Whenever you get a random employee followed by multiple cameras and a really obvious wig, it’s time to talk about your dead mom
Lol
Well duh sob stories boost ratings!!!
Nothing like spilling your guts about your whole life to someone you just met.
Bad habit I had for quite a few years.
I ride city buses...happens all the time. I don't even ask people how they are anymore. One time a lady asked a young mum how old her baby was. That's it, one question and she answered "This one is 6 months, I have another but he got taken away. He has chronic sinus infections, that means he can blow and blow and blow his nose and snot always comes out." That poor lady will never again ask someone how old their baby is.
I find that so strange lol
Oh yes as an artist that’s been in n out of hospital since the age of 2 you do trust stranger that became life time friends
When you’re in the service industry you don’t have time, friends or money. No one else to talk to but co-workers.
the problem is companies pay minimum wage but want employees to be thrilled to be at work
and expect them to do a level of work they themselves would not do for the little pay they give.
@@ItzaJerm Exactly. They want floor level employees to be enthusiastic and greet every customer with a smile but can't bring themselves to do it like it's beneath them.
I mean it’s not that hard as long as the companies recognize that all those employees won’t be there long term. There is no reason to pay them more because then how do you justify a 10k salary difference of a floor employee and a corporate finance entry position or HR or entry IT person. They have little to no experience but have a credited education that should set them up to bring value to the business. Floor employees should be motivated in ways other than money because if they are not, how do you motivate people to develop in the careers? It is too comfortable and will distrust the corp structure
@@nikakosirati6103 other than money? I honestly think often management doesn't want min wage employees to advance.
Thr problem is I'd gladly work an under minimum wage " semi" volunteer labour force as a side gig just to make up ends meet and promote am active lifestyle that would help the Earth as a whole.
Buy I don't want handouts.
And I want my primary job to be worth the Value I bring.
Feminism made it so that even a lesser Man who works like trash gets paid as much as the guy holding the whole franchise together that doesn't get recognized.
That first guy really hit close to home as an animation student who had to work at Starbucks for a summer. I’m lucky enough to not have to work while in school, he must have felt so grateful for that opportunity
Imagine being a good worker but, one day u had a bad day and then this new guy uncovers to fire you
What a world
I don't understand how they are supposed to be undercover when there is a camera following them. You don't expect this kind of behaviour from a new employee. Also, the disguises sometimes are a bit... ridiculous. Those wings !
usually they have an excuse for the cameras
like they are on a reality tv show that helps them try new jobs or smth
So their employer isn't going to see them on the show?" The employer gave permission to do the TV show" doesn't make sense
my dad always told me whatever job you get or career you always do it with diligence and integrity
If there’s anything worth doing, it’s worth doing right.
@@frenchabortion TEGRIDY
yeah that mindset is dying out with the culture of cry and get what you want unfortunately....
@artug92 right. Damn baby boomers
Seeing these big shots struggle to push buttons on a cash register makes me laugh.
but they still making bank so whats ur point
@@michaelprice1757it wasn’t a point it was a statement, and I don’t know why I need to explain myself to some random comment scroller 😂
They seemed to do it on purpose to see if the trainer would get upset or impatient with them. But it is funny seeing the CEO fail at basic tasks lol.
We all have our strengths and weaknesses. Their strength, is to keep the money train rolling, so that you can continue to be employed and collect your pay. Simple.
Wow! A whole $5,000 raise! My goodness! I hope that didn’t break the company… you know the one that sells millions each year in yogurt! At least he gave him a new car. Sadly that $5,000 won’t even begin to cover the taxes on that new car!
And $10K for college! Maybe he only had 1 class left to graduate.
That was such a pathetic raise. Not even $500 a month for being an exemplary face for the company. Hilarious.
@@StatesMusic my thoughts exactly! Yea he also bought him a car but unless he paid the taxes, the kid couldn’t afford that! And when did $10K cover Dental School! Point being this man owned a multi million dollar business. This sweet kid made his biz successful!
It is a low raise but you’re acting like they are entitled to that money lol. Go make a multi million dollar company if you want to make millions. (You’ll realize it takes a load more work than just serving yogurt and multiple degrees and understand why ceos get the money they do)
It's a Kia, lol, so not worth that much.
If you are not happy with a $5000 dollars raise, then come and work in Bulgaria. The $400-500 per month minimum wage will make you "very happy". Lucky people get about $700-1000, sometimes a bit more.
