V6 Accords are no joke and super underrated. Owned an 03 Accord V6 Coupe with the HFP package on it 2.5" straight pipe from the down pipe back, (3rd cat delete), single exit. J series engines are super powerful and they are one of the best sounding V6 engines there is, aside from the VR6.
I'm totally down with Honda/Acura... I miss my 08 MDX that I did a muffler delete...sounded great but then I got a 08 Passat VR6 4Motion Wagon that I deleted the 3 rear mufflers and every drive is a exercise in NOT going WOT all the time.
I miss my 03 Accord cpupe V6 a lot
Besides bolt on, can you force induction the automatic v6?

Through my phone speakers upon first listening, it ALMOST fooled me for a V8. Almost.....
The guy on the accord didn’t accelerate at all the car shifted around 4,000 rpms 😂
When you remove the resonator in this Honda’s 2.4/V6 they are very raspy but at least the V6 sounds raspy in a good way 😅😬
Honda’s v6 are 3.5 liters well at least mine is

damn that sounds not just good but GREAT. Honda goes to such great lengths (think: mad scientists) to quiet their 6's, that I've often wondered if they can even be made to sound like anything...? 🤕 whereas the B/K series 4's of course laid the original foundations for the whole JDM/Sport Compact scene.
honda makes v6 for indy cars, le mans, and i think for formula cars as well.
Shouldve kept the stock resonator, Got the aftermarket Jpipe with 3rd converter delete and then tune in with a crackle/pop tune and it will sound way better.

It has a nice pitch and growl to it when accelerating, just not so great upon revving imo. It’s odd to me, but I like it nonetheless.

It would of sounded better if he just put the borla in place of the resonator and removed the rear mufflers and straight piped it from there. Sounds better. That’s how I have mine.

This isn't a true dual exhaust system because you need to have to two independent catalytic converters and two separate mufflers.

I would be sold on a 9th or 9.5 gen Accord V6 sedan if literally any of the trim levels came with a manual mode/paddle shifters. Sadly, only the coupe models come default with that. All of the automatic sedans come with sport mode on the gear selector, and that’s pretty much all you can do. You can’t manually select/pick gears, and it’s not only boring, but inefficient for some situations like climbing steep hills and maintaining mountain driving.
@@isnowyazn I totally agree. It’s the one major gripe I have to an otherwise brilliant car…. Best Honda I’ve ever owned to be honest. But why I can’t select what lower gears I want… or the ability to shift with a paddle… genuinely drives me insane. I like to have that ability to downshift to help slow the car down, especially in mountain driving.
But I will say, the transmission is pretty good and makes up for a lot of that loss. It seems to pick the gears well, and the shifts are pretty crisp…. Sometimes you’d swear it was a dual clutch. While other times it decides to give you a very close second gear from off the line, which kills the mood 😂 but it doesn’t happen often enough to care . I love how the car feels in sport mode… regardless of the ability to shift. It’s a sport option that actually changes the car’s behavior in a greatly noticeable way!
@@farewell_to_normalcy9352 Yeah, I’ve driven the 9th and 9.5 gen I4 and V6 in both the AT and MT models. The I4’s CVT is okay, but the 6MT option for the I4, I’d consider that almost over the V6 6AT sedan. That’s probably a good deal breaker for some diehard Accord fans; a later modeled manual V6 sedan. I remember how so many people were modding the 7th gen Accord V6 6MT sedan, just like the coupe version of it.

@@overlord6815 yea it really is i have maganflow mufflers and vibrant resonators. I had to settle for like making my own custom way and it was not easy putting universal mufflers on either. It was a ton of custom cutting and curving pipes for them to get it on, tbh I shouldve just did the muffler delete i wasted money. From my ownership the 8th gen accord had the worst modification options because it wasn’t many.
@@Zforpres I just ordered a RV6 J pipe and plan to do a muffler + large resonator delete. This comment helped me out, now I know the cheaper option is the way to go. I just hope the drone isn't bad deleting the large resonator.
