After years of searching I finally found the Accord I've always wanted! In case you're wondering what's happening to the 2017, a good friend is buying it in a few weeks.

Bought it on a lark at 45k miles after my college beater Corolla was totaled, and now it is one of momma's darling babies - the other being a Shadow 750. Now two years later, at just under 60k, it drives like a dream, never been "proud" to own a specific kind of car before I bought an Accord.

Congrats. Those are so nice. I had a 14 6M Sport for a few years, loved it. Bought it brand new. Had several accords preludes over the years. Still have a 94 prelude today. Excellent cars. These 9g 6-6 are special though.

What are your thoughts on the BMW 435i? I have been seeing a lot of those with decent deals out there... N55.. So it will have more issues but they are the last decent looking 2 door BMW...
The only thing I like about my new accord now is that they have adaptive cruise control which i love it in the highway vs just regular cruise control where you have to hit the brakes and then keep resetting the cruise control

Wow! what else can I say, other than amazingly amazing 👌😍. The car looks amazing, bro 👍✅️✨️ I still need to a extra big thumbs 👍. And that is because you bought this car in auto. I couldn't do it, but I understand why you did. I've owned at least 5 of the 8th gen v6 6speed coupe. I've always believed that the 8 Gen were the best accord, but lately, I've been looking at these, and I'm really liking them. I went to bmw, mercedes, Acura, and for some reason I always come back to honda. Well, honda accord coupe v6 6 speed MT. I've always wanted the Mercedes-Benz c350 because of the horsepower, but it's not manual, so after just 4 months of owning it, I sold it, and now I'm looking for one of these accords. Wish me luck because I'm going to be needing it and especially to get one in the color I like, which is the gray. You have a beautiful car, brother. Enjoy 👌✨️
Congrats on the find man I’ve been on the hunt for one myself for some time now. I have a 16 9th gen v6 touring sedan, I had seen you had mentioned powertrain mods and being in California and man honestly we don’t gotta smog these cars for at least another couple years. I got a short ram intake, j pipe and muffler delete on a base 91 map from ktuner hoping to dyno tune it soon and hopefully also get a 6-6 or do a 6-6 swap on the sedan but yeah been watching your videos since dell0304 days haha long time but yeah man great vid!
While that's true, I don't wanna bolt a bunch of stuff on and then have to take it off for emissions every couple years. That's a pain in the ass lol. Thanks man, there will be more coming soon!
Great car bro. I have a TL shawd with the 6speed I was on the market for one of these at the time couldn’t find one but I winded up getting the TL. If I seen one of these for a decent price I wouldn’t even hesitate on grabbing one! Great video hope to see more! New subscriber!
Yeah man it wasn't a dealbreaker at all lol. I'm actually kinda glad it has a brand new clutch in it because now I can just put a bunch of miles on it without having to worry about it at all. Same goes for the new tires and suspension parts. Hopefully I won't have to do much of anything to it for quite a while!
I got a black 2016 automatic and I'm babying it. I accidentally hit the "S" and it made a cool sound and I was like HUH ? S ? So I put it back in drive "D" and put in back on Eco. With this car, I'm taking no chances of nothing !
You shifted into sport mode. It holds the revs higher and keeps it in lower gears than drive for more spirited driving (for the V6 anyway, the I4 CVT is completely simulated). You can't do any damage to the car by using it lol
@@accordinglyryan - Here's my thing, which very few people would understand. I LOVE my 2007 Nissan Maxima with it's Black Rhino Rims, Continentals, aftermarkets tail lights and theater Pioneer system, powered by Infinity and Alpine. I can NOT transfer any of that Sh+++ to the 2016 Accord Coupe and it stings. I even tried to stick in a USB stick full of media into the USB port and it said, "Not recognized or some b s". So it will take me time to adjust to this car. With my Nissan, if the World wasn't F'd UP = I could afford to get it's radiator/transmission fixed so I can have my 2nd ride - it's only got a little over 115k miles. Inserting 20 yr old hip hop CDs into the Honda's stereo was NOT fun at all (grunt) So I'm babying the vehicle with Eco mode and I did get a 3-4 year extended warranty on the engine. Tomorrow, I will take off Eco, but won't use Sport (dad will be in car) = Lots of stuff to think about, ya think ? LOL
@@cobrakainevereverdies6940 Lol I get it, but it's a Honda not a Nissan. So long as you keep the transmission serviced you shouldn't have any problems with it. I can't say the same for Nissan CVTs lol they're garbage
@@accordinglyryan - I agree. *EVERYBODY* says the Nissan is gorgeous but it's depressing. A nice looking car, with great potential but notorious for garbage transmissions (sigh) Lots and lots of getting used to. Am debating about giving nearly all MY GOOD STUFF to my sister for her 2012 ES350 (grunt)
I've recently got a 2016 V6 touring coupe, it's auto so obviously I want a 6 speed ,but couldn't find one , love your vids and that blue is really nice, what intake would you suggest? Thanks bud