You're a tax write.. You're a tax write off.. You're all tax write offs!
You can give anyone in USA $17 k a year as a gift the rest of that money is taxable by the giver not the recipient if a gift.
Here’s 5,000 raise to be a GM and go to school full time and have a car youll have to keep this job to keep insurance on. The last one got screwed over and somehow the boss got praised. Pay for his school and send him on his way like the other CEOs
Right. His raise might cover the cost of the car per year. Definitely got screwed.
I always thought the trauma dumps from the employees was odd, but some coworkers actually do that, some even on my first day at a new job.
Remember, this is a "reality" show. That means it's mostly unreal. I know, I was on a reality show and saw all the unreality that went into it.
Yup
Tell us more!
which reality show?
@@bunnunny The Week the Women Went, Yemassee, SC. BBC America, 2011.
@@1958NeeNeeOMG!!! I remember that stupid show lol What's funny is that in today's world men pretty much know how to do both traditional male roles and female roles lol
It would be such a pleasure to work for someone that will show you how much they appreciate your worthy 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
The CEO watching that woman getting her bra fitted.. 😮
Yeah that was weird! Now I’ve had breast cancer twice and 2 other scares requiring surgeries. I’m used to everyone short of the hospital janitor seeing my boobs lol 😂 but WTH? The lady was FANTASTIC! Omg, after 9 surgeries I can never find a bra to fit lol I’d love her! But a dude on DAY 1? At a minimum wage Job? Oh hell no! Absolutely no!
One time after a Dr Appt and exam, my Doc says let us step out so you can get dressed. (He had a Resident Dr with him)
I looked at him and said “Seriously? You just spent 15 minutes feeling me up, you can’t bare to see me put clothes ON?” And I was dressed by the time I was finished 😂😂😂 The Resident Dr (this was in a Navy Hospital) held that laugh in till it nearly killed him! Then my Dr busted out laughing so we all did! He says “well you do have a point” lol
Just a little breast cancer humor 😊
I’m so bummed that our Hometown Buffet closed their doors for good during Covid. They were always so busy with lines out the doors. We’d go there every Thanksgiving and the lines would be so long, they’d wrap around the corners of the mall. Very, very good food.
Nice one !
As A European, I have to say: Yes, I appreciate the raises and and the Bonus Payment such as these for covering student loans.
However, what about a system with people, but also companies pay a lot of more taxes, but on the other hand, people get not be suffering so easily by medical emergency or studying on a normal average university?
That buffet was my first buffet when I was a kid. Had to chance to finally go when my adopted father took me with other kids.
It's so amazing that the worker does not notice the camera man filming his every move.
That's great Michelle has 15G to go to school but after being promoted to General Manager and the work schedule that comes with she won't have any time left for it
❤ forever show teaches you things but you’ll get your own flow
This was wholesome af
I'm watching the earlier seasons and it's hilarious that all they get is a freaking promotion from part-time to full time lol. And they're sobbing as if this is so life-changing.
They are sobbing because they have to work full time.
Have you ever considered making more money may in fact change someone's life?
All ceo’s: “its alot more physical than i thought”
My favorite one was a episode that wasn't on this video it was the boss of models he gave the one woman $250,000 and all taxes were paid so she got the full 250k
It's more about giving than anything. And not expecting anything back.
nobody gonna talk ab how he jus stood behind the curtain an watched
I really wanted to see the actual reveal!
I hate the bosses of HomeTown Buffet. They shut down all of their locations in South San Diego County, CA with no warning.
Same in Oregon, but our closure was due to Covid. They were always so busy with lines around the corner of the mall.
The one in my town shutdown without notifying employees XD they came to work the next day to see a closed sign and locked doors
I love this show
Man, I miss Hometown Buffet. Good times there in the 90's.
all these bosses get props for stepping into the fire at all even without the charity.
Yeah I'm sure undercover Boss isn't paying them a bunch of money to do so
I have crazy skills and can’t get hired driving a forklift…..
A chip and a chair.
Maybe theres an explanation for this but im wondering if the camera man is undercover too...
Soooo the first Ceo didn't fire the two girls that are getting paid for standing around ? 🙄
I would have. But that's what they are paid to do, look pretty to get us stupid men in the door.
That's their job. Getting paid to show off the T&A, not stock beer mugs in the cooler.
