  • The Soil Health Interpretive Centre (SHIC) in Elora, Ontario contains 18 lysimeters providing researchers with a unique opportunity to study soils. Lysimeters allow researchers to study the soil water budget, monitor the movement of nutrients through soil, microbial respiration, and greenhouse gas emissions in response to different crop rotations and ground warming on two soil types. The goal is to quantify the impact of crop rotations and cover crops on soil ecosystem services. Hear from University of Guelph researchers Dr. Claudia Wagner-Riddle and Sean Jordan on this one-of-a-kind soil health experiment.
SHIC was created thanks to funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada; the Canada Foundation for Innovation; the Ontario Soil & Crop Improvement Association, Grain Farmers of Ontario; and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs.
The Elora Research Station is one of 15 Research Stations owned by the Agricultural Research Institute of Ontario and managed by the University of Guelph through the Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance, a collaboration between the Ontario Government and the University of Guelph.

How can I calculate evapotranspiration if I already have the LYS-Weight and SWW-weight? any suggestion on equations?
