Let me know if there was ever a bike you hated until you rode it. Also, I'd love to have yall come subscribe to my other channel where I'm putting out my own music and streaming regularly. I have an awesome community there as well 👊 th-cam.com/channels/5ObmeWVmq9mPxl0upqNf7w.html
I have subscribed. I could use you as a subscriber as well. I am probably going to do my own music soon. I have had 2 albums out and a dozen songs published in Nashville. It was of course long, long ago. I am not sure how to bring 45 years of music business to my videos yet. I made my living as an audio engineer traveling 60 countries and all 50 states. I'm damn tired.
@@HarleyGeezer1954 I subbed. Music is hard but satisfying to take something and express your feelings to a beat or a Rythmn and have others feel that emotion too. Whatever type of music, take it and do audio versions first and then try them in video form. That’s the easiest way
i bought the 114 .added the tourqe cam and ss intake manifold. vance hines 300 elimaters. mustache engin guard and bag guard. putting out 1o5 hp and 114 tourqe ..just a great motorcycle !!
Just got my 2023 Heritage Classic blacked out in Prospector Gold. Retirement present from wifey, I'm 68 and have been living in hotels and rental cars for last 47 years. My last bike was a Honda 450CB back in 74. All I gotta say about this bike is "cool, classy, great ride, and a beast with the 114".
You talked me into this bike. At 75 yrs old and still riding, I found my 06 Electra Glide too heavy and needed something lighter without sacrificing windshield and luggage. So I traded it in for a 2019 Heritage Classic, blacked out with the 114.The suspension is absolutely fantastic and the ride so comfortable. Now if I can just get the speedo/tach to stop fogging up, it'll be perfect. Thanks again for the video.
Great review! I have the 114 version of this bike, same color, and I love it. I like that it is both sporty and touring capable. I like riding the twisties with it and I do long distance touring. At 66 years young and 5'7" it just fits me. I travel solo and it is more than capable of traveling long distances comfortably. In nine months of ownership I have 12k miles on it.
@@jimanders9971I have a 2020 and a 2009 Heritage. The 2020 is a 100 lbs lighter than than the 2009 heritage, %30 more horsepower, and way better suspension. I wouldn't call it quaint, I'd call it extremely capable. The better brakes and cruise control are also nice.
I just purchased a 2022 Heritage Classic. Reef Blue two-tone blacked out with cast wheels. It is so comfortable. I'm only 5'2" and it fits me perfectly. I'm a brand new rider, just got my license last month and took the HD rider course. 1st day on the street and I rode over 100 miles. Can't wait to get out there and do my 1st road trip!
I had every intension to buy the blacked out 2021 114 Heritage but when I walked into the dealership and saw the 107 chromed out and in Teal I changed my mind with zero regrets. I did change the pipes and installed LED lights.
I bought a new 2019 Heritage Classic 114 and I absolutely love it. I traded in my 2000 Fat Boy and I was struck by the difference in handling. The new frame results in so much better handling, no comparison. The 114 motor is an absolute beast.
That’s exactly why I like the old school bikes. They’re timeless. They give off the quintessential feeling of the Harley roots. 30 years from now when you walk up to say a mid 2000 Heritage sitting next to a mid 2000’s Road Glide, you’ll look at the road glide and say look at all this old technology, like we look at old 8 tracks. Look at all this stuff I’m going to have to replace. On the Heritage it will be exactly how it was off the assembly line….timeless.
The tech on the Street Glides and Road Glides is already out of date. I mean who need a great big heavy fairing full of heavy speakers and a tv screen high up on the front of a bike messing up the handling when all the same and better functions can be had from a smart phone and blue tooth to your helmet. Music and navigation with out the weight. And if you use google maps for navigation on your phone you get real time live traffic and route information where the Harley Davidson navigation is based on old maps that only update via a download to a computer and USB the the HD 'infotainment' system. The suspension on the swinging arm Harley's is also out dated and gives a rough ride compared to the softtails. The shark nose and bat wing fairings do keep the wind off and they look good but they could be a third of the weight they are without all that obsolete tech.
My first (and only Harley so far) is an 2007 Heritage Softail Classic. I have said many times that it is the only thing I have bought in my lifetime that exceeded my expectations. I was 59 yrs old (3yrs ago) and I will probably never sell this bike. I love riding it, and I love looking at it in my man cave. Thanks for the review of the 2021. Keep doing what you do!
I fall in that same category, my first & only Harley, an 07 Heritage, fell in love with it immediately! Not ever selling it, I’m 48 years old, looking forward to many more years of riding! Great review
@@ekimandersom4478 I have a 2009 and a 2020 114. They don't ride similar at all. The 2009 is stage 3 and doesn't touch the stock 2020. Not to mention the 2020 has a nice digital readout of rpms, gear, AND cruise control. I like them both, but they are completely different rides. 100lbs difference in weight makes a difference.
