The heart can repair itself over time…happened with my friend’s mom. As you get stronger your heart may well too. Good that you have doctors who can monitor you…one day at a time. Stay strong. ❤️
I’m so glad that you are being monitored and that you have such a good attitude about it! Cancer free comes with a few new challenges but you can do it! You amaze me and I love your videos!!!
Feel you.. my heart is weak since the chemotherapy and i have sooo many other diagnosises from the chemo.. I have 45% for 4 years now. I know it is really scary at the beginning, but in the future it'll geht easier to handle ♥️ Sending you hugs and strength! Greets from Germany :)
romee, i’m on a beta blocker ever since chemo, because it also played a number on my heart and gave me a slight arrhythmia (PVCs). i also had tachycardia and the only thing apart from the beta blocker that’s significantly helped with that has been daily exercise. i was able to get my resting heart rate from 90 to 55-60 after about 10 months. i had chemo and rads like you :))
Beta blockers cause your heart rate to slow down. Having a lower resting heart rate on a beta blocker is not necessarily a reflection of improved cardiovascular fitness. It couldddd be but...
@@1Jennamo the beta blocker itself only got me to 85. with continued exercise it has kept going down, i wouldn’t say things on here that my doctor hasn’t told me first :) it was actually such a good response that my cardio has agreed to take me off the beta blocker slowly in 6 months to see if it stays like this. it’s been 2 years since i finished chemo and my EF and echos look good after all!
I had gastric bypass and a year later my new doctor saw a pulse rate of 43/ min (pre-surgery 85-95). I was concerned but he assured me that is OK for now. I continued the diet and exercise to loss 187 lbs and working my maintenence program. Just work on being healthy , we are OK. 😇😇

Love your post my mother had to wear a heart ♥️ monitor for 24 hours it basically measures your heart rate while you are doing activitys to see how your heart is when you are active
I had Adria/cytoxan 10 years ago for breast cancer. Also radiation. 5 years later I needed an implanted defibrillator due to a near fatal heart arrhythmia. Then needed a valve replacement. Now have heart failure with ejection fraction of 24%. Also have atrial fibrillation. Very discouraging and can’t do much of what I love to do. Glad that cancer patients now have access to a cardioncologist
I am glad you will always be given care and attention by the medical professionals. That way they can keep you safe and healthy so you can live your wonderful life. Your hair is adorable. Love the curls. You are gorgeous inside and out.
Sorry about the heart issues. Such a disappointment after all you've been through! On the other hand, you look so adorable with short hair! Hang in there! You have a healthy attitude!
Hi Romee, A word of encouragement. My friend had chemo and it caused heart issues also. As time went on the damage reversed itself and her heart slowly healed. I pray that the same would happen to you. She is older and it healed...you are young and strong so I believe yours can heal as well. Praying for you!!
I always tell my husband that chemo is the gift that just f**king keeps on giving! I had an echocardiogram every three (3) months while I was doing chemo/Herceptin for breast cancer. Luckily, I came through that okay. My neuropathy is terrible, and I'm 6 years out now. I'm on 3200 mg/day of Gabapentin, and if I don't take it, I feel like I'm being stuck with needles from my neck to my knees!
I can relate, chemo IS the gift that just keeps on giving, I have said this for the past 3 yrs. Taxol killed both my feet neuropathy from hell, I am scared of Gabapentin that is such a strong dose. Bless you sending you lots of love and light
I have issues with my heart too, That esculated since I was in the hospital for a bad,bad skin infection called cellulitis and the IV antibiotics as well as the RX prescriptions that followed for weeks and months really took a toll along with the infection..I have heart murmur with mild regurgitation and a mitral prolapse valve issue as long as blood pressure issues and cholesterol issues...I can't be on beta blockers because I suffer from another disease called mast cell disorder which causes anaphylaxis amongst many other things...I wish you nothing but the best...Continued blessings to you&your family as you celebrate that you are cancer free...On another note what's going on in the Ukraine is just heartbreaking and we have to do everything we can to help them..
I survived cancer and I've had heart problems also, but I think it might calm down. Chemo causes many additional problems for sure but I live with it. Take extra special.care of yourself love the pup.
I’m bummed to hear about your heart condition but glad they can address it. My two rounds of chemo left me with hypersensitive skin issues, (especially on my legs) that my doctors do not know how to address. Almost all pants, blankets offer a painful, scratchy sensation even with the softest of fabrics. It’s a mystery that I may have to live with for the rest of my life. And dried everything is also a MAJOR side effect. Cancer free for two years and dealing with this is just horrible.
