+Abrahim Karzai From NBC news: "The ensuing #longread from Shaun King of the Daily News is at times hard to follow, as it attempts to summarize most of the 74 pages in chronological order. Also, King’s article displays a clear anti-Peyton bias, and more than a little melodrama. This #notaslongread item comes from the 74-page document itself, which has been published in full by the Daily News.
Before going any farther, it’s important to understand what the 74-page document is, and what it isn’t. The 74-page document is a piece of advocacy. The 74-page document is something that was written by the lawyers representing Jamie Ann Naughright in her defamation case against the Mannings. The 74-page document is, necessarily, one-sided."

I've always seen this channel as fair and balanced. After doing my own research into the character of Mr. Manning I felt it necessary to find out more about the incident in question. I feel it would be only fair and balanced for this channel to look further into Ms. Naughright's character as well, as there are many sources that impune her character as more than just a poor little victim.
The incident with Mr. Manning included two eyewitnesses. The one mentioned in the piece never in fact affirmed her version of events (especially any physical contact) and another who did in fact recently deny it.
So I am left confused from many a stand point after doing my own research. One of them being that this piece is high character assassination and I will need to decide if I can trust TYT any longer. Please do a follow up on this article so I can find a way to respect your channel again by showing the original piece as incomplete.

+Benjamin Obi what does that have to do with this story, and he was proven guilty. On multiple occations with different Judges he was proven guilty. This story is about how he's not a nice person. I'm sure when he was in College he was being a dumb idiot. What made it to the point where he is a horrible person is when, in his book, he lied about it and brought it back up. AFTER the court said neither one of them could bring it up in public. Then he sent the part he lied about to her Boss at her new job and she lost her career after that. He ruined a woman's career. That's the most despicable thing anyone can ever do. This has nothing to do with his award, and he was proven guilty many times. Did you even watch the video?

    • @markdoldon8852

+Logan Routson No no, be fair. He has not been proven guilty anywhere. In the original case, a settlement was agreed to. In other words, she was paid to go away. Fair enouh, it's her call whether to take it to a criminal case. But then he started it up again by writing lies in his book. She then sued for the damage that did to her career. THAT part we do not know about the truth. What Cenk read from the judge was merely his view (which has no legal power) that there was enough evidence to go forward to court. After that, we wee presented with a lot of sworn evidence, which we can each take as proof or not, but NO JUDGEMENT was issued by the judge.

I need to get stoned before I watch TYT more often. I just had a realization, things like this go so much deeper than I ever thought. This is the same type of treatment that I get from my abusive boyfriend. I know how serious it is to me, and most of it happens in private. Being treated like this is so sick in so many ways. I've always been a little dismissive when it comes to women going public with abuse, but now I realize that's nothing to be taken lightly. And the brainwashing is so powerful that it took until my THIRD physically abusive relationship to look at it in this way. And I still needed help to see it. Mind blown.

That is great. I am very happy for her. But if my father or brother acted this way toward another woman...there would be a quick discussion about manners, being a gentleman, bullying, and the A$$ beating they WILL receive for the behavior. Of course my father was raised better and he raised us to act better than common bullies. Even lesbians, sluts, and wh0res should be treated with respect...PERIOD. Poor behavior is a reflection on the bully not the victim. And such behavior from a male in our family toward ANY woman would not be CONDONED. Trust me, as difficult as the men are in my family are, they are angels compared to the woman. We keep our pimp hand hard to keep these boys polite and respectful.

      @tygressblade 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

And what relevance does that have on this situation? Does that make any of this OK? Because it doesn't. First off, Hilary is not my candidate. I know exactly what you are talking about in your comment, the Elizabeth Gracen situation. Well Gracen was EMBARRASSED to admit that she had "personal contact" with Clinton, but she said it wasn't rape. The Clintons did make her life absolutely miserable. Which I thought was an abuse of their power. So maybe you should GROW UP. Because this behavior from ANYONE is unacceptable. What does your "grow up" toward me mean? Grow up and take your humiliation for the entertainment of a man. Grow up and take your raping because you should just take it. Grow up and take being a 2nd class citizen with no rights because that is how it has always been. How about this one, ALWAYS QUESTIONING, grow up and face the fact that being an abusive ass has consequences. Grow up and realize that being a football hero does not mean your need for an orgasm is more important than my life, liberty, and the my pursuit of happiness. So don't use Hilary as an excuse.