I’m on my second one. First was an 07. Toured the country two up 17 days and over 7k miles. My second one is 2020 blacked out with 114. Riding solo now and still loving every mile. Considered many different models and even Indians, but went back to what is comfortable to me.
I have ‘18 heritage 114, added passenger floorboards , 14” apes, stage one with Reinhardt pipes, mustang seat with back rest, tour pack, and a reckless fairing, everything is quick connect, so I have a touring, cruiser, solo bike whenever I want. Change out is quick and easy, this is my fourth Harley and I’ve ridden this bike everywhere, and planning another big run in may. Love my Heritage !!!!!
I bought the 2020 Heritage about a year ago with the 114 motor in Vivid Black with the bike all blacked out and I love it. It looks great and it’s the most comfortable bike I’ve ever owned. Like you my only gripe is I had to drop a couple hundred bucks with Custom Dynamics to upgrade all the lighting to LED. Come on Harley. Great review and ride safe.
I'm 47, bought my first Harley this past Oct. it's a '21 Heritage Classic 114 and I absolutely love it. Lights, tuner, exhaust done and blacked out some of the chrome. The only way I would be happier is if I had a touring bike so the wife would be more comfortable.
Hi Andy. My wife rides with me the majority of the time. I purchased a thicker passenger seat, and she finds the ride to be much more comfortable. I also purchased a passenger back rest and tour pack that has a backrest attached to it. Both the passenger seat and tour pack are made by H.D.
@@kennyh3443 I'm interested in riding 2 up on a Heritage and I was wondering if you purchased just the rear seat for the passenger or a new seat for the rider and passenger? Thanks
Thanks for the review. I just traded my 18' Roadglide Ultra for a 22' Heritage. I had never given them a second thought until I decided to go back to a lighter bike. When I went to look at it, I changed my mind. Next week, a 2022 Heritage with a 114, Billiard Red & Black and blacked out will be delivered to my home. I'm very much looking forward to spring.
I have a 2018 107 Heritage Softail Classic in Vivid Black. I've done some modifications (stage II for more torque) to mine and added some accessories (tour pack, engine and saddlebag guards, passenger foot boards, LED lights all around, different style handgrips, coil cover, etc.). I love the bike! My wife rides with me the majority of the time, and she enjoys the ride. If you have a passenger, I'd suggest getting a thicker passenger seat. H.D. sells the same studded style seat but more thicker than the stock one. All in all, I think I made the right choice in choosing this bike over the other models. The ride is comfortable and maneuvers very well. I highly recommended it!
I have had several different Harley-Davidsons over the course of my life and in my opinion the latest version of the Heritage Classic is the best riding, most comfortable motorcycle that Harley has ever built. I like it so well that I just traded my 2017 Road King Special for a 2022 Heritage Softtail .
The newer Heritage models, being hard-bagged, 'blacked out' and 'de-studded' no longer look 'classic.'😢 I certainly wouldn’t trade my old 2010 Heritage for a new one! I'm 74 years old and set in my ways, so whippersnapper bikes are not my style.😂
I’m with you on staying with you staying with your older Heritage,I have an 03 Heritage Softail Classic.100 year edition and wouldn’t trade or sell this bike for NOTHING,safe riding buddy
@@kenc165 mine as well,no matter where I go or being at a red light, people are always complimenting me on the bike,I had a guy offer me 13 grand for it and I told him to go to the Harley dealer!
Love This Bike just bought my 1st Harley Davidson march 19th this year and this was the model my sales woman at the Harley dealership in Baltimore said I should take a look at. After the bike I went to look at didn't quite fit me, and I must say love this bike it's everything you say in your video a some after years on Kawasaki sport bikes & even the Mean Streak. This Harley is so well balanced, comfortable, and great for a big guy. The 107 is a very strong engine the 114 maybe stronger but this 107 is not lacking in the power department. With Rineheart exhaust on it this Heritage Classic sounds Thunder I couldn't be happier. Looking forward to many enjoyable miles with this motorcycle.
I'm 63 and I've liked them for the longest, the comfort I great and handling is great and you don't feel the weight. That's a nice ride. Great video thank you for sharing
G'day Hegshot. I'm 65 years young, 6'1, 235 lbs and even though I have never ridden the Heritage let alone ever owned a Harley in 50 years of riding, this will be my final bike as a retirement present to myself. To me, this along with the RK standard is the epitome of the American cruiser. Unfortunately the RK is a litle heavy for me due to my medical issues, (Aussie veteran) but the Heritage should be a great fit for myself. Still to test ride one but our Harley dealer in my town doesn't alway have demo's available. Great video brother, love the channel.
