I work in a hospital with cancer patients. since I've been following your journey I can see how frustrating and upsetting the miscommunication and inefficiency in your care must be for you. It just goes to show that even if you're receiving the best treatments, the care and support can have such a massive impact on your journey. So I just wanted to say thank you for sharing and making me more aware so I can do my best to NOT to put my patients through this whenever it's within my control.
Tessa, what a brilliant and kind response. THANK you to you and everyone else who helps those of us going through treatment. I am just back from my own chemo and baked the nurses some fairy cakes w lemon icing and gold stars today, because they are pretty amazing. Hard for everyone when there is miscommunication, and it's happened to me more than once in 2.5yrs of chemo and failed BM transplant. I think Romee is brilliant and it's good that she highlights how this affect us as patients - but I also think that your post is incredibly compassionate and understanding and brave.
Tessa - My husband went unsuccessfully through cancer treatment. The lack of communication was almost criminal or maybe it was criminal, but while attending radiation with him every day at a large city hospitaI we had to travel to for that and chemo, I saw how nice the staff were there, lots of pats on the back, side hugs to patients in the large waiting room, everyone was spoken to at some stage while staff passed back and forth and anyone who did not respond to a 'How are you "? had the nurse coming back to check they were alright and to ask again.I saw patients brighten up and their demeanor changed immediately.For some who lived alone it must have meant the world.I told the staff I spent hours in that waiting room observing them and they were fantastic.Their kindness made a noticeable difference.
Ein Koreaner mit einem 6 cm großen terminalen Bauchspeicheldrüsenkrebs scheiterte, obwohl er 60 Mal eine Chemotherapie erhielt. sogar 12 mal keytruda. Die Ärzte gaben die Heilung auf. aber er hat Krebs damit geheilt. 20-25 g(25000mg)-(2000mg every hour) Liposomales Vitamin C, 100 mg Doxycyclin, 500 mg Azithromycin, an einem Tag. Er nimmt diese an 5 Tagen in der Woche und dann 1600 mg Fenbendazol (Mebendazol-Albendazol) 30 ml Olivenöl. 600 mg Cimetidin 1000 mg Meriva Curcumin, 1000 mg Omega3 an einem Tag, den er an 2 Tagen in der Woche einnimmt. Jeden Tag nimmt er 3 mg Naltrexon ,5000 iu Vitamind ,400 mg EGCG ,1000 mg Metformin, 800 mg Pterostilben. 4000mg quercetin. Er heilte Krebs innerhalb von 7 Monaten......

You've been (VERY rightfully) complaining about bad communication from hospitals and here's another example of that. Always crazy to see that doctors don't realize how stressful those appointments are, and such a waste of time for both parties. Fingers crossed for your new PET scan, you got this girl!
Pretty sure Dr’s know exactly how stressful it is, not excusing it but sadly this is an area that is commonly a problem but has nothing to do with drs not knowing it’s stressful!
Even here in America medical communion is horrible. And no one takes responsibility for their part. My neighbor was in hospital for 24 hrs. and no one there know why. By that time she should of been recovering from emergency surgery. When her son got involved thing really started moving. After that it was not a smooth road, and the doctor who sent her (to the hospital right right away), never gave her a proper apology. Have you received an apology from your miss treatment?
My elderly mum just missed a hospital appointment last week because as it turned out they'd made the appointment but no-one had notified her. We only found out about the situation because her Dr followed up as to why she hadn't had the appointment. It's so frustrating when you are waiting to get answers.
@@jonathanbarron8311 I think a lot don't and they ask why you would be so worried before you know for sure what the problem is? Lets see how they would react when their turn should ever come around.I think some also forget that the general public doesn't have anywhere near the knowledge and understanding they have. Stupid but true.
@@debbiemohekey1509 I always go to any Dr's appointment with my NHS Badge and jacket. They know this way, they can't mess with me as i am a Community Nurse, they know I will have some knowledge. Obviously i know some people cant do this if they arent a health professional, but i would still like to think a DR is well aware of the stress, they might need to work on their people skills a bit though!
Always happy to see you and how you advocate for health, especially as a woman. My mother knew something was wrong and went to 3 doctors who all told her that her symptoms were just menopause. The fourth doctor, a woman, was the only one who agreed to do the tests she wanted and found uterine cancer. It was caught early enough to only need surgery and she didn't have to do chemo. Had she listened to those first 3 doctors though... Women especially have to be outspoken as we're so quickly dismissed. You got this!
Plants, Exercise, Doughnuts, Shoes, Friends, Family and Prayers....can't go wrong with that!
I luckily got through a rare thyroid cancer. My partner of 30 years died recently and your strength and naturally uplifting videos have helped me a huge amount. I wish you love and luck you will beat this with determination and good.medics. God bless.