I had an AT for 4 years, nothing wrong with it lol. Honestly I would stick with the stock intake. It's not restrictive and anything else is gonna let more dirt in the engine, heat soak etc. Probably an unpopular opinion but that's how I feel about it
@@accordinglyryan god i love my auto , kinda wonky at times but always shifts like butter , my first automatic car and im very happy with it . i want another with a manual trans.....
With the new Civic Type R do you still like this better than that or the Acura? I'm helping a friend try to find one of these right now. For me, it's a little bigger than I like. I prefer the old small WRX hatchbacks. But I can see why she likes this coupe. It's a nice large comfortable car.
Thanks! Honestly not really, I was pretty happy with where the other car was at. Can't really mod the powertrain and stay emissions legal in California so
Amazing cars. I hope to one day own a 2013+ coupe 6-6 but for now I own a 2004 Acura TL 6 speed manual.. one of my favorite cars that I've ever driven and the most reliable
I love the 9th gen but what socks is that you can't do the j37a4 swap on it because of the electronic power steering rack, I was lucky I have an 8th gen 6-6 and did j37 swap and love the power with full bolt on.
Eventual repairs on the hydraulic pump and rack vs. electric PS on the 9th gen cars? I'll take the electric PS every time. Swap isn't worth the cost IMHO.
just wondering why you didnt like the 2015 less? its the same exact motor and transmission. Thats what i have (red with black interior and i think honda performance groubd efx from dealer) and it will smoke the tires in 1st and 2nd and sometimes 3rd....also, i was going to buy a red 2017 in atlanta ga and i think it was rode hard and put up wet....if the clutch is already having issues, that may have been what happened if its only got 80k miles. however, i think the trans and engine can handle that kinda of abuse....for how long? who knows. Im looking at a tune, cold air intake, maybe a j-pipe and cat delete.. but its just really fast from the factory, i enjoy the way it is. I hope you enjoy like I do mine - i love it.
getting the alignment perfect in these cars can be a pain glad I watched this cuz I now know everything I need to get mine squared away, thanks brother
The ride height will be sorted out soon lol, heading back to the alignment shop Monday. I'd rip a lip/splitter right off with the shitty roads around here unfortunately. Chrome delete is on the long term list, just gotta find someone who will do it for not $900
Congrats, great purchase! I own a 2017 EX-L Coupe with Automatic. Too much traffic for a manual, but would love one otherwise. I heard you mention Cylinder De-activation on your 2017...is that on ALL 2017's? I was under the impression that my 2017 does NOT have cylinder deactivation...
I saw a blue 6 speed’14 accord v6 coupe at a Honda dealer in British Columbia this past summer for 22 grand Canadian,it was so clean and only had 46 thousand kms on it,not even 30 thousand miles. I wanted to maybe trade in my ‘14 Civic coupe but I didn’t make it there in time, she got sold,I was bummed because the thing was near mint. 😢
17 Sport sedan w/a manual 4cyl. The dream would be a 6cyl, but that’s ok. I’ve totally blacked out all the chrome and she looks sweet! I’m am a complete idiot UW Huskies fan so I painted the calipers Purple💜💛
Did you find the combination of the j pipe with the borla axle back killed the borla sound? I’ve heard adding in the j pipe makes it obnoxiously loud and raspy since the borla’s designed to work with the stock 3rd cat and mid pipe. Do you have the stock mid pipe? Sounds good in the video.
@@accordinglyryan Do you mind me asking what did you pay for it? I'm thinking of selling my 13' 6-6 with 10k miles and trying to gauge what these are going for nowadays. Thanks
Not tryna hate but have you thought about doing a different tire setup? Your current setup looks a bit too meaty for the car imo and maybe a lower profile tire would be a better fit? Maybe in the future if you decide to lower the car it’ll change my mind lol
I like meaty tire setups, and the car is already lowered (though I'm still dialing that in to my liking, it's a little bit too high right now). It's ok if you don't like it lol
I have a 2012 coupe v6 3.5 in sliver, love that car and won't ever sell it. I personally like the 2017 on the intro. Manuel becomes a hassle for a daily IMO
Make sure you do a clutch delay valve delete it will make shift 100% better and clutch engagement more predictable. It will also save you money from premature wear on the clutch disc.
So I've had this conversation with several people and I honestly don't think I'm gonna mess with it. I did it on my old 2013 4cyl and it was underwhelming. I don't have any problems with how the 6-6 shifts or feels overall, and I'm not shifting quickly enough to notice the "slippage" some people describe is caused by the CDV. It's there to prevent drivetrain shock which makes sense to me, and a clutch is a lot cheaper than a transmission. It may very well have been why my clutch was toast but the trans shifts beautifully, but I dunno.
@@accordinglyryan the drivetrain shock honda was talking about was broken axles from hard launching and consistently dumping the clutch. Honda started putting the CDV’s in the s2k’s so novice drivers wouldn’t blow out the rear diff but on these j series accord cdv delete is very safe as long as you take care of your car and aren’t driving it like an asshole 24/7. 😭😭😭🙏🏿