I returned from a 7-week tour of Portugal last summer on my Heritage, fancying a change and convinced I wanted to ‘upgrade’ to a RKS…but I sat on one and all that changed. The seating position wasn’t nearly as good and I decided to put the money it would’ve cost to swap out into improving things like adjustable suspension and a bigger front rotor. Mine already had black bars and when I wanted some less-reach levers, I switched to black (as I did with the mirrors when they came up on eBay at a good price). A black exhaust will change everything! 😎 I also enjoy riding it stripped back of the shield, bags & sissy…lime having a Softail Slim as well! I’m considering a (removable) batwing fairing for my next trip…that’s my third ‘Electra Glide’ look/function. It truly is the most functional Harley.
I have a '22 Heritage Classic 114 Midnight Crimson solid with chrome. I'm retired and ride solo/daytime trips only. The lighter weight of this model is what sold me. I've added front and rear crash bars, led lighting upgrades, and rear strobes, heel shifter, and touring pak. It's scheduled to go in for the 1k service in a couple days. No regrets.
Nice video. I have a 2018 107cc Heritage Softail Classic with a stage II upgrade, and I absolutely love it. I made quite a few modifications and upgrades to it. For an older person like myself with a service-related disability, the bike is so light and easy to maneuver. My wife rides with me the majority of the time, and she finds it to be a comfortable ride. I purchased a thicker cushioned passenger seat for her, and she loves it. With my wife on the back--adding to the weight of the bike--it rides like a Road King--touring model ride. All-in-all, I am completely satisfied with the bike and would highly recommend it.
Couldn't agree more. I was turned off based on the aesthetic until I rode it and am 100% bought in. Super stable, smooth, and powerful with exceptional comfort and ultimately a very nimble and light road feel. This will be my next bike.
I have the same in billiard teal with all the chrome Added the slip ons and a tuner for a stage one setup I know what a lot of people say but it made a huge difference I love this bike
Hegshot, I bought a 2018 FLHC new, and now have 14k miles on it. I rode it on demo day back then, and bought it a couple weeks later. Obviously, the ride, handling and comfort were and still are great. Not as much chrome as the newer models. I did the Custom Dynamics ProBeam signal and tail lights, and a sundowner seat and sissy bar for the wife. Stock air cleaner and exhaust, and one set of Dunlops. I took it to the York factory (240 miles one way) a few years ago. Rode like a touring bike. I just put a Saddlemen Explorer seat on it, although the stock rider seat was really nice. May you have as much enjoyment as I have been having with mine.
Great video. You hit it right on the head for sure. I've owned the road glide ultra, street glide, switchback, goldwing, and now on my second heritage classic..a 2019. I had to admit the same thing, its the most comfortable. I love the big road also, so I have a batwing fairing with the full sound system with Bluetooth and amp waiting to be paint matched. I finally felt like I got it right.
I own the 2018 114 Anniv. model ( 1st year of the new Softail ), blacked out ,30000miles on it . Best Harley I have ever owned . I was a Touring Bike rider ( Got tired of 900lbs ), I have ridden every State Alaska Included , Cdn Provinces & Yukon. Also I am an IBA Rider ,1000mile, 1500 mile 2000 mile and CC50 registered .No trailering all done from my driveway. Love the power of the 114 M8 , comfort of the Suspension ( Mono Shock) is vey Nice .Riding ergonomics is perfect for me ( 5"8"- 165 lbs ) .This bike is nice & light ( 728 lbs ). Great in corners .Cruise control for touring is a must for me . Front Riding lamps for " Be seen" , LED Lights , USB Plug is Handy all stock. ADD ONS :Front / Rear Crash Bars . , Bars Risers 1.5" higher & closer . Grip warmers cause I ride early spring and late Fall. Rear Pillion 14" wide Better support & memory Foam ( Ultimate seats ) very Nice for the Missus , stock seat is way too hard & narrow , Rear Tour Pak with 1 up Bracket ( For Me on long hauls ) and 2 up bracket for riding double .Best of both worlds ( Cruiser & Light touring ) . Side Bags Lockable and hard not soft like older models . Like all of my Harley great on Gas when touring at (70mph ) ( 245 miles/ Tank max ) . Now let's Ride & Stay Safe out there ...