My lung biopsy was done with guided imagin, specifically a cat scan so that the surgeon could see exactly. An ultrasound would be beneficial for the breast just to see what they can see. My concern is that your neck and chest have lymph nodes and they should not be dismissed. Waiting may allow growth time and you would definitely want to get out anything that doesnt belong in your body. Best to you sweetie. Cute shoes!

Sweetie I know how you feel, I’ve been dealing with issues from my hospital in the start and that’s why I went and got a second opinion and all new drs. I now drive 3hrs away to see some of the best oncology drs Kentucky has to offer. My breast cancer lump was 5cm and was huge and could not only be felt, it could be seen that’s how large it was. My local hospital told me for well over a year the large lump was simply a liquid filled cyst and nothing to worry about but they were so wrong and I am lucky the cancer didn’t spread beyond the lump. Chemo shrank the 5cm lump down to 1cm then I did a double mastectomy with breast reconstruction. just recently got my third breast reconstruction surgery and I’m at the end of this all, I am hopeful for hitting that 5yr mark at getting all clear scans so I can someday say I beat breast cancer but for now I am in remission and I just recently gotten my 2nd set of scans and was cleared for another 6 months. I am always praying for you sweet Romee and have been part of your channel since you were newly diagnosed with cancer and I was looking for cancer journey videos and that is how I found you 💕 Sending love from Kentucky 💙

Romee u r just such a smart, beautiful, motivated, sweet and sensitive young lady. I have followed u on ur journey laughed, cried and been angry for u Romee. U and every person out there facing the battle or somewhere in the battle with cancer deserves to be treated with respect, kindness and intelect. That means having appointments set up and being the right tests at the right times with the proper diagnoses at the conclusion of said test. Dealing with any illness is stressful Dr's out there watching please try to put yourself in the patients spot and get it right the first time. Ofcourse we are all human and mistakes are made, part of life but maybe just a bit more effort/energee is all we are asking for. I hope everything turns out well for u Romee. Wow!! All that miscommunication is so stressful!! We had that happen a couple times to our daughter and I got frustrated!! I got into an argument with an attending in the ER, but in the end I was right and he apologized!! I can’t imagine how it is to have it happen so often!! Continually praying for you and sending positive vibes from the US.

Hello beautiful young lady. I'm old enough to probably be your grandmother (I'm 63) and I have been watching you for well over a year. Iam a retired emergency flight nurse. So your story really hit home with me. I'm disabled from a neurological disease that acts similar to neuropathy.......but my pain is over my entire body. So now you know a little bit about me. But what made me smile was you talking about how tall you are.....I'm also 5'11" I really want you to embrace how tall and beautiful you are. I grew up at a time when tall women were strange. Embrace it! You are going to go far in this world! Blessings
The wasteful time and stress of stupid appointments that have nothing to do with your exact issue is so infuriating. If folks would just communicate clearly and quickly, so much of this movement in a right direction could/would occur. I can’t stand going to the doctors and I avoid it at all costs which is bad to admit but completely true. You are brave, patient, kind and sassy. I hope you continue to advocate your health and the most-steps of the medical community when it comes to your care. This is all so much to handle at such a young age and you are rock in’ it! CT guided biopsy is done by a radiologist. The radiologist reviews the images (before the actual biopsy appointment)and decides if there is a safe pathway for the biopsy needle to pass through to get up to the "spot". Lots of freezing(lidocaine, like at the dentist) is used to made it as pain free as possible. Mild sedation can be given if the radiologist feels it will be a difficult approach. You would recovery in hospital for up to 4 hours. During that recovery time you will be on bed rest and you may have a few xrays of the puncture site(if it is a chest biopsy). In total the doctor actually performing the biopsy only may take 10 to 15 minutes.
U both can do thru cancer journey she loves your vlogs surgey for me was easy peasy pray for u fubd a cure love kristal and Allan from regina Saskatchewan were huge fans of yours awesome job
My mom has been stable.. no growth in lung for 2 years and a little bit of shrinkage in kidney. I have been giving her Joe Tippens protocol for just over 1 1/2 yrs. Praying for your complete recovery xxx

