    The FHD+ mode doesn’t look as good as a true native FHD display in my opinion. It looks like a 1080p image stretched, so the image looks softer and the aliasing is more apparent. It’s passable in game, but the UI when navigating Windows doesn’t look good. Considering how excellent the display looks in 4k, I would bet most people will set it there and rarely use the FHD+ option. Sorry I missed that in the video!

      The unfortunate thing is at the same weigh, for some with a better screen , lower price or the same you get noticable more power on 330w ac charging from the scar 16 and with that, on battery you also get 20k cinebench points instead of 13k with this. Could you try out the undervolt on both? Can you increase how much it can consume on battery? Maybe it would help. I like design of this more, but not all part, only the the minimalism and symmetr, although it's too sharped edge for me and do t like the logo and the keyboard, but much more like the side lower deign and the charger size and also how it atteches and the design of it. Could you help me which to choose? With all hacking undervolting twerking to the max, overcloksing power limit g, both on charger and on 100w pd charging and on battery if they allow to get the most performance, what is the difference between the 2? I haven't found any video of all the 3 types of tweaking on power sources, and comparison between the 2. Please help.

    I´ve owned two Razer Blade laptops before, namely, the 2019 13-inch (GTX) and the 15-inch advanced 2021 and I can wholeheartedly say that I have never had a more frustrating, money-wasting experience than purchasing a Razer laptop.
    They are a perfect example of how expensive laptops do not equal quality, longevity, or a worthwhile experience. They run hot and the batteries bloat, regardless, of how well you take care of the laptops. The Synapse software is incredibly buggy and I can't recommend enough for people to stay away from Razer laptops. DO NOT GET FOOLED BY THE BEAUTIFUL EXTERIOR; THEY ARE ROTTEN TO THE CORE!

    I have the same model, and so far I'm mostly happy with it. I still have a bit of doubt - should I have gone for the 18, or should I have gotten a Scar 16 or 18 - but after 2 weeks of umming and ahhing I'm past the return period now! My biggest issues are the price (WHAT was I thinking.....) and lack of ethernet port. There's no excuse for leaving that out IMO. I'm coming from a 2021 Asus Zephyrus G15 and the ethernet port was extremely handy in many work situations. Having to use a dongle is not the end of the world, but for the price and the size of this machine, it should have one. I put a dbrand skin on it, which I'm liking a lot. I've just ordered a couple pf 2TB SSDs so I'll be upgrading the storage shortly.

  • @danielprichardson
    @danielprichardson 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I find this review title odd. This display is really not amazing at all. On the UHD mini-LED sceens there is terrible blooming due to the LED backlight zoning. For example, if you make your desktop background black, then your mouse becomes almost invisble because the black blooms into the white of your mouse making it a dark grey. There is a shadow gradient around the inside edge of any white box that is on a black background. When doing any graphic design work, photo and video editing, general digital content creation etc it's a really big problem. The display is completely unusable for anyone working in these fields. Even when just watching a series on Netflix, faces are clearly blown out, look over exposed, faces like shiny carrots. The backlight zone dimming is also delayed verses the change in the actual pixels, so you get this weird ghost blooming constantly. I would have returned the laptop but it suffered minor damage when I first received it and they would then only fix it and not allow me to return the machine. The older blades have MUCH better screens if you care about what you are seeing vs being able to switch between two refresh rates. I can't imagine how this would be good for gaming, the delayed blooming is so bad any sharp changes in the brightness of a game scene would take a split second to register, probably too late to hit your mark. I've switched back to my old 3080 15" and trying to sell this thing now :(

      I would use a so called "gaming" notebook for the same softwares as I use a desktop for. None is 3D gaming. I use file managers, file tools, a machine learning 2D game, viewing and editing its moves and variations, text editing, image browsing and editing etc. I use arrow keys up to 10,000 times per day. For each of these tasks and softwares, ordinarily sized and dedicated arrow keys, Home, End, PageUp, PageDown are mandatory so that I do not lose literally 2 to 4 weeks per year just due to small or missing keys. A num pad also helps a lot. Furthermore, Blades are missing more keys. Only due to the totally improper keyboard layout, I cannot buy a Razer Blade, say, 18. (Ok, price is also a consideration.) Blades keyboards are only designed for those 3D gamers that do not need ordinarily sized arrow keys and any of the missing keys. Razer despises workers and frequent full keyboard users. --robert jasiek

    Hey guys, quick question, im thinking on buying a new laptop, i can't decide between asus rog strix scar 15 (2022) and xmg neo 15 (m22), both laptops with rtx 3070 ti but strix scar with intel i9-12900H and xmg neo with amd ryzen 9 6900HX, but the whole water cooling system of xmg push me kinda towards it, what y'all suggest

    What's the switchable hd screen like. Is it really like having a native 1080p display (or at least alot better then just changing the resolution in windows)? Why is nobody talking about this?

    • @devyn.johnston
      @devyn.johnston  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just pinned a comment about this. No, I don't think it looks as good as a native 1080p display. The image is softer in my opinion.

    consider all the bad experiences people made with such expensive Razer laptops in the past. I think we could discuss if its worth the price if the Razer Blades would be basically perfect. Well, then they would be the best choice for people that have the money but like this it could end up in frustration.

    Matthew 13 3-9 (KJV), (pray for wisdom, harden not your hearts and let the devil talk the good out of you.)
    3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
    4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
    5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
    6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
    7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
    8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
    9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