I got a 2019 Harley Davidson Heritage 107 with the Screaming Eagle stage 3 kit with the all stars torque cam and D&D fat cat pipes and I'm getting 115 horsepower and 135 torque!! When I first bought my 2019 heritage it kind of felt it was like under power to me a little bit!! But then I went to a stage 2 torque kit and it really woke it up!! But then when I went to the stage 3 it really turned it turned into a beast!! Awesome video and you did a fantastic job thank you🏆👍
I love my heritage 2021 107. I got the stage 2 put on it and a saddleman seat. LOVE it even more. The torque with the stage two is just awesome. No passing issues with that cam. Like you said in your video it was a great bike you can GROW yourself into and make it YOURS. :) a Canadian Fan....Sam
I had the exact same impression when shopping for a bike. I never considered the Heritage but the salesman told me to try it. With my stature he thought I would really like the way it handled. Also, it was loaded with many extras like the cruise control. Once I rode it, I was sold. it does look like an old man's bike to some extent but it rides great. I did go with the blacked out version with the 114 so I liked that look better. Anyway, it really surprised me.
My friend and I have just done Route 66 (3,300 miles all in) over 12 days on two 21 Heritages. He had the black and chrome and I had blacked out. Can't make up my mind which I preferred. But we loved them. I came from Ireland with a hip issue and was concerned about that but the bike was perfect. Hate where the indicator signals are on the tank. Makes you look down to check. The other issue was getting neutral especially in heavy traffic across LA, it was really a nuisance. Also very clunky gear change. Still I've been seriously considering getting one. Both of us are. Enjoyed your review.
My wife has a 2020 blacked out Heritage and it is a great riding bike. I love taking it out for a spin. We added the Harley Bluetooth speaker, matching tour pack, and saddlebag crash guards. It is such a fun bike to ride.
At 67 and deteriorating fast I now have this exact bike down to the colors and I love it. I've had nothing but Harleys including 25 years of baggers since 1983 and tweaked every one of them to fit my needs and personal desires. This is the FIRST Harley I feel I have no reason to modify, I LOVE the "heritage" style combined with SOME modern technology without going overboard. You can keep all the radio and ride-mode crap, I don't need it. I DID chrome the fork sliders and put some sawtooth whitewalls on it to make it look even more "timeless" in my opinion, while at the same time it's the first bike I haven't touched the exhaust or intake on. It's the quietest bike I've ever owned! My fast riding days are over and I have the perfect (for ME) bike to ride off into the sunset on.
I my friend am on the same page as you. I have owned many bikes and have over 50 + years riding the Heritage was not on my radar. But while waiting to test ride a Street glide I took the Heritage out. I thought the same thing this bike is AMAZING. Comfortable beyond what I expected. I road a Street Glide right after. Yes the SG has everything and more but I opted for the Heritage I was so impressed. I had Goldwings, Chieftain and Electric Glide years ago I could go on about all my bikes over 48 of them this H-D is my new favorite bike and yes I still tour and the Heritage is more then capable
I hated it as well until I rode it. It was the biggest surprise of the day when I rode all the new HD bikes. I want one as a second bike in my garage. The one I rode was the blacked out version.
I rode my new 114 with a bunch of maniacs this weekend. I had no trouble keeping up with them. I just retired a 2006 sporty for the Heritage. I think it's more sporty than the old sporty. It seems more nimble and lighter for some reason. Definitely more comfortable.
I still have both my Sportster and my Heritage. Even though I’m faster in the turns with the Sportster, I’m much more confident and stable on the Heritage.
Loved your video. I knew how to ride but never owned a bike much less A HD! SO I bought a 2008 heritage Softail classic 20,000 miles. First time on a Harley? I drove it 3 hours to get it home. I'm now addicted and in love with this bike..
Im 60 yrs old and rode Kawasaki gpz 750 back in the day. Recently had sportster which was fun, but decided i needed a big boy bike. I bought used 2016 heritage classic w 103 motor. Its a heavy bike but when you get it going theres no feeling like it. Like riding on cloud . I am so glad i got it.😅
Thanks for the ride down memory lane. I cruised those roads many a time and visited that dealership many times, and when they were downtown Charleston. Since my wife passed, I haven't had a need to go back to her hometown. Came across this as I am looking into a blacked out Heritage to go with my Road Glide.
It is because of this video i decided to test ride (and purchase) a Heritage Softail Classic. I bought this bike a couple weeks ago and absolutely love it. I was going for the Road King or a Street Glide but so glad I gave the Heritage a try.
