    Very cool, that you're able to make these modifications yourself. Love that Heritage, and dig the Deadwood Green.

    Just followed your video and installed the shorter HD shock in my 2018 FLHC in less than an hour. The hardest part was getting to that set bolt on the rear of the shock. Thanks!

    • @LennyK

      Yes definitely. That bolt was a PITA to get to.

      Thanks. Shaving the seat and replacing rear suspension should give you good amount of lowering.

    I had this shock installed on my 2022 Heritage last year. I now scrap on the left side when I lean and the ride is so stiff now. I had to put a different kick stand but still bike stands to straight. I will have to figure that out in the next few months.

    Why did you choose to change the shock instead of using the Kodlin kit you used previously? And did lowering the bike affect the saddlebags being closer to the exhaust at all?

  • @rolandomejia3614

    We are getting a 2002 Heritage Softail Classic. She's a shorty so this video is super helpful! Thank you! We are also going to change her seat from stock so that she doesn't have to have such a wide stance. She found one, but she really liked the seat on your bike when watching this video. Can you tell me what make and model of seat is on this bike? Thanks so much!!

    Nice looking bike! Im on the market for one like yours, have you ever had any issues with the tubed tires? As far as I know, having a puncture at highway speeds with that kind of tires could be dangerous since they loose air inmediately, any thoughts?

      I don’t t ride it super aggressive but have not scrapped the floorboards yet.

  • @markhenry192
    @markhenry192 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you had the shock on the lowest setting (number 1) would that not lower the bike a bit? Or have I got that all wrong? I recently put the reach seat on my Softail Low Rider (Inseam 28"), boy it certainly pushes you forward which is both good and bad. I also found it put my foot a little more flat to the floor, not completely but a bit. Thanks informative video.

    • @LennyK
      @LennyK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you liked the video. Yeah, if you set it on 1 it doesn't actually lower the bike. It just makes the suspension softer (1 is softest setting).
