That's a fantastic Bible made of goatskin. It's affordable too. I have had for years, the KJV Bible. And recently purchased a larger print NKJV softcover. I love it. I may consider purchasing this goatskin type too. Thanks for the review.
I love how you said this Bible could be someone’s support animal. So much truth in that! Funny story, I raised my orange tabby Noelle from just a few days old. I am at home most of the time following a work injury so she’s used to me always being with her. My daughter & I joke that I am Noelles support animal because she get very anxious if I leave.
A few months ago I gave my mother one of the Premiere Collection NKJ Bibles goat skin edge lined by TN. It is gorgeous. For only about $100. What a blessing! The Chinese printers are not quite on the level of Schuyler, Cambridge and the others but they are wonderful competitors. Your reivew, as usual was expertly done. You combine variety and artistic bent to your settings. Bible producers througout the ages have loved to combine beauty with their creations. In that respect, we are reflecting His image. Keep up the excellent work. Blessings!
Later... I’ve had mine for a month or so, and love it... I got the beautiful blue... Thd double sided ribbons are two blue, and a gorgeous red. I love Thomas Nelson Bibles The Comfort Print is wonderful.
Great review! Just an FYI, this particular edition does not include the full set of the translator's notes in the footnotes (i.e. comparison of manuscripts). But the Premiere Collection single column reference edition does and the Deluxe Thinline Reference edition does (in imitation leather).
A great review again. I really enjoy these looks at different bibles on the go. Would you be able to provide a more in depth look at the differences between the majority and critical texts? It can be hard to know where to look, that will avoid obvious biases about what is better.
That goatskin cover is beautiful. I have a question. Is goatskin the most flimsy and softest material that you can find that literally melts like butter in your hands when you hold it? I saw a Bible like this in a Christian book store once and I've been looking for one like it ever since. Unfortunately, it was around $200. I have two LCBP Bibles, one made of Ironed Calfskin that is a little on the rough side IMO, and a Top Grain Cowhide. This one is very soft but still isn't to the standard that I wanted personally. Any ideas?
The KJV may have some words I don't know, but I would rather learn them and elevate myself to the word of God rather than dumb it down into something profane.

Finally, Nelson provides a great type setting for the Nkjv , and the quality for their bibles is deserving of their translation.

Thomas Nelson is producing some really great Bibles. I have this in the KJV--Love it! I got mine for $85. "Peradventure" means "perhaps."