LOL *hugs* The news but no news is definitely a let down but also gives you time to get into the right mindset for your PET. This could all turn out to be nothing anyway and wind up not needing any further cancer treatments.

I am sure this is very frustrating. Glad you don’t have to have surgery, and I hope your next scan is clear. I absolutely love paddle boarding. I live in Florida and love going out. It’s a good workout and can be very peaceful😊
Love the plants and new shoes and was very happy to see you getting back to you, doing things you love and trying new things. I’d say 5’11” is very tall for a woman….although I’m not sure if people are just taller in the Netherlands? I’m 5’9” and am usually one of, if not the tallest girl in the room most places I go lol. Must be a tall girl spidy sense as I could tell you were also tall 😃

Zo herkenbaar die ziekenhuis afspraken! Dood leuk 2 uur heen en terug gereden om binnen 7 minuten verteld te krijgen dat ze voor de rest geen nieuwe operaties willen uitvoeren en ik maar moet dealen ❤ ik doe een zorg studie maar heb in een korte tijd echt een kleine haat gekregen aan doktoren :)

Needle biopsies aren’t fun at all in the neck. (I’ve had one) So I’m glad you opted to wait. I have a hard time with these dr’s and their ability to hold our fate and anxieties in their palm. You are beautiful and young. Great job Living life! It’s wonderful to see your smiles and having fun.

My husband has 4 chronic illnesses at age 67 we live in Tennessee, USA. He has been at numerous appointments that were a wasted appointment simply because doctors must have terrible communications. It's a hurry up and wait. Ugh! But his outcomes are good but it takes the Patience of Job, lol! My favorite Sandle style ever, cute and comfy! Love u 💓

My dear girl, I had a cancer journey back in 2016. I was discharged this last February, 5 years cancer free. I had some issues the last few weeks and they found another mass in my abdomen. My 2nd cancer journey is just starting. I send prayers and love to you throughout your journey. ♡

So glad I saw that you had put up a new video. Your new shoes are so cute on you and I was shocked to see that you are 5'11". June 2nd. Just had my lung biopsy today.
Arrived at hospital for 1130am. Hospital gown and bed by 1200 noon. 3 and a half hours later they finally get me into the O.R. room for the procedure!
It took that long because the scope to send down into my lung was broken and they were awaiting the new one to arrive.
Mind you I hadn't had any food since the day before and nothing to drink after 930 this morning.
I was discharged at 715pm this evening!
Talk about a long day!!!!!!
My lung lymph nodes are very swollen and a tumor right at the bottom of my air way tube. Fun fun fun!
Despite all that you go through you have a wonderful smile and it makes me so happy to see you happy 😊 i loved seeing your smiley face when you got your new shoes you were so happy. Bless you Romee. I do hope everything will be ok xx

Went to the dr for annual appt. Got X-rays etc. she told me I had a spot on my pancreas that is cancerous and by the looks of it you have about 6 months give or take to live. I went home and called my family. And I have a huge family. So three weeks later I got an appointment with an oncologist. Guess what ! No cancer at all it was a small tumor that was easily removed and here I am 3 years later. 🤬 WTF. She put me into an unbelievable state of being as well as my family. I felt so stupid and embarrassed when I told them my dr made an oooops. The dr response to me when I went back to her was…. I should be grateful it wasn’t cancer. Ummm ok. I love you Romee. You are such a trooper and so adorable. Oh yes , funny AF.

Hi Romee, you are definetly looking well, no bumps in neck, seams like the docs, got out of sync again, as far as your concerned ,you are cancer free, as from December. Those new shoes, look like sandals to me, and have you got sports sandals, the sandal revolution was 1987, Paddle boarding, crossed my mind the other day, getting to do it, is another matter.
