Welcome back! Been wondering about you. When I was about your age, my "terrible" phase dragged on for years. The struggle to get out every single word proved too great. It was so exhausting that I didn't speak for three years. But I got through it, and SO WILL YOU. One thing I could never do, then or now, is get on YT and stutter in front of strangers. Your bravery is truly admirable. Keep on keeping on! 😀

Hey my name is Alexandra too. People just call me Allie. I'm totally blind, and I have a stutter too. You're definitely much braver than me, and being able to have the confidence to film yourself stuttering. I hate my stutter so much. Keep doing what you're doing. Maybe one day, I'll have the courage and bravery to film myself stuttering or something. But like I said, I hate my stutter, and I guess I just wouldn't want people laughing at me and all that, so maybe that's why I don't really film myself talking much.

I want to Thank you, and just let you know that you aren't alone. I had a debilitating stutter as a child. I now make public speeches, and just finished running for elected office. Speaking in front of hundreds of people was literally my biggest fear in life, and now I do it regularly. If I feel a block coming on, or just can not speak fluently, I just say, "I have a stutter, bare with me, I promise that we will get there." It has helped me overcome my fears about doing television and radio interviews, as well as speeches. But enough about me. I am not here to suggest a cure, or any advice. I just want to let you know that you aren't alone. Your stuggle is shared by so many of us. I hope that you have a great day!

This takes much bravery! I am a stutterer as well also young in my early 20’s. My speech therapist suggested that telling people I’m close with that i have a stammer would alleviate anxiety about it, although i am too ashamed to directly tell anyone im close with!
That being said, i am blown away that you have the courage to come forward about your stutter! I wish i was that confident! Like you said, you are not alone! I have no friends that have a serious stutter, but i came to realize there are other people going through the same obstacles as you! I really really look up to you and your confidence about stammering!

You inspire me to not give up and continue to improve my speech. I stuttered for 25 years. Now, I am more relaxed when I speak in public. You are helping me and others have confidence so that we can speak confidently in public or at family gatherings even though I stutter. You have a lot of courage to improve your speech by making this video.Thank you for your video.

I think stuttering is caused by a traumatic event between the ages of 2-7. As a Clinical Hypnotherapist I have found the cause of 100% of my clients. anything from a dog barking in a child's face, to a child seeing some one get shot. This is the spectrum that I have worked with. If any one has any questions about finding the cause of your stutter, please let me know. I think if you can find the cause, you can get to the cure. Thank you for your time

It takes a lot of courage to make a video while stuttering badly. Good job! I'm a fellow stuttering youtuber too. Us stutterers have to stick together 🤙🏼.

I’m here to let everyone know that up to this past summer, I would walk into a McDonald’s or Dunkin’ Donuts to order instead of going through a drive thru. My over the phone/intercom stutter is much worse than my in person stutter. However, i decided to hold my 🥜 and just drive into that drive thru and place my order even if I stutter. Talking aggressively helps me through but I try not to sound rude.

do people that stutter do it in their head when thinking about something? or when typing? idk? those are legit questions that have my own curiosity wondering.

I guess you'd have to video yourself in public for people to really get it. Go for it! Yeah, just kidding. I'm guessing that's the last thing you'd want to do. :p Really, though, I hope this period passes very very soon. It must truly truly suck.

its embarrassing sometimes at work because i have a job where i have to know what i'm talking about so in my mind people think i don't. so i make of joke about excusing my stutter. i prefer stuttering over the silent stutter. those are the ones where i feel more embarrassed about. so i get it girl. but i'm still confident. i just get embarrassed sometimes.

Yeah, this is interesting, I’m not sure if you have ever heard of German new medicine, but it sort of gets at this idea that most physical issues are a manifestation of emotional trauma. So i could totally see that being the case here.
