Yeah it's up there. I still need to get the rear brembos, and not gonna lie. I think I still need to grind the spacers a touch on the driver side still 😳. For another time🤣
Seeing as you have the rotors and the calipers already. A better option than the eBay bracket, would be CTSV brake swap. Their kit is a bolt on kit and doesn’t require grinding anything down. You should check their website out.
@@Intenseness21 well it's someone from the forums actually who just mass produced them for others, laser cut. But yeah for sure direct bolt up is definitely nicer.
Another option that is not talked about anymore because of how hard they are to find is the legnum galant front knuckles (e39a) they are a perfect fit for Brembos. I was fortunate ten years ago to get my hands on a pair for my gsx spyder. Love the color man!
I just went to TRE as he's closer. I took 3 broken transmissions and we opened 2 of them and they're really bad lol. Hoping to get a built one soon for the summer
@@CrispyImmy its very hard to find parts for these cars. My first trans build was from TRE. But I had to go with Jack's cause they took my credit card.
Sooo...I did the complete Evo brake upgrade on my 2g eclipse, didn't spare a dime..spent quite a bit of money, ordered the Galant knuckles, new hard lines front rear calipers from an Evo 8, 3rd Gen master cylinder, new 3rd Gen booster, new SS brake lines, even powder coated red and replaced the Brembo stickers. Look and work beautifully EXCEPT no one tells you how annoyingly GRABBY the front brakes become, I'm still looking for a solution if anyone has found one. I'm thinking brake proportioning valves ? Or something bc it is Fn annoying and quite frankly my factory brakes were great! I just wanted a prettier setup lol 🤦🏻♂️
awesome man, did u remove the ABS lines/pump? I've noticed my just front brembos aren't that grabby. It could possibly be due to a slight angle in the bracket but im not sure if that's the case. I also put a 3rd gen master cylinder and not positive if there are internal leaks are not, im pretty sure there isn't after quite a bit of testing. I got stainless lines. I'm pretty sure your issue is with the 3g booster. You should use the 2g booster with this combo - as per my research on the forums, check them out.
Man you're probably correct on that! I remember when doing research someone mentioned matching the 3rd Gen master and booster so that's why I did that but it does make sense the booster could be my problem. I did also remove the ABS stuff and went with non abs proportioning valve. Gonna try that. I road race my car and it is a huge problem for me how grabby they are, it doesn't feel natural. Also pretty much all brake pads squeal like hell except factory pads apparently. Squealing brakes was apparently a common thing on Evo 8 when using more aggressive track pads. Trying to see how I can post a pic but don't think it will let me.
Very true IG is definitely a good option lol , so if you're also not experiencing grabby brakes and still using 2g booster? Then it's probably my 3rd gen booster causing the grabby problem.
@@joemurcia3527 yeah try swapping it and see how It goes! I still need to add the rears, but honestly I feel like my brakes are less grabby than OEM lol, maybe. I bled it a bunch too, but when I'm hard on the brakes they're good
Love how the paint match looks
Looks great! This mod is my least favorite I've done to my gsx. But yes be PATIENT. Great vid.

I got the rotors and calipers /pads for only $500, that's why I went with this. Didn't know those were bolt on though, thats nice
@@CrispyImmy yup, would prefer that over an eBay kit for sure!

yeah for sure, knuckle swap would have been something I did not want to deal with haha
Gotta hit up that curvy backroad again with these brakes once the tranny is sorted out 👀
🤔😅🤡
I had the same problem with my 3rd gear . i sent my trans to Jacks transmission .

Jack's still doing dsm tyranny builds?
Sick color, hope you stick with the blue calipers
Thanks bro. I probably will.. once I find some rear brakes I'll have to paint them too or repaint the fronts too lol
beautiful car
🤪🤪
Which master cylinder did you buy? Do you have a part number?
it was just off rock auto i think, 3g master cylinder. I found a used OEM one that im using first, unless it leaks.