One thing I always hated about this show... These CEO's give gifts and money to one or two employees in a company of hundreds or thousands. They also never address systematic issues found within the company. They focus on one or two employees. What about all of the other employees struggling to pay bills and debts on low pay?
What these videos show is most people work these jobs as a backup, these business need to recognize they have a high turnover and look on how to improve work efficiency of the org as a whole not just rely on 1 good employee. As that employee I have seen 2 businesses close when I left my position as there was no good trainer at the job anymore. A low hanging fruit is improving the training and operational processes for these employees in a way that is fast, easy to understand and replicate.
Dillon is amazing
I wonder if old country buffet got new registers ?
These companies must be going through some sort of scandal or lawsuit to immediately get on undercover boss. I'll spend 500,000 dollars on my employee because it warms the heart. There is always a reason behind their actions and it usually mirrors the amount that they spend.
no... not always.. your take is shit sorry
Was the cameraman undercover 🤔
The concept of "multi tasking" is one of the worst things ever to infect the workplace. Having spent fourteen years in Customer Service, both in retail and in call centers I have seen first hand that the employees who take on one task, complete it and then move on to the next are far more productive than the so-called multi-taskers.
I have a screenshot showing that their isn’t a thins up icon available
Donato’s Pizza, hold up on the new ordering system. Let’s take care of the serious sanitary flaw. How can you be making someone’s pizza without putting on a pair of nitrile gloves.
Wish i had boss with half that heart!
So how big are the cameras?
These U.C.B's are wonderful people ❤
Man, who’s chopping all these onions
Things I've noticed: Male CEOs seem to almost always be tall, older, and white.
Employees vent there darkest traumas to the new person (I don't understand this. Makes me question the shows authenticity)
Everyone has a sob story to tell.
They did not show the reveal... just the chit chat after the reveal.
1:22 Well DUH.
These are just basically promo ads for the companies. Look how nice we are... we have this woman $100K. I doubt it ever happens again.
Hey there Employee A, were gonna hire a "new person" and we want them to shadow you, oh and there will be cameras everywhere. Its for a "documentary" of the store.
the CEO's need to be embarassed
The problem with employees is they want to walk in and be on the top shelf. You have to work to earn. You should be happy that you have a job.
No, the majority of "problem" with employees is that they bust their ass and are not recognized, so they leave. Then the company wonders why they have a retention issue.
What kind of show do these people think they're on before the reveal?
AGAIN!!! WHERE IS THE MOMENT OIF THE REVEAL????? That's what we come here to see, what the hell... where is it?
I always feel like it's a setup. I mean if you're an employee and a camera man comes to your company with someone who needs to be trained. How can you not expect that to be another undercover boss episode as it has been running for years. I would do my outmost best that day and give them a said story and hope for the best.
They apparently create a dummy TV show premise to justify the cameras there.
Wish it were just the first reveals w/o voiceovers
Why’s every person getting 17,000 raises
How many women feel comfortable with a man watching you trying on a bra, I know there is a curtains blocking the view, but I think that is staged.
Oh hell yeah. A min wage employee on day 1. No. He’s lost his damn mind
Don't forget the cameraman, sound crew and the rest. Of course it's staged, most likely loosely scripted too.
I don't understand why Americans equate experience with schooling. That's another strange facet of Americans. Someone says they can't gain employment in their chosen field because they don't have experience and then the first question is about why he doesn't go back to school. School is school, experience is experience. Schooling is not experience.
Um... experience is cheaper than schooling. Not to mention, schooling can give you more opportunities and networking opportunities
Never understood why some low-skilled entry level roles almost require a PHD… Such a limitation talent-wise… (and yes I do realize that other factors & volume considerations are at play). Role educational requirements, should be in-line with the activities expected. Simple.
I couldn't get how cameraman works on undercover boss?
Yall keep talking about min wage, but forget min wage jobs aren't for adults with families. They are made for high school kids/young adults in college to have a bit of cash. They arent careers.
This just makes me mad. Why not pay lIving wages and have universal healthcare. The fuck is going on in this society
Found my new yt video genre to binge upon. I fantasize all the time about meeting the undercover CEO of my company, telling me about my potential and how much of a douche my manager is. Anyways, back to reality folks!