How did you get apple car play/ android auto in your car? And does it work well in your car? And is there a possible video of you going indeth with the system?
Where did you buy your coilovers and how can i make sure they fit my accord coupe? I have a 2015 and i’m looking into the tein flex Zs but I am unsure where to buy them

Bought a 2013 Accord EX-L V6 sedan new... at 10 years and 126K miles it looks and runs great. Best car I have ever owned. I've always enjoyed driving MT cars, but I needed four doors, wanted the V6 and bought the AT. (It is a very good six speed AT and actually gets 33-34 mpg at 75 mph) Always wanted to drive a V6 6MT but never have. Enjoy... and get that timing belt done!!!
@@billyjoejimbob56 I'd recommend doing it more often. I did mine every 15-20K lol. I come across a lot of higher mileage Accords with poorly shifting transmissions. They like frequent fluid changes
Is the trans in this really that good? I've heard mixed reviews, how does it compare to the S2000. The Accord will never be a real sports car anyway and the 6 speed auto in mine has been very reliable with an inline trans fluid filter
Love it! This is a superb generation of Accord, although I don’t prefer the coupes. Mine is a maroon 2017 V6 sedan. I only wish the manual transmission could have been available without going to the coupe. I’m not impressed with the smoothness of the automatic… I’m sure yours can be driven more smoothly than mine! Gimme that transmission! 😁
Do a drain and fill on the transmission, maybe more than once if it hasn't been serviced. I used to have a 2017 V6 AT and I changed the ATF every 15-20K, shifted like butter.
@@geilcourtdf Yup, any older 4, 5 or 6 speed Honda transmission is the same story. They don't have serviceable filters and the fluid degrades quickly, so frequent changes are a must.