Ok, I got the same bike you tested. For the radio I bought a reckless dark night faring ( painted Midnight Crimson) with Rockford Fosgate PMA 2, and RF Amp., eagle lights led tail light, mustang seat, cause stock seat slop back kills my tailbone. Love the bike in the twisties. I like the new road glide but as a 65 yr old rider, the lighter weight is very welcome. Slower speeds and twisties, this bike has it all. If you are doing 80 on I-20, then not quite as stable, but anything below is A+. I try to stay off interstates at all cost anyway. With my faring and tall windshield, no buffeting or wind. I hate wind fatigue and stuff hitting my face. (Half helmet). Plus its all quick connect, so if you want bare bones, takes 5 min to remove, put windshield back on or nothing. As for power, nothing wrong with the 107....plenty there. More than enough for an older rider. If I do want more, a stage 1 and 2 upgrade will knock your socks off. All I know on handling is that it feels great. I ride with a bunch of veteran riders and when ever we do twisties im up their tail pipes. They are definitely not waiting on me in the turns....lol. As time goes on will probably change saddle bags out to hard shell painted. More just to continue making my bike a little unique.
I bought this same bike , same year but added a touring pack . What a beauty it is ! This bike is super comfortable and has get up and go . I love the chrome , color and style.
The Heritage, has been the best do it all Harley for many years. I had a 08, and It may been my 24th motorcycle, I've lost count. Anyway, owned many brands, the Heritage was a magic ride, the one I wanted to ride again and again..
I have a '97 Heritage. Love the bike, the versatility, strip it down for running around town (looks great) or add saddlebags, windshield, rack, and such for the long road.
Your pre-conceived opinion of this bike is what I imagine a lot of harley haters think. I can't even count how many comments are about how they have ridden an older Harley and judge every Harley bike on what they remember. People should give each brand a chance but also know that each model feels different also. I don't think you can get a bad motorcycle this day and age regardless of the brand.
I have a 2020 Heritage 114 and I love it. The radio issue was solved with a Sena 30K in my helmet and my phone. There is a USB charging port on the left side just below the tank to keep your phone powered for long trips. My only gripe with the bike is the windshield. It's at the perfectly wrong position for my height and I get my helmet buffeted quite a bit.
@@trippontwowheels 6 foot even. My nose is level with the top of the windscreen so the top of my head gets the air deflected off the top of the windscreen.
Love my 2001 . The chrome show !!! It IS a lot of cleaning. And she has NEVER been in the rain because of that chrome ,same with my Shovel Chop, I ride my Yam R1 in the bad weather . 2 things .. shock upgrade when they wear out , and gear drive replacement. Oh ya The Thunderheader !!
I’ve got a 92 with the EVO. Mine sounds better, but it doesn’t have much extra power. One thing I like about my Heritage is how much of the bike is forward of you. It’s just nice seeing so much of your baby while you’re riding. Feels like you’re driving steam locomotive.
I have among the first Heritage Softails which is a 1988 and I have 99000 + miles on and for many years I thought it was the most beautiful Harley ever made with a very nostalgic style. I still have her today. I currently ride a 2019 street glide special, and I love her too maybe even more a lot less raw than the evo...
I just bought a brand new 23 114 in blue with blacked out engine. I took it for a test ride and loved it so much I bought it that day. I was surprised how it handled in both the straights and twisties. I’m 5’7” and 165 and it was perfect for me! Add the tour pack and the batwing and you have a full touring ride
Had a 2018 Heritage Classic 114 and it is easily my favorite of all the bikes I have ever owned. Only negative was that it developed a sumping issue and the dealer kept saying nothing was wrong......so I traded for a 2019 Road Glide and almost immediately realized I made a mistake. I hated the Road Glide. Shoulda kept the Heritage and fixed the sumping myself. I noticed the sumping problem on a 2 week road trip from Northeast MO to Austin TX. Anyway, I am currently bikeless and giving some real thought to going out and snagging a 2023 Heritage as Harley addressed the sumping issues with a redesigned oil pump in 2020. 2017-2019 M8 oil pumps had a scavenge ratio of 60:40 with a 10 tooth sprocket and 2020 pump has a 50:50 scavenge ratio with an 8 tooth sprocket. Of course, there are high quality (billet aluminum vs stamped) aftermarket oil pump and cam chest options out there for highly reliable oiling that keeps it in your pan vs crankcase lol but they will void your warranty I think. Anyway, loved the Heritage, so fricking comfortable and rideable, nearly a perfect bike IMO.
I had a Street glide and loved yet. But I did get tired of the weight. The heritage classic 114 blacked out is my favourite Harley now. I've ridden one from Canada down to carmel-by-the-sea in California and back, taken it camping, ripped up and down forest service dirt roads. I think it's the best all-around cruiser Harley makes. If you think it's comfortable now, you should try it with a Mustang seat!
I have a 2002 heritage and I love my scoot the 88 twin cam is a great motor for me after I took it to a stage 1. and replaced the spring cam adjusters. I am 61 and I like the old school look. I also like the new Heritage lots of tech. with the old school look.