I’m a retired (Medically at 44 due to illnesses) ITU nurse in Scotland so I fully understand how your feeling on both sides. Some chemo regimes are so cardiotoxic and in Scotland dependant on what ones you are on they do an ejection fraction tests of the heart to see if your heart is healthy enough to have the chemo. It’s sad you have now had this complication from the chemo. Have they given you a diagnosis for what you are dealing with ? And your still very young, and have a long life ahead of you and I’m sure it will involve the hospital less and less xxx
Yeah my dad died from the cancer treatments, the drugs affected his heart. There really should be better treatment in this day. Thankfully they found any issue with you early so blessings for you! So glad the cancer is gone, and your hair growing out looks so cute on you
This month is my 20-year anniversary of being cancer-free. I also got cardiomyopathy which is a form of congestive heart failure from all of the heavy chemo I had 20 years ago I have been on a pill twice a day ever since. And, my heart is doing very well. I hope all goes well with you.
I developed dilated cardiomyopathy for unknown reasons (!) over a decade ago. I take a pill twice a day too. Dilated cardiomyopathy meams enlarged heart from heart muscle dysfunction. If not treated or discovered in time, someone with dilated cardiomyopathy (usually left ventricle) will go into congestive heart failure as the heart struggles to pump and fluid (congestive) builds up. That is what happened to me. The heart is so amazing and can often "remodel" after being damaged. I'm glad you're doing well! I am too. I now only go in for an appointment with my cardio and get an echocardiogram once a year, which is great for me because those doctor visits give me super anxiety! I
@@mygirldarby I have to go see my Cardiologist twice a year. I get Echos each time I go & then every so often I have to get a CT or MRI - I forget which one - I get so many tests done, I get confused. I had a heart cath 20 years ago to make sure my heart could take the chemo & then I had one about 2 years ago. I love my doctor. He is much younger than me. Romee, chemotherapy is quite aggressive that it can do some damage to the heart and other organs, but I am glad that you are being monitored and you are cancer free.
I had problem with endometriosis, extreme heavy period and pain. This made me so stress and anxious so same time I figured out that my heart no working normally so I gone to specialist and I got beta blocker. So far my my first problem been fixed I calmed down and I could stopped the heart medication too. All the best for you and be strong.
I am 66 years old and I have been on heart medication for irregular heartbeats since I was 37. It can be upsetting when you first get diagnosed. Take care.
Please have them check your thyroid. Sometimes sickness or chemo can trigger your thyroid to act up. I’m on beta blockers because of my thyroid. So, your heart may not be the origin of your issues.
You know, I had to have half of my thyroid removed a couple of years ago. There was a growth on it that could have been cancer, but it was benign. I did not even think to ask if that could have been a problem caused by me chemo 20 years ago.
VACCUMING releases the dander into the air. I'm allergic to cats and whenever i'd visit my cat friend she knew NOT to VAC. If she did i'd have to leave because I wouldn't be able to breath.
It’s a good thing that they realize this about chemo now and you can at least be proactive about it! My best friend’s dad had lymphoma as a young man, beat it and has been cancer-free for decades, but ended up having a major heart attack and needing bypass surgery in his 60s! They said it was likely because of the effects of chemo. So at least you will be monitored and they can catch any problems early!
I really hope the medication can help your heart function. I've never been on chemo, but i have fibromyalgia, it's also doing a number on my heart and i'm currently waiting for an ultrasound. I wish you the best Romee and keep up with your positive attitude, it's the best way to deal with health challenges. Much love from Québec, Canada 🇨🇦
I have tachycardia and take medication and have for over 25 years. Mine started after an outpatient surgery and the Anesthesiologist overdosed me.My heart rate was 150, up to 180. On my medication it stays around 70. It was scary at first, but I don’t think about it anymore. Take care Romee! 🙏❤️
Another lovely video from you; I love ALL your videos! So, you have another issue as a result from the chemo, but you are handling it with a positive attitude, which does not surprise me at all. I've watched your whole cancer journey videos, and you inspire me so much! Your hair looks adorable...just spike it up with gel! You don't need a hat.
My mom has to have a heart monitor fitted every so often to check for irregular rhythms. You took that monitor like a champ. Prayers lifted for you, Romee.
You sound like my mother. My mother had chemo. 7 years later she in remission. But has a heart condition she never had before treatment. The treatments cure one thing and then cause another. The hospital loves you too much to let you go altogether. Be careful and listen to your body.