I still need to a extra big thumbs 👍.
Enjoy 👌✨️
Where did you get the wrap to cover the area near the cup holders and gear shifter? I have a 2016 accord sport.
I love this vid 🔥🔥🔥
They are Unicorns 🦄!!! Congrats on your very rare super cool Honda!
@@accordinglyryan agree. It NOT worth the hassle.
Great car bro. I have a TL shawd with the 6speed I was on the market for one of these at the time couldn’t find one but I winded up getting the TL. If I seen one of these for a decent price I wouldn’t even hesitate on grabbing one! Great video hope to see more! New subscriber!
Yeah they're super difficult to find, took me 2 years lol
Pm me, I have the exact same car for sale. Only 46,000 miles.
Clean ride dude. I see you smiling from ear to ear @2:35 👍👍
Thanks man! Yeah haha I love this car
I thought nothing to replace the clutch on my rusty old 6th gen, so certainly this fine example is worthy!!!
A nice looking car, with great potential but notorious for garbage transmissions (sigh)
Lots and lots of getting used to. Am debating about giving nearly all MY GOOD STUFF to my sister for her 2012 ES350 (grunt)
the manifold on the 9th gen 6x6 is the best j manifold.. best top end and best torque.. just have it port match to a j37 tb and you're golden
looks pretty clean, rims could be an inch bigger imo but still very beautiful
@@ILLUMINASTyGAMERz They are tough to find lol
@@accordinglyryan In white yes !
@@ILLUMINASTyGAMERz They only made white 6-6s for one year, 2015. So yeah that's probably the rarest color lol
Been Looking at 6-speed 2016/2017 models. Where is the best place to be looking?
With the new Civic Type R do you still like this better than that or the Acura? I'm helping a friend try to find one of these right now. For me, it's a little bigger than I like. I prefer the old small WRX hatchbacks. But I can see why she likes this coupe. It's a nice large comfortable car.
Congrats on the 6-6! your earlier videos persuaded me to buy my '17 6-6.. and i couldnt be any happier!
any other mods on the ways?
Thanks! Honestly not really, I was pretty happy with where the other car was at. Can't really mod the powertrain and stay emissions legal in California so
I drove a 2014 ex across country. It was just me and the road. What a car
Amazing cars. I hope to one day own a 2013+ coupe 6-6 but for now I own a 2004 Acura TL 6 speed manual.. one of my favorite cars that I've ever driven and the most reliable
Love 3G TLs
I just prefer the styling of the facelift as well as having CarPlay standard
getting the alignment perfect in these cars can be a pain glad I watched this cuz I now know everything I need to get mine squared away, thanks brother
Glad I could help lol
For what it's worth, I bought a 2017 Accord Coupe 3 years ago and finally just had it aligned with new winter tires and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
Congrats dude! and again looking AMAZING with those wheels - just needs a front lip and like 1/2” more low
*And chrome delete!*
All automatic V6 models have VCM yes
Power to weight ratio is really good on these.
i had a 7th gen 6-6 3.0 j30a4 was a great car. wish i had it back now
I think you should maybe do something about the chrome trim, just me but this is a terrific car
I’ve wanted to but I don’t wanna pay what people are charging to wrap it lol
I saw a blue 6 speed’14 accord v6 coupe at a Honda dealer in British Columbia this past summer for 22 grand Canadian,it was so clean and only had 46 thousand kms on it,not even 30 thousand miles. I wanted to maybe trade in my ‘14 Civic coupe but I didn’t make it there in time, she got sold,I was bummed because the thing was near mint. 😢
Yeah man they’re super hard to find. Took me 2 years to find this one and I luckily had the next day off work so I could go scoop it lol
I have the stock Jpipe, but yeah I would think it'd increase rasp with a catless one
How many miles?
Nice car.. I’ll pick this car over many of the new and way more expensive car from 2022 congratulations
I need one, I’ve got an 8th gen v6 (autotragic) very fun drive but I need that 6 speed
Always loved an accord coupe. What enkeis are those
Congratz! Did the 17 accorde cover most of the 16 ?
Over half, it definitely cost me some money to do this lol
@@accordinglyryan Do you mind me asking what did you pay for it? I'm thinking of selling my 13' 6-6 with 10k miles and trying to gauge what these are going for nowadays. Thanks
@@pipedreams6946 $21K before taxes license and all that. Prices are nuts nowdays lol
Did you end up replacing the clutch yourself? What was the cost?
Nice find I love that blue color I got a black 14 6-6 myself
I'm so addicted with a accord and I own 2 of them coupe 2011 and 2017 model
@@RudebwoyRacing I drive pretty calm most of the time lol, I mean you saw the video. That's how I drive it. I might change my mind someday but for now I'm leaving it be