I feel like in the donatos episode they knew she was the undercover boss which is why they threw her in the fire with all those orders 😂😭 just to show her how it actually is working there
10:15 scared me
Hey! Wouldn't it be cool if all CEOs would pay fair wages to everyone in America instead of rewarding a single employee, which I guarantee didn't cost the CEO a damn penny. All the CEOs on this show probably made more money through the TV production and tax cuts than they gave away. Especially the TV producers, i guarantee they hired investigators for employees to see if they were in debt, sick family, etc.
Our country is broken.
The CEO watching that woman getting her bra fitted..
This is why all bosses, CEOs, etc. need to take the time to work with their employees.
It’s strange, the name of the show is called “UNDERCOVER BOSS” yet there’s a camera or cameras in your face and following you and the worker(s) around the work place. HOW IS IT UNDERCOVER??
Plus their disguises are beyond ridiculous! I mean come on, it’s like they’re trying to look like showered homeless people! That alone would be the giveaway. Toss in the camera crew lol How they can still be as stupid as acting like an ass then get fired… it’s all acting
Mainly just because they do know someone's coming in like that. But they don't know it's the CEO or Owner etc
This just makes the CEO’s look bad. If they gave a crap in the first place none of this would be going on
If as undercover boss I get to look at woman in their underwear all day I too will become inspired!
Interesting series but is it me or are the 'undercover boss' shows just massive PR stunts to promote their brands?
i dont get it, if they know they are being recorded how is this undercover.
So that 5k will cover the insurance in the brand new car... maybe...
If the car is paid off he won't have to carry full insurance. Only if under loan to bank and collision is very expensive.
I been on undercover boss, and let me tell you: nearly 100% scripted! there's always one bad employee per episode, and they never worked for the company, it's actors, however the ones who get prizes are real people.
except for in Asia in which a job is appreciated no matter what type, as puts food on the table, roof over our heads, keeps water and electricity coming... aka humble...
What ever happened to this show? It's like it disappeared off the map. For like the last four years I have tried to search for it everywhere. TH-cam has hardly any episodes, hulu has none, Netflix has none, There's no dvd's that I can find anywhere in store or online. Even prime doesn't have it.
this always pisses me off that one person get $$$$$ and they could have increased the income of all employees and show they are appreciated. makes a better employee that will work and stay instead of turnovers
Wow employee of the month no way! Franklin from gta 5 was right.
Does anyone else think that sometimes the employees know this is their actual boss and just play along and give a sob story in hopes of receiving money?
I believe in treating your employees with respect and being there for them, but I don't think they need to receive thousands of dollars for just simply doing what they are paid to do.
I'm not a boss...I'm just a regular employee who has been working for over 42 years now.
Undercover Boss is just PR for the companies in question. I would not be surprised to learn that it's all a setup. That said, they DO know they are on camera and will always put on a 'show' as a result. You don't really see the 'real' person like you would if there were no cameras.
"I don't think they need to receive thousands of dollars for just simply doing what they are paid to do" is the most boomer take on this whole thing I've ever seen. Clearly on top of the PR moves these owners/CEOs feel that these people deserve the money. Please remove your head from your ass and realize that it doesn't have to be about earning the money, sometimes people just want to be generous. I'm sorry nobody was ever that generous toward you.
@@solomonkane3573 I completely agree with you.
Yes they do play along. I would too if I was getting money and holidays paid for by boss

When rich people give ordinary people money.
CEO pays off $53,000 college debt loan. Now imagine if he paid _all_ of his employees a living wage so they could pay off their own debts instead of relying of a millionaire to do it for them.
You have no idea what he pays. Furthermore, the cost of education has risen ridiculously since student loans became so easy to obtain. Why not just be happy for the recipient of the largesse from the CEO instead of being Debbie Downer when you speak in the absence of knowledge?

well not even one reveal moment in this video. there was some before and some after the reveal but NO REVEALS at all another click bait title if you have good content which you do in these videos you don't need to lie to get people to click on it!
Uhhh is there any good companies on this show
People just need money. Look how happy they are
The pizza CEO was hotter in the disguise
This smiling philosophy is so odd in Germany.
TH-cam with its ads is becoming the shittiest app to use
hahaha
Dont think many women would be happy trying on bras while a bloke is hanging around
You really have to be stupid to do something dumb before the camera as an employee even if you dont know that this is undercover boss but the can see it on television right
Donatos online ordering still sucks
One of the wealthiest countries in the World sadly the working class is in so much debt and obviously poorly paid but that's the way American's roll.
The clickbait thumbnail is such a turn off for potentially believable or semi-believable while entertaining stories.