I had chemo in 2014 for breast cancer. I was treated at a large medical center, before chemo or radiation every patient met with cardsoncology prior to starting treatment, at 3 months, 6months and then yearly for 4 years. I was put on an oral pill to keep my heart strong, each appointment I had an echocardiogram. I too have neuropathy in my hands and feet. Hugs
I’m so sorry your chemo both didn’t work & left you with problems. Mine hasn’t worked either & I ho this week to see my consultant to discuss my surgical & immunotherapy options. My chemo has left me with neuropathy too. My feet are worse than my hands. From my toes to half-way up my calves are numb & my nail beds of my fingers & toes hurt as if they’ve been hit with a hammer. I cannot feel properly with my fingertips, there is a strange sensation in them. Hopefully immunotherapy works & doesn’t leave me with more problems xx
Chemo is so hard on your body :( I hope your heart ❤️ gets stronger . .and you are right it is unfortunate. And not fair ! :( . I love your puppers . And car washes are always fun lol . Here we have one you go into , it’s dark and then you get a neon show while you sit and wash your car 😊I’m having faith that you’re going to be ok . ❤️❤️❤️❤️ oh and your hair is getting long fast !! It’s coming in beautiful
I see your videos every once in while & even though you may never see this message, I just want to put it out there that I think you are 1 awesome human being. An example to others of how to persevere & thrive in spite of difficult circumstances. Wishing you all the best, good health, cancer free and living your best life.
I had to have the same 24-hour heart monitoring done. It was during the testing for a kidney transplant. I also had to have a heart catheterization. Both were perfectly fine.
I’m so sorry. I’ve never been through chemo, but I was diagnosed with six heart problems ten years ago when I was 33. I just found out I have heart failure from Covid as well. Just stay on meds and get your check ups. You will be fine ❤️
Thank you for sharing that. People need to know that _any_ virus has the potential to attack the heart, kidneys, nerves, etc. It is very dangerous to roll the dice with viruses. What causes a common cold in most people can do major damage in some others. There are cardiac viruses too, and they are always floating around in society, being passed around, and while most people can fight them off, some can't.
I was diagnosed 20 years ago with an ef of 17 percent so was put on beta blockers with the strength gradually increased. I have been stable all these years. My daughter had to go on beta blockers as well but doesn't even need specialist checkups. I personally would be thrilled with a 50 percent ejection fraction but will agree it was very scary in the early days. You will be fine and allow time as the heart seems to find its own normal.
I am a heart patient and a miracle So understand my dear they eill really take care of you and help you get heart healthy just takes time. I am praying fir you dear.
There’s so much you can do for your heart….like the foods you eat, exercise, meditation, yoga ,improving posture. The heart in some cases can recover. Anyway, you look great! Some of the inflammation is definitely going away….and your hair is coming back! I feel very positive about your future. Oh and do a detox diet ….it helps to remove some toxins from chemo. Nurture your body….
I had childhood cancer twice. 2 different bone cancer. I had chemo and radiation for one and thr radiation Causused thr second cancer, so only chemo that time. 20 years later, I have end stage heart failure caused by the chemo. My kidneys are failing and my lungs as well due to the heart. Its an VERY cruel world. Very painful. In and out of the hospitals, BECAUSE of cancer but not with it anymore. exhausting. absolutely exhausting emotionally, physically and mentally. So many hugs your way at the beginning of the journey with all the extra shi# caused by cancer. PS. neuropathy is weird, ya?
Welcome to socialized medicine. It takes forever to get appointments and simple test results and follow up appointments made. So happy now that my relatives have moved to the US. They highly praise the US healthcare system. While it does have faults it is still the best care in the world. Good luck with your treatments...
I have Bradycardia of the heart. I now have a pacemaker. I will be a heart patient for the rest of my life as well. Don't be afraid to call your cardiologists and ask questions , i always do!!
EF of 50%. is pretty good. My cousin is 23 and had Ewing sarcoma when he was 4 and had radiation and chemotherapy and surgeries through high school and into college. He had to take a lot of heart medication because the chemo also affected it. They were able to shrink it enough to get most of the tumor out that was in Pelvis and shrunk it into the femur for the most part. His heart has recovered some now so think good thoughts. Sending you love from the US
I like your hair messy like it was when you woke up. It looked very cute. I'm sorry about your heart problem. I hope that this is the end of your long journey of illness. You need a break to enjoy your life to the fullest. Best wishes from Canada.