Riding my “old man” 1986 Evo Heritage softtail classic, very happily. Previously owned a 2007 Ultra Classic, hotrodded 110” . Rode that one across Canada and back. It was great, but I truly love this Heritage softtail more. It doesn’t handle as well, not nearly as fast, ride comfort isn’t in the same class, but it does what I want. Can’t wipe the smile off my face every time I ride. Love the stock 80” Evo, great sound, and I never used the radio on the Ultra anyway so I don’t miss it. Harley music, at a relaxed pace. I’ve been riding since 1971, and the nostalgia , with reliability of this bike is worth thousands more than its purchase price.
My 2001 Twin Cam 88 Heritage is still going strong. Stone reliable and capable of all day 75mph touring. I never wanted a radio and I don't need giant horsepower. Two things lacking are cornering clearance and a touchy rear brake. The lack of cornering clearance slows me down, which is good at age 71, and I don't ride iit in the rain. All good. My kids will fight over this one.
Hi Hegshot Rides, great assessment of the Harley Heritage. I have been riding since 1969. Bought my first new Heritage in 1995. My wife and I took it on many 3000+ mile vacations. Packed plenty of luggage in the saddlebags and luggage rack. Great Bike. It had a 5.2 gallon tank since it came as a FLSTN. I added the windshield passing lamps and large HD saddlebags. Don't really care about a radio. As of now I am riding a 09 screamin eagle ultra classic I purchased new. It is a great bike but since I am getting older I may go back to a Heritage because of the weight difference and the lower center of gravity. My one wish is that HD would upgrade the tank to 6 gallons like my dresser has. Much more peace of mind when crossing highways like 50 Nevada. Ride safe. CAHDBIKER Simi Valley Ca.
Picked up my bike yesterday and absolutely love it. Mines the 114 and has heap of get up and go. I'm not going to go crazy with it. I did put some Cobra slip ons on just to improve the sound. After I've run it in I will then think of what modifications I might make but as I have it now I could live with.
I like the video, very detailed. I have a 2020 Heritage Classic V107 in vivid black and I love it for the classic look. HD didn't offer the 114 in chrome and I wanted chrome. For 2023 you can get the 114 in chrome or black. I changed all rear lighting to LED & and turned both signals from amber to all red running/brake lights for higher visibility and when I signal it goes to amber.
I had the opportunity to test ride a 114 Heritage. It’s a really nice bike. Plenty of power and it’s really comfortable. My only problem is the old man aesthetics of the bike.
I am what you would call an Old Man .lol I am 64 Years old ,and I have been riding since 1975 . And I really like it . because there is no radio or a Faring And that's why I do like it . thank you for being honest about it . God Bless ,and ride safe . Digger
I just bought this bike and I love it! 2021 Green or whatever they call it. It's my first bike after my 250 Honda Rebel, it feels big to me and I'm still growing into it, but it's fantastic! great review!
Hey, Just wanted to say your video was great !!! I'm 69 and just bought a 2018 FLHCS 114 Anniversary Edition, my first ever H-D...I road the road king and it was good, but for me the heritage was it !!! Like you said, it's easier to "move around"...It's sooo much lighter also, that's why I chose the heritage...I'm 5'11'' and 250 and plan to put many miles on my rides (5/8k)...I'll try the stock seat out and see how I make out with it...Once again, great video !!!
Best all around bike to me, had a 2014 ultra Ltd but had to downsize to a 2021 heritage classic in deadwood green ,due to a foot problem ,first thing I did was put a set of V @ H Eliminators slip on mufflers. Stock ones sounded like a sewing machine. This is the 2nd Heritage I've had the first a 2008 ,the suspension and ride has greatly improved since then. This bike is ok for a 2 or 3 day trip but if you want to hit the road for a week or so you'll definitely feel more planted on a 900 lb. Bike, plus more storage. Overall I love my chromed out Heritage , I'm 71 so this will be the last bike for me.
Nice review. It seems to have this road king-ish kind of vibe to it. I've seen a lot of them around here but never really thought about them for some reason. Thanks for posting and take care.
🎉🧑🎤Harley Davidson Heritage one of the great old school rock n roll looking and very comfortable bikes forever. And this beautiful bike for any good way reason of ride. 2022 models have 114 chrome version which i love. One of my favourite with Road King and Road Glide. Greetings from Baku🇦🇿🌞.
