Hello my fellow Christains. Hope everyone is doing well on this fine day. Have some good news one of my bibles is comming in today and I'm so excited and eager to read it. I might be a born again Christian and I admit I've backslid for months. I need to put God first above all things and start up from scratch. If I stumble or sin I need to repent and ask God for forgiveness, dust myself off and keep going.
@Kenneth Joseph My brother you know the God we serve. He is gracious and plenteous in mercy my friend. He forgives when come to him with a contrite heart. Andrew Murray wrote in absolute surrender “yield to the power of the Holy Spirit, in Absolute Surrender”. You know you are backslid and he forgives you when you tell him. Jesus said ask him and he will give you. So do so my friend. Have a blessed night. I prayed for you.
Apologies in advance for all these questions. I just can’t find any reviews on the imitation leather version of this Bible. What’s the GSM or thickness of the paper in the imitation leather? And does the print seem consistent? Also, how many ribbons? Was thinking of having the text block rebound in the course of time. Do you think it would be worth it? Thanks and God bless.
Holman used to print KJV Bibles years ago. My very first bible was a Holman KJV, purchased new in 1988. Also, I had the same QC issues with the binding on a CSB Handcrafted. I sent it back.
Pity about those QC issues, as these look pretty impressive otherwise. I spotted on Amazon that Holman have a quite a salvo of KJVs coming over the next year or so. Could be some healthy KJV competition for Thomas Nelson.
I recently got their newest NASB 2020 in genuine leather, and I was impressed. It feels and looks really quality, and the cover is better than any genuine leather that I've encountered from zondervan or Thomas Nelson at the same mid-range price. I think where they lag behind a little bit is the interior layout. It's still 2K Denmark but it just feels....basic. I think that if they did a few tweaks to improve reading comfort, they would be right there. But it's good to see them trying new things.
I'm falling in love with Holman's KJVs. I won't say much about the covers, but Holman's KJV 2KD typeface is a subtle but heaven sent improvement on Nelson's KJV 2KD typeface. They're almost identical, really, but the italicized words is where you can really see the difference. Whichever publisher succeeds at making a single column paragraph KJV first, I hope it's either the Holman KJV or Nelson NKJV typeface.
Would you happen to know if the cheaper cover options use the same paper as the handcrafted collection? I’m considering this text block for a rebind. Thanks
I have both (single column wide margin). The one here is listed as 36 GSM, but feels more like a 32 and MADE IN KOREA. The gild is a nice salmon color and gold. The cheaper version is more of a 28-30 GSM paper. MADE IN CHINA.
I am looking for a family KJV bible. I don't mind the size, big preferably. I have seen all your videos on the Allan bibles and just got ,more confused and couldn't decide on the 53 or 63 as I think you said you liked - none were in stock anyway. Please help!!
Do you or anyone know where I can find a Holman Kjv Bible that's actually built into the Bible cover? A friend has one and I picked it up to read it and thought the Bible would fall out but it is attached to the the zippered case, leather, red letter, thumb index. It's amazing. Since I've searched for one but cannot find.
It's large print personal study Bible, KJV, red letter, indexed, brown built into zipper case, leather. It's amazing Bible. My friend can't remember where she bought it. How I'd love to find one!! Lord Willing, someone here will know. God Bless You All
I really like that study Bible, though the spine issue on the other one might give me pause about ordering one. That said, my other Holman Bibles are all great, so maybe it’s a limited issue.
Their KJV font looks like the KJV comfort print from Thomas Nelson. Obviously not the same, but 2K Denmark gave them something that looks like its sibling. I really like that...it's attractive. I actually like it more than Bible Serif that they use in the CSB,
Nice review. I have heard that there is a Bible with the words of God in Blue in the Old Testament with the words of Jesus in red in the New Testament. Does anyone have any information?
I’m only watching, because I love your channel. I will NOT buy another Bible I will NOT buy another Bible I will NOT buy another Bible I will NOT buy another Bible…….. 🙅🏾♀️
1611 Bible...1769 Retranslation. That's what you are holding there. Same Original Language texts as used in 1611 including comparisons to the Greek Septuagint. But the English Language had developed so much more by the 1760s that a retranslation was necessary. You should look up The Original 1611 Translation on the Internet. In 20 seconds or less you will see how much different 1611 English was from 1769. The KJV Bibles in print now are Thankfully, All 1769 Retranslation. That is the Last Translation that used The Textus Receptus or Majority text Manuscripts. There was a revision committee in 1881 who wanted to retranslate the authorized version. When they switched to Minority Text Manuscripts they lost half of the committee. The Contention was that if they used different texts they would have a different book in the end. Their effort was Published in 1901 and called "The American Standard. Since then there have been more than 450 English translations and transliterations. Which is criminal but it is done. Just educate yourself as to what the actual 1611 text looks like and how it differs from what we carry as The Old King James. ... You're Welcome.
Can they make a giant print single column kjv reference bible with the sub headings. Print size 16 point and VBV. THE BIBLE WILL MEASURE 8.75 × 11 × 1.50. 3 ribbons red for JESUS CHRIST, blue for GOD AND purple for the HOLY SPIRIT.
Why in the single column bible they didn't keep the sub headings example creation , day first day , second day . Like that. The readi.g the bible would be a lot better

No, God has this....we have nothing to do with it...with all due respect.
@@javierdelgado1554 true.
You can get the wide margin for like $37 if you don't mind imitation leather. I've had mine for a couple weeks. Pretty nice.
Good to know!

@@j.gonzalez9833 I think it's exactly the same as the leather one. It has 2 ribbons also.

Looks like they're getting back into the KJV game in a big way!
The Study Bible looks fantastic. Loaded with good information and very well laid out. In goatskin too. Thanks for sharing these Tim.
You bet, Mike! I really does look good.
those look great! Love the study bible! Great review thanks!
You bet!
Excellent Tim...Can't wait to order and receive mine. Thanks so much by giving yourself to help us. God bless you and your family brother...
Thanks, you too!
I have Holman NKJV FULL COLOR TWO-TONED LEATHER SOFT INDEXED STUDY BIBLE.
I really LIKE IT!
(Wow, that was a mouth full)
Hahaha.. sure is!

Yep… they’re looking to step it up.

Yes! That typeface is awesome!
I love the Holman KJV study bible …and now in goatskin?! Whoa
Right?!
What gsm paper?
Nice Bibles and good review, thanx!

You're welcome!
Thanks Tim. Great review. The Study Bible looks amazing. Do you know if the study notes are the same as in the CSB Study Bible?
I believe it’s the same content.

You can't go wrong with the 53 or 63... 63 is just slightly bigger/thicker.

I think it is... I heard from someone else that they were looking into it to make sure.
Holman Handcrafted quality issues noted yet again. They are definitely not on par with Premiere Collection Bibles.
I’ve really liked the ones they’ve sent me… hopefully this is just a hiccup.
I bet they used the same cover on both Bibles. That's why its loose fitting on the smaller one. Just speculating
Hmmm...
How is the study bible is it messed up like the bible thank you sir
Study Bible is great.

Hahaha… I KNOW that feeling.
I noticed the letter H is not capitalized when referring to God or Jesus. Not good.

That spine binding issue is a real problem. Should never have made it through quality control. Definitely not buying that
Hopefully it was just a bad batch.