Romee, I think this may be the first time I am commenting on your channel. I have followed you throughout your cancer journey and your resilience, perseverance and tenacity has been so inspiring. You have this unique quality that pours out positive energy. It is a hard pill to swallow knowing that the chemotherapy intended to cure you failed you in so many ways. However, being the Romee I have come to know you will take it in your stride. I am so thrilled that you are cancer free. Jou lig skyn helder Romee! (P.S. My second language is very similar to your first language. )
My mum had non-hodgkin's lymphoma in her 20s and then had a heart attack at 40 and had a stint put in, this was due to chemo and radiation. Romee - I would recommend looking into the benefits of proteolytic enzymes, specifically serratiopeptidase, nattokinase and lumbrokinase. Sending you so much love xx
I was seen and followed by cardsonocolgy. They put me on a med tp protect my heart before chemo. I also had an echo before chemo, at 3 mons,6 mons, 1 year , 18 mons and 24 mons. I was lucky my heart wasn't affected. However I did develop neuropathy in both my hands and feet.
I have a heart condition (bicuspid aortic valve + aortic root dilation) so I can understand your struggle. Don't have the issue with pumping power but I feel the anxiety about your heart not functioning properly, it's like so many things can go wrong 😥 I'm also about to get another echocardiogram (the heart ultrasound you mentioned !)
Ah a holter test! I get those done and an eco Doppler every two years. Thankfully I haven’t had to be put on medication, just have them control my arrhythmia and my calves not getting worse since I have a very mild prolapse in one.
My father had the same problem but while he was on chemo every time he ate he had to run to the bathroom it was terrible for him he had colon cancer but the chemo does that it kills a lot of your organs I hope everything goes well with you and I hope the medicine can help your heart
Sorry to hear about the extra medical concerns. If it makes you feel better, Right after having my 4th baby, I had a coronary dissection which gave me a massive heart attack. No heart beat for 40 minutes. Then about 7 years later, a blood clot in the heart. Now I'm on blood thinners and heart medication for life, but I get to live. So I know a little of what you're talking about. It makes you feel old. But in the long run, if it means being here with my family a little longer, a couple of pills is definitely worth it!
It’s so unfortunate that you have these side effects of chemo. It’s so sad that it’s quite often. Wishing all the best for you! You went through so much - you got it!
love the video romee, hope you are doing alright my husband had to wear that for 24 hrs as well because he took a heart attack years ago he 2 in the past but they were just minor ones he's got to medacation for the rest his life now. x ❤️
With the amount of hospital visits you have, it's a good thing you can declare petrol and parking costs for hospital trips on the tax. Hope your heart issues calm down soon so that you can leave this all behind you as far as it is possible

I will be praying for you 💕💕
Another lovely video from you; I love ALL your videos! So, you have another issue as a result from the chemo, but you are handling it with a positive attitude, which does not surprise me at all. I've watched your whole cancer journey videos, and you inspire me so much! Your hair looks adorable...just spike it up with gel! You don't need a hat.
I have had a heart attack and 5 strokes. I understand the medication. Praying. For your continued health.
My mom has to have a heart monitor fitted every so often to check for irregular rhythms. You took that monitor like a champ. Prayers lifted for you, Romee.
Praying for you ❤️🙏🏻
your hair is growing so much it looks so good! you really rock the short hair even though I know you don't like it, I think it looks great!
My two young brothers and sister went through it they are have long term side effects from chemo 😢 hang in there dear it get better 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
You sound like my mother. My mother had chemo. 7 years later she in remission. But has a heart condition she never had before treatment. The treatments cure one thing and then cause another. The hospital loves you too much to let you go altogether. Be careful and listen to your body.
Your hair when you just woke up with the black shirt on was sooooo perfect!!!
You are so beautiful and I am so happy that you are cancer free. God Bless you ❤️
Wishing you all the best❤ praying for your and ur health always
Prayers for your health strength and peace 🙏♥️☮️
Sorry your still dealing with some health issues,, Hope your settling into your new apartment, sending love from the UK X ❤
Cardiac issues are being found in almost 1/4 of people who had Covid here in America. Big hugs and hope you get relief.

💗Geez. I'm sorry.You are loved.
I too take meds to slow my heart. It does not affect me that much so hopefully you will be the same and it really does help your heart ❤️
God bless you Romee , praying for healing and comfort and strength in Jesus name Amen. Much love and hugs to you.❤️🤗
I am a heart patient and a miracle
So understand my dear they eill really take care of you and help you get heart healthy just takes time. I am praying fir you dear.