👉 Brother, what you call, "old man bikes," are the "real" Harleys. These newer Harleys are sad excuses for Harleys in many ways. Harley has decided to satisfy your generation, who will buy any crap on two wheels, and has thrown tradition under the bus. As an example, they stopped production on the iconic Road King Standard and Classic last year......big mistake. If you like the Heritage ST, then you would love the ride of the solid iron Road King. Unfortunately, the Road King Special is a down graded sad excuse for a Road King, as we more seasoned riders well know. And halogen and no stereo or Bluetooth works just fine. It's about the ride, not the electronics. Thanks for the video and enjoy the ride......not the electronics.
Have the 2016 Heritage. Added the sound bar speaker. Added two into one pipes. Adding Hogworkz hardside saddle bags stretched with paint color to match the crushed ice pearl white.
Looking at getting my first street bike (Harley) and have been considering a Road King or Street Glide. Watching this video and checking out the Heritage has changed my mind. I have been watching your firearm review videos and they are great. This is a well done video! Thanks
I actually traded my 2017 Street Glide special for a 2022 Heritage Classic about 5 hrs ago. It's 200 pounds lighter with a 114 inch motor compared with my Street Glide 107. This rode soooo much better then the SG. I'm 145 lbs. and 69. It was so nimble around town and stable on the hwy. The power was better then the heavy SG. I don't do any long tours anymore. It is so comfortable. I have a 27" inseam and can actually flat foot on it. The wind shield stops a lot of wind. I always got a lot of wind from under the bat wing of the SG. I was shocked. My book shows the weight is 728 lbs. Running weight. I'm thinking this bike is the best kept secret of Harley.
Loved this video. I have the 2019 114 in black out. With the red and crimson color combo. After watching your TAB zombie video, I am getting those for it. It really is comfortable once ergo -ed in. Love my ride!
Great video, thanks! Shopping for a used one now and they are not easy to find with reasonable low milage. Ive seen a couple but waited to pull the trigger and lost out.
I bought an ex demo 114 Heritage special with castwheels in vivid black from West coast Harley Davidson in Glasgow. it had extras like heated grips V&H pies and air cleaner, a sissy bar and engine guards. 4.000 miles on it and an extend warranty thrown in because it had been a demo. Love it to bits all i need are some white wall tiers on the bitch to complete the old school look.
I'd been looking to trade my secondary bike ('17 Sporty Custom 1200C) for a used Heritage. I stopped by my dealership on Dec 30, to ask about a '19 Heritage. Classic that had just come in. The GM was a few bikes short of making his yearly quota, and let me have a new '23 Heritage Classic for less than the low-milage '19 Heritage. It was a deal that i couldn't walk away from. My Primary is a 2022 RGS, which I love,, but I'm loving the new 2023 Heritage Classic just as much. It's an absolutely fantastic bike!!! I love my blacked-out RGS, and I love my chromed-out Heritage Classic. I agree with everything you said in this review. Everyone NEEDS a Heritage (whether you go for chrome or black). It's a fantastic bike!!!!
Just bought a 24 Heritage in Alpine green. I already had a touring bike so i wasnt interested in the road glide. Extremely impressed with it. The 114 on such a small, light and nimble bike makes it fun as hell.
I just got a 80" 92 heritage softail classic as a barn find. It's a whole different bike than my old chopped shovelhead rigid.. I'm a smaller guy,so it feels pretty solid for riding,I not sure how it'll act on the road, but I'll be checking it out shortly. So far,the ride is excellent! It's a couch on wheels compared to my old rigid.. lol We'll see how it does on the open road! It's a down-size to what my 114" was,but I'll deal with it. Thats all for now, thanks for reading. 2 wheels down,n keep the greasy side down,ya'll.. Peace out.
As the owner of a 2020 Heritage Special(and a 2008).....you really should have rode one with a 114.But I love the fact that out of 200 billion bike reviewers on youtube....you actually tried a Heritage. This comment comes in after about 20 seconds of watching the video.
I have a 89 heritage softail only 7 thousand miles on it love the bike it's taken time to get used to all the bikes I had prior where small light bikes. But I have wanted a heritage since I was a Teenager 43 now and finally own one
I bought a blacked out 2023, not a fan of the studs, but it seemed like an upgrade to the street bob I was going to get. Few mods and I really love it!
I believe that 2022 was the only year in which the Heritage could be had with non-spoke'd wheels. This bike is a throw-back to an earlier era and thus comes equipped with high profile tires and small wheels, and (in my opinion) this setup only works with spokes in that the non-spoke'd wheels look like something that you would only expect to see in the military.
Let me know if there was ever a bike you hated until you rode it. Also, I'd love to have yall come subscribe to my other channel where I'm putting out my own music and streaming regularly. I have an awesome community there as well 👊
th-cam.com/channels/5ObmeWVmq9mPxl0upqNf7w.html
You have a great Wife!
