I remember taking forever to beat Lance and when I finally did I had one Pokémon left (Nidoqueen) with 1 HP and I was so happy literally cheering with joy….. until he said I had to fight Gary. That shit broke my heart and spirit. All I remember is my jaw dropping. 😅😅😢😢

It’s still crazy to me that they only had one dragon type in gen 1 and cherished wasn’t made one just blows my mind
I mean Dragonite line was the only dragons in gen 1 so it wasn’t possible
ahh yes, the yellow version dragonite was a reality check for me back then, he always had a super effective move and then hiper beam

Hyper beam, blizzard, fire blast, and thunder, literally the strongest moves of 4 different types, totally broken compared to red and blue.

Man that Dragonite was super powerful with those elemental moves and possibly hyper beam. Dont ever underestimate Lance's Dragonite.

Ya'll sleeping on Articuno for Lance, go to the seafoam islands, pack some ultra balls and catch that legendary bird. Ice Beam and Blizzard are one hit K.O.'s against Lance's dragons.

That Dragonite is always satisfying to take down. When I took down Lance's level 72 Dragonite in the rematch in FireRed, I did it using my Dragonite which somehow outsped his one using an Outrage attack.
You should have made blastoise learn ice type moves and for aerodactyl thunder moves super effective pikachu would have KO him I think it’s just the with lance is dragon type you have to use pick right Pokémon for each battle
I don't think I picked up or used almost any tms the entire game haha

4:29 Hold on. Hyper Potion? No, no, no, no, no! Something ain't right here. The real Lance would never use Hyper Potions. He'd use Full Restore! I think whoever that guy is, he's impersonating the real Lance, but was unaware that the real Lance uses Full Restores and not Hyper Potions!
Since we didn't get Ash vs Lance in the anime we will make do with this.

@@itzshadow7x Probably Leon. Actually a fantastic match, probably the best in the series. It probably should have been Ash vs Lance in the first match of the masters 8 though.
You know, i remenber this situation of this dragon flying types. I use a Veusaur against Dragonite and the AI is a common joke he uses a barrier instead...
I wish they remade these with the updated AI but it feels the same in lets go eevee

Did anyone else find Tauros/Kangaskhan impossible to catch in this game? I once caught a Tauros, but never Kangaskhan

@@itzshadow7x Indeed, I had to go to red/Blue and did a couple of cheats, the safari zone pokemon at the area where you find missigno. for Tauros, and for Kangaskhan I used the wild @#$M&^% level 0 cheat, where you catch it with master ball when you only have 5 pokemon with you, and give it a rare candy and it evolves into a level 1 kangaskhan

I always hated putting my Pikachu in the computer
Well guess I'm the only one who likes raw power over depending on "strategy"... I liked to farm my team to at least level 60 before Elite 4.
i mean, i don't like spending more than 1 day farming for pokémon to just one shot everything, so i just resort to strategy
I can already tell that you are that "Pokemon is easy and empty!" Type of guy.
Gen 1 had the greatest thing ever the legendary badge boost if your Flowa had Growth & setup 3 times you would definitely be sweeping the Liar with the Flyers