Praying for your recovery !!!God Bless !!!Take Care!
Awww so sorry you have heart issues. I hope you get well. You are the sweetest! We love you 😘
I love your hair, the morning messed up look was very cute . Love it
I had childhood cancer twice.
ROMEE, CRY IF YOU MUST BUT DONT YOU EVER GIVE UP!!! LOVE & LIGHT
Oh Romee! Your hair is so cute with the hat! Keep, smiling and we’ll keep you in prayer
Welcome to socialized medicine. It takes forever to get appointments and simple test results and follow up appointments made. So happy now that my relatives have moved to the US. They highly praise the US healthcare system. While it does have faults it is still the best care in the world. Good luck with your treatments...
So glad you are ok!! You are amazing
I have Bradycardia of the heart. I now have a pacemaker. I will be a heart patient for the rest of my life as well. Don't be afraid to call your cardiologists and ask questions , i always do!!

I love your hair with the hat in the last clip!!!! You rock it! Don’t be so hard on yourself. You look wonderful
EF of 50%. is pretty good.
Ukraine is on my heart too. I enjoy watching you so much (I think I say that everytime, but it's true!)
You look good! 🙏🏻 for speedy healing.
(P.S. My second language is very similar to your first language. )
You're adorable! I'm glad you're being monitored! Sorry about your heart issues. You are such a sweet young lady!
I like your short hair. The meds should keep your heart working properly. The war in Ukraine is heartbreaking to watch.
Don't have the issue with pumping power but I feel the anxiety about your heart not functioning properly, it's like so many things can go wrong 😥
I'm also about to get another echocardiogram (the heart ultrasound you mentioned !)

I love your hair it's like a pixie cut. You've been through so much and come through it. And your so clever , u take care now and enjoy life xx
Ah a holter test! I get those done and an eco Doppler every two years. Thankfully I haven’t had to be put on medication, just have them control my arrhythmia and my calves not getting worse since I have a very mild prolapse in one.

We love you, sweet Romee!
My father had the same problem but while he was on chemo every time he ate he had to run to the bathroom it was terrible for him he had colon cancer but the chemo does that it kills a lot of your organs I hope everything goes well with you and I hope the medicine can help your heart
Love you...keep strong 💕
You look great with your short hair....when mine was like that I just gelled it messy until it grew to get a proper style.
love the video romee, hope you are doing alright my husband had to wear that for 24 hrs as well because he took a heart attack years ago he 2 in the past but they were just minor ones he's got to medacation for the rest his life now. x ❤️
With the amount of hospital visits you have, it's a good thing you can declare petrol and parking costs for hospital trips on the tax.
Hope your heart issues calm down soon so that you can leave this all behind you as far as it is possible
I have leukemia. I haven’t known for a year yet. I have to have an ekg and X-ray as well as bloodwork every month. I see my oncologist tri monthly now. In the beginning I was doing all this stuff weekly🙄. I’m on oral chemo. I take it everyday. I understand how you feel, doctors are always going to be part of my life. Like you, I HATE the idea and reality of this! Ugh!! I’m glad for the technology but… Everytime I have the ekg, X-ray, bloodwork I hold my breath. Love your videos! You’re honesty! And I’m so sorry!🧡
So happy to see your smiling face… your doing do great 😊 so excited for you :) hope your heart ❤️ gets well!! Much Love 💕
Watching your videos makes me wanna move to the Netherlands ♥
I know your going through these issue but it never fails that your attitude is amazing! I'm glad there monitoring you! On a different are we going to get to see your new home? I'm very curious lol. I had the smallest studio ever. The one bed room downstairs became available and I took it. It felt amazing to have the extra space. But the way your hair is very cute! 😁
I understand the EKG testing I was born with a heart problem. I was born with 3 holes in my heart they had to fix that at age 12 I had open heart surgery. So I had many test on my heart growing up.
Mine wasn't chemo, but tamoxifen, a hormone blocker for my type of cancer , that gave me a massive stroke, leaving me disabled and in a wheelchair 😢 hang in there.... be kind to yourself, ❤
Oh boy. Lovely clean car. It would take a lot
Longer and
More effort
To clean
My farm car!! Glad things are going well for you.
Sending you lots of love, light and healing energy. So sorry that you are going through all this from chemo. Chemo is evil. I know personally.
Lots of people take that medication for their heart. No fears
These stories are the reason why I denied chemo and started with medicinal teas. I'm very happy with my decision.
