@@griefer5846 the problem with that is creating entire show full of multiple seasons all the way up to a series finale means that they have to commit to the show all the way up until it is fully finished. it’s risky because if the full show itself ends up failing, all the millions of dollars used to create it could all be for nothing. that’s why most shows start and only show 1 season before deciding to commit to more seasons

This is the definition of “teaser” and I love it. Not overly meta but entertaining nor is it too far away from the release date. It us keeps us interested without relying on fakeouts or giving too much detail.

I’m just grateful how much animation is widely appreciated and still respected in this show. If watch any Noodle video about animators, you may even think this waiting period is probably much sooner than we should expect. Plus, my cousin’s fiancé is an animator. Tough to find work, so even if it takes “longer” I’m glad these imaginative people have a promising jobs for a few years. God bless!

@@joegaddy2030 I think it's looking "cheap" because of the "no overshoot" rule in the tweening. I guess it's because the cleanup relies on a pseudo cutout technique for the sake of consistency. Because of that continuous form and line consistency it may look comp generated movement. And if some idiot on the producer side comes in with a budget cut (and believe me that happens... a lot), animators need to be smart with cutting those corners. And I think this is NOT a cheap animation.
My only "beef" with this teaser is the "color slapping", either it's a new jargon, because it's easier now (relatively), or they should respect coloring a tad bit more (even if it can be outsourced for people with no meaningful experience at all... been there, done that, it was one of my first jobs before I could even lay a line on a canvas). To be honest, that, tweening and cleanup is my favorite part in the pipeline.
FWIW, Invincible's first season had some weird looking animation. It was watchable but a lot of time it was pretty stiff and unnatural.

This has to be one of, if not THE best trailer I've ever seen, it has no spoilers, it's a completely original idea, there is a lot of effort in it and I can tell the animation is gonna be better then s1, and it doesn't criticize the fans for being patientless with the show or anything else (unlike velma), and with the trailer being this good it only makes me more excited to see the second season

The animator that worked on this teaser didn’t do any work on S2… as of right now we have seen no footage of Season 2. I’m expecting the animation to look like a refined version of S1
I genuinely doubt it’ll be smooth as this trailer. Even with a team, there’s no way they would’ve been able to be nearly finished by now. It would have been another year or two before we hear anything. It would probably be the same as the first season with some improvements here and there

My son and I can’t wait for this to come back. Season 1 was outstanding. Steven Yeun is one of the best actors to portray a teen in any type of Media. Just the way he speaks to his mom and his friends feels very real.

Season 1 was great and the finale was a brutal and emotional masterpiece. After reading through the comic there's a certain fight I'm really hoping shows up by the end of Season 2.

With the way, they break the fourth wall in this trailer, all I can say is Deadpool would be proud
I never watch trailers since The Winter Soldier in cinemas and I loved it more without the preconceived notions of what's going to happen. This I clicked on by accident and I'm glad I did, no spoilers just hints and humour it was gold like the show itself
Yeah I had stop watching trailers bc they give away the entire movie. Some good examples would be Thor 3 and Incredibles 2. Would have been a cool surprise to see his hammer get destroyed in theater. Incredibles advertised most of their jokes before the movie came out

I'm hyped just as much as the next guy but the new season is going to come out eventually, in the meantime we the fans will continue to love and support this show and all the people that worked so hard to make it!

Yeah, I’ve honestly lost a little faith in The Boys since the last season finale, what with Kimiko’s character arc amounting to nothing, Homelander being protected by plot armor, Black Noir being killed off right after we learned his backstory, Ryan pulling a Starlord, the writers actually expecting the audience to root for the members of The Boys who had no plan to deal with Homelander, etc.

Got too impatient for season 2, and I recently got into comics, so naturally I read all of Invincible. If they keep the insane similarity between the writing of the comic and show, then I’m super stoked for the rest of it! Amazing story. Can’t wait for season 2!!

This show caused me to buy every volume in the book series. And let me just say, We've only just scratched the surface of invincible. Robert Kirkman has blessed us with one of the best super-hero stories ever written, and I cant wait to see the rest of it animated! Waiting for mark to find out about Oliver. 😁

You do know Young Justice already got revived, right? It's content got split between a digital comics app and HBO Max, but Young Justice came back for season 3 in 2019 on the DCU app whose movies and shows, including YJ season 3, all got moved to HBO Max. Season 4 then came out in late 2021, early 2022 on HBO Max, and it hasn't yet been confirmed if it's getting a season 5 yet since HBO Max has been undergoing a lot of restructuring and animation taking a bit brunt of the hit lately. I heard it got some mixed feelings, but I loved season 3. Season 4 is more of a mixed bag imo. I went back and forth between thinking "this is awesome" and "why are doing that?"

lol the point of this commercial was to communicate how much it takes to animate this show, except this commercial is animated waaaay better than any scene in the actual show, which kinda goes against their whole point. while I absolutely love this show, its writing and the performances, the animation is so bad it can really hold the show back. I hope they give the animators more time to work on that. And breaking the 4th wall about the shitty animation is funny but doesnt give the animation itself a pass
well it's a commercial which means they have significantly less to worry about animating, I think if the entire show was set up to be animated like this we wouldn't even have s2 at this current time and it'd take waaay longer than they'd like
