safety net for when people fall. We also need a strong hand but also an intelligent one. So far no idea yet fits the bill so why not push for that.

Leading by example and bringing a straight forward, strong, traditional value-based message is what we need next, which shouldn't be too difficult with the abundance of social upheaval right now. I disagree with the use of the word "wokeness", as it doesn't mean anything. It's nothing more than a meaningless conservative buzzword. I also disagree with you saying, "we need to beat Marxist intellectuals at their own game". But even as a Gen Z Marxist myself, I do understand that the modern left in the West, consisting mainly of my fellow Gen Zers, is a bit lost in some ways. The modern left is fractured, with different movements being isolated in some fashion, and somewhat incoherent in their goals and demands.
I think the solution here is now to try and "beat wokeness", the solution is to unify these movements, to help give the left a firmer foundation for the movement, to help them see the root of these problems, and if we do this, the left will begin to look very different, more unified, stronger and more coherent.
I am pansexual, and have many lgbt friends. None of them are woke. NONE. Mind you this is germany not the usa, it´s not that bad here. The only way we can finally have peace is for us, members of lgbt to accept that people, esp. religious people will never ever accept us, and we can not order them to accept us. As a person that DOES use alternative pronouns, it is beyond CRAZY how violent this issue has become. Most people are not going to be in your life except for two seconds. Your personal circle of people are one thing, but trying to make it a universal thing and bringing it into politics does NOTHING for anyone. The same for the right. If it's not your business, stay out of it. The respect that we need to give each other is that we are all AMERICAN, and we need to figure out a bloody consensus that is both common sense based, but also look at the social structure to FIX the problems. I don't think conservatives are the problem. Why should we address a dude as she/her just because he feels like a woman? He is a dude and his feelings are irrelevant. We should rather continuously use he/him to put forward the message that these pretend pronouns won't be entertained.
The problem is the woke people make everyone think that lgbtq and allat are all woke. For a lot of people like me, they're afraid of coming out and being able to be themselves normally because of extreme hate and more. I for example don't shove my sexuality down everyone's throats but people still hate on me. For basically no reason. And i'm not talking just like "fuck you" it's constant death threats and more. I didn't do anything to them and I sure as shit didn't choose this but here I am. Stay cool everyone and be nice to eachother, we're all human!
