Every move has a 1/256 chance to miss on hit in Gen1, even if it has 100% hit chance. If a trapping move hits, it hits and you're trapped. The "damage from being trapped" doesn't roll to hit again because the hit has already occured.

Considering Gengar is ghost/poison, what should be expanded on is the poison type. I mentioned it later in the video, but i didn't want to evolve into nidoking to help with the surge fight since it had surf, and nidoking gaining the ground type upon evolution would've made it weak to surf, still should've evolved to nidorino for that fight but i didn't think it would be necessary LOL
@@Oshawaves i get it was deliberate but early spikes are usually more important, with the stats of an early stage 2 you would have double-kicked that eevee and obliterated the rest of the road until Bill saving most part of your team, there's a reason why Nidoking is the solo runner of gen1 speedrun :)
@@Oshawaves a speedrun on vanilla game is much different than a hard nuzlocke on an optimised rom with lvl cap so I don’t think it’s possible to stomp the whole game with Nidoking; the concept of entertaining is rather personal and I prefer players that aim to go as deathless as possible carefully preparing for important fights such as Silph Rival and Sabrina where those Alakazams can threaten the whole run if left unanswered. Exposure, advertising, bigger audience of the main guy behind the ROM hack. Whatever you wanna call it. There's so many reasons why no-one talks about the Kanto Exp Pack, while everyone talks about Yellow Legacy. Also, congrats on not getting the point. Kanto Exp Pack adds new Pokemon. The entire point of Legacy is to be faithful to the original while improving its shortcomings *where they make sense* and to specifically not add new stuff that wasn't there before. Like adding new Pokemon, doing the Physical/Special split. All those things came later. That is the difference between both and that is also why both of those ROM hacks absolutely have a reason to exist. Different strokes for different folks.

How do you level Pokemon after one "dies" and you switch em out?
Wdym??
@@Oshawaves Sorry for not being clear. When you change Pokemon in your team after one is gone. Do you use the caught ones with the level you caught them or use candies to level them up properly?
@@W34Z3L ooh! I used rare candies, but I also did some training to get DV’s which are basically the EV’s of Gen 1
why u still have a lvl15 nidoran at rival 2 instead of a nidoking ?
@@RandoMattz though I agree. You can’t say this video would be entertaining if I just stomped the entire game with nidoking
You can try with Snorlax next time as he’s a static encounter and very strong in Gen 1. GL
hey man perhaps you can help me.
i have a cracked 3ds and have downloaded yellow legacy and have per injector-CIA-shit installed it, but i dont have colours like you, do you have an advise for me ? greetings from germany
Unfortunately i've never dealt with CIA files that aren't 3ds games. I'd try googling your problem and see if reddit may have the answer!
This game is complicated to download and get. Just make it simple with a single rom file download.
It’s pretty straight forward
grab ur Pokémon yellow
Download the patch
Apply it with the provided link
Play the game
@@Oshawaves can you do a video cause everything I see it looks like you have to code in the game somehow idk it looked confusing

If they make a physical cart ill buy it immediately
They’ve made physical Crystal legacy carts, so they might do the same 🤔
So they “fixed” Pokémon yellow yet when you get two levels, you don’t learn. lol that’s a pretty stupid thing not to fix. 2:14
Love the video. Hate you saying
par-sell and not the basic word parcel.

Helix is indeed overrated.

I just amaze how lazy people are by not leveling up there pokemon and yet try to fight the gyms or rival. When i start fighting brock in my first badge. My pikachu was already level 20 and my mankey was level 18. And when i faught misty my pikachu was level 27 and mankey was level 24. I always make sure im like 5 level higher
the rules of a hardcore nuzlocke mean you can't level up your pokemon passed the gym leaders higheest level LOL. it's meant to make it hard. Overlevelling your pokemon make all the fights stupid easy since you have a huge advantage over their pokemon
It’s in a GBA cartridge ummm ok.
It's NOT the BEST Romhack, there are BETTER ones like Pokemon Kanto Expansion Pak!
It's 2024. How are people still pronouncing parcel wrong? lol
i find it funny that pokemon yellow legacy gets all the love, but pokemon kanto expansion pak which did all of this like a year in advance and added new mons gets nobody talking about it.
@2:18 that is a anime reference to metopod vs metopod
@4:20 once again anime reference.
if you don't know why something is the way it is, then odds are its an anime reference from before you were born.
mmmmkay? mmmkay.
@@AngelOfNoMercyI’ve seen the Pokémon anime, every seasons prior to XYZ actually, forgive me for forgetting small details from a show I watched over 10 years ago 😅
Different strokes for different folks.
dude, learn to say parcel before making a video. You're not ESL. come on.
comment baiting is so funny
