These guys did this show on borrowed gear. Theirs didn’t show up for the show. No pyro. No auto tune.., just three dudes CRUSHING IT….
Who ever mic up those drums needs a raise.
Two rows back, center stage for this one. As it was during the day, no light show. Just in your face rock and roll.
Absolute fire for a 3 man band
Rik wrote this as an encouragement for his aunt that was fighting cancer.
This was Triumph's apex moment. They were so good and Rik Emmett was out of his mind great. Their whole set is one of the best ever guest sets for a live show.
This , IMO ,was the best set of the day . Rock and Roll Machine was 🔥🔥. ✌️🙏👍
Might be old school. But it was a band with 3 guys with talent to spare. Doesn't happen today.

That same stage that same night had Van Halen, Motley Crue, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osborne and Joe Walsh.... And TRIUMPH Was by far the BEST!!!!
The title is a biblical reference culled from 2 Timothy: 4:7 when St. Paul says, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Paul wrote the letter while he was in a Roman prison for two years at a time when Christians were being persecuted under the reign of Emperor Nero.
This was a fantastic concert. Van Halen headlining the Metal day plus Priest ,Motley , OZZY, and Scorpions. Don’t get much better lineup than that for a Metal day.
yeah but van halen got like crazy fucked up on booze and drugs and the performance was ass from what ive read.
Halen sucked , Roth could barely stand up . Assless chaps and on his third 5th of Jack .It was the straw that broke the camel's back for him . Eruption was the only highlight.

Great point on the miking of the toms....always wondered why this band sounded like a freight train that day. Can't watch a concert now without looking at how the drums are miked!!

I saw these guys about a year before this performance. Few of the many acts I've seen matched the level of Triumph live. That other Canadian trio was phenomenal too, but even Geddy wasn't as on point on his vocals the two times I saw Rush as Rik was live.