    •  8 ปีที่แล้ว

+bloodsoldierZ The Alpha and beta marketing bullshit you fell for are based on a failure to understand a study on wolves. The various wolves were labelled alpha, beta gamma etc from the Greek alphabet. Merely another way of calling them wolf one, two three. Some uneducated steroid addled microcock decided that the behaviour patterns of wolf alpha were worth emulating and wolf beta were "bad". Then a load of self help book writers and motivational speakers took up the simple easy to understand dimwitted noise. Now a slackjawed uneducated barbarian such as yourself continues to repeat the bullshit.
The study of wolves was a long term one, the steroid addled dunces didn't notice the follow up reports which tracked wolf alpha, beta and gamma through their lives.
It makes for fascinating reading. It is amazing that someone who places so much stock in the initial report would be so ignorant and oblivious to the conclusion.
That's low IQ steroid abusers for you, too busy picking acne, fiddling with their hair and watching men in muscle videos.
You should really have read the other reports.

And regarding this video: The "book" in question which came up while Naughright was as Florida was NOT written by Peyton Manning - it was by his father, Archie. The book in question is titled, "Manning: A Father, His Sons and a Football Legacy." This book came out in 2000 but it wasn't until 2003 that Naughright sued. I find that highly suspect of someone who was looking for someone else to blame for her "problems" at the time.
And because Peyton was not the author, he is not violating the gag order. He cannot control what his father does or does not put in the book. People can misconstrue things all the time. Memories are not always accurate even when we think they are. Who is to say that Archie did not embellish or "remember" a particular conversation between he and Peyton in a manner different from how Peyton meant it to be communicated? These are things that cannot be proven either way.

Why didn't this story come out earlier? Why is even coming out at all? Did Manning step on some toes which caused the POWERS THAT BE to stop protecting him?

I don't see why this wasn't touched on, but a possible reason those women were assumed to be lesbians by Rollo and Manning is as a face saving move. Male makes a pass at a female, female just wants to do her job and tactfully rejects or ignores him, so male, who can't imagine why assumes she's a lesbian. To be fair I've seen women do this as well, saying all men are either married or gay, but not being able to imagine 'not interested' or 'trying to keep professional' could possibly be reasons for rejection.

So it's worse that this happened to a doctor, than if it was a trainer ??? Nice...

+Martin Larsen That struck me as odd that Cenk went on about her credentials and professional accomplishments. Doesn't sound relevant to the alleged incident.

+AKSBSU He stressed it, 'obviously' because manning $ Co. keep DISRESPECTFULY refering to this grown ass WOMAN. . . as a GIRL. Some ppl are truly sooo 'dim', smh.

+Martin Larsen Well yes, trainers usually ask for it. Doctors on the other hand have to be coerced :P

  • @teenawinski8910

The "74 page court document" is a document written specifically by the trainer's lawyer as their side of the story. If you are going to claim to be a reporter or a journalist, you need to be up front with that, and with a lot of other stuff. Your bias shows. Terribly. And you admitted up front that you dislike Peyton Manning.
Oh, and by the way, you are quoting a story by a guy that lies about his race. He's not black, but claims to be. He has no creditiblity. Nor do you.

I heard about this when he first came to the Colts. My brother in law is a Tennessee grad and knew about this. Even tho I loved having him as our QB, I've never had any respect for him. Sportscasters and the media make me sick. They want to get close to these big star athletes and protect everything they do. Look at Ray Lewis for God's sake. He was adored, made out to be a hero and has a job on network TV!! He should be in jail!! This poor woman has been run through the mud by Peyton, the University and Archie Manning. He's just as disgusting.

This guy is only going for ratings. This issue was resolved many years ago. And of course he adds his own adjectives like disgusting or outrageous. Peyton Manning did not do what this man is accusing him. And Peyton should sue him for it. If he hasn't already.

This is, indeed, interesting. But, Cenk needed to speak with the victim, better and more fully describe her current status in life and report on the success or failures of the litigation.