College Hills Honda
I know this video is old but why 2016 when you already have 2017? Im curious
That’s still one of my dream cars
Do you get noticeable vibrations from the axles after lowering the car? When I lowered mine I had to replace both axles so the vibration would go away.
What are the wheel fitment/specs, it just completes the car so well
Wheels are Enkei TFR 19x9.5 +35 with 5mm spacers in the rear, with 245/40R19 tires
Gotta ask, what’s the cost on the clutch kit installed out the door? Looking to do it on mine soon!
$2000 at the dealership, parts not included lol

I recently bought some from Redline360.
I got them from Heeltoe Automotive. They specialize in Honda/Acura so you just put your car in and they'll show you the right stuff. Sorry for the late reply TH-cam is horrible about notifying me of comments these days
Nothing wrong with the AT, I drove mine for 4 years. Everything maintenance wise has been done, I have newer videos on the car if you're interested
@@accordinglyryan Thanks. I have it flushed AND replace the AT fluid every 60K. So far, no problems. 🤞
@@billyjoejimbob56 I'd recommend doing it more often. I did mine every 15-20K lol. I come across a lot of higher mileage Accords with poorly shifting transmissions. They like frequent fluid changes
Looking to purchase an Accord 6-6, is it fine in the snow? I live in southern Ontario Canada.
Can't speak on that, spent my entire life on the west coast of the United States lol
What are the wheels? I heard what you said, but maybe I misheard.
Enkei TFR
What's the Exhaust Setup? Sounds very very nice not raspy .
Thanks, I agree! Borla axleback + 12" Vibrant bottle-style resonator in place of the stock one in the midpipe. Everything else is stock
what did you spend on your borla axel back, i am seeing them go fro over $1000 right now
Bought it 4+ years ago for about $700. Prices are up on literally everything right now lol
Is the trans in this really that good? I've heard mixed reviews, how does it compare to the S2000. The Accord will never be a real sports car anyway and the 6 speed auto in mine has been very reliable with an inline trans fluid filter
I enjoy it. It's no S2000, but it's a nice shifter.
I own a 2015 Accord Coupe- it's a wonderful car!
Congrats, I've an 08 hold onto this...
Wow very nice! But is the bad clutch causing the V6 to spin so high in 6th gear ⚙️ on the freeway like that?
Did you watch the video all the way through? Yes lol the clutch was fucked when I bought it
Does anyone know how much getting the clutch replaced would be?
Link to the ebay rear diffuser?
You gotta be a special kind of individual to buy 3 different trims of accord coupes.
No argument there
I got the 2013 i4 and ngl it may be the most underrated K-series of all time. i’ve seen a stage 2 turbo build push 400
@@kosmo1638 ok and lmao are you gonna push 400 in it?
AND you have that nice black trim around the media center! 🧐
Do a drain and fill on the transmission, maybe more than once if it hasn't been serviced. I used to have a 2017 V6 AT and I changed the ATF every 15-20K, shifted like butter.
@@accordinglyryan Good tip… I’ll do that. Our Ody 2016 will need it too, I imagine.
@@geilcourtdf Yup, any older 4, 5 or 6 speed Honda transmission is the same story. They don't have serviceable filters and the fluid degrades quickly, so frequent changes are a must.