Aesthetically everything you seem to hate about the bike is what I love about it. :)
Sporty? Lololol, how quaint.
@@nonyabiz1209 It might be sporty compared to other Harleys but compared other much more capable cruisers the 2020 heritage is a slug.
The new chassis it's a REVELATION.
@@therealrobertbirchall 💯 agree. If I want music I’ll wear my helmet with my edge. If I’m lost I look at my maps on my phone mounted to my bars.
I have a 2008 and i have yet to see why a newer one would be an upgrade.
Basically the same bike, just a bit more power and ABS .
@B B Same here.....done 5700 mile trip on it last year....great bike.
I forgot to mention: I also bought for my wife some H.D. half moon floor boards to replace the passenger pegs. My wife really loves them.
A good review! Of course, dif'rent strokes. Here in AZ, I picked up a used '07 Deluxe (
I have a 2018 107 Heritage Softail Classic in Vivid Black.
This is exactly my case. Totally agree
I hear ya.. 2016 model here. Like my leather saddle bags. I can fit a half helmet in there, can't do that in the new hard bags.
2010 heritage owner here
I’m with you on staying with you staying with your older Heritage,I have an 03 Heritage Softail Classic.100 year edition and wouldn’t trade or sell this bike for NOTHING,safe riding buddy
Yep 2010 Heritage still perfect get compliments on it all the time, love it!
Sorry.. I meant a 107 cubic inch!
Sorry... I meant a 107 cubic inch!
Couldn't agree more. I was turned off based on the aesthetic until I rode it and am 100% bought in. Super stable, smooth, and powerful with exceptional comfort and ultimately a very nimble and light road feel. This will be my next bike.
I have the same in billiard teal with all the chrome
Added the slip ons and a tuner for a stage one setup
I know what a lot of people say but it made a huge difference
I love this bike
I’m going from a street glide special to this.Always liked the heritage for its historic Harley looks and versatility.
Same here
Loved your video.
Love my 2013 more today than when I got her new🙏❤️🙏💯blessed to have her👍
I have a '97 Heritage.
All this guy rides are Harley’s and a few Indians. Who’s prejudice here?
I have a 2020 Heritage 114 and I love it. The radio issue was solved with a Sena 30K in my helmet and my phone. There is a USB charging port on the left side just below the tank to keep your phone powered for long trips. My only gripe with the bike is the windshield. It's at the perfectly wrong position for my height and I get my helmet buffeted quite a bit.
How tall are you?
@@trippontwowheels 6 foot even. My nose is level with the top of the windscreen so the top of my head gets the air deflected off the top of the windscreen.
I ride a 2015 Heritage Classic and agree with your comments. It’s like sitting in my fav TV chair with 1700 ccs growling beneath you. Rock on
Great analogy 👊🏻
I’ve got a 03 Heritage Softtail Classic, and what a bike, can’t wait to do some traveling!!
I always love the look of the Heritage, finally was able to purchase a new 2022 model with chrome
I agree with you on the lights! I changed out all of my halogen lights to Custom Dymanics led lights. I think H.D. should go with ALL LED lights.
When I think of Harley Davidson this is exactly what I want. That being said I am 58 years old. I would love to park it next to my 2019 Roadmaster !
Man you just changed my mind about this bike. Beautiful and that chrome will get me home. Thanks for the video brother. Take care
Lol I appreciate it man 👊🏻
Hi Hegshot Rides, great assessment of the Harley Heritage.
Harley's do it all cruiser, got to love this cruiser 😎
Yeah man no problem
🎉🧑🎤Harley Davidson Heritage one of the great old school rock n roll looking and very comfortable bikes forever. And this beautiful bike for any good way reason of ride. 2022 models have 114 chrome version which i love. One of my favourite with Road King and Road Glide. Greetings from Baku🇦🇿🌞.
This is the ultimate cruising motorcycle that Harley makes Marlon I agree top notch
I have wanted this motorcycle for Years!! I am now 80 years old. Just thinking that I ought somehow purchase one. 🤔
I love mine it does everything great. I've had almost every modern Harley made and my 2018 Anniversary 114 is my all time favorite.
I got a 07 heratige softail classic about 4 months ago its my first harley. I take it down interstate on trips and back and forth to work I love it.
Heritage will be my next. That thing is ridiculous gorgeous and Cruise Control??? 😜💯🇺🇸
Just bought a 24 Heritage in Alpine green. I already had a touring bike so i wasnt interested in the road glide. Extremely impressed with it. The 114 on such a small, light and nimble bike makes it fun as hell.
Riding an 03 heritage softail. Very comfortable all around. Just clicked a little over 57,000 miles.
It's a couch on wheels compared to my old rigid.. lol
We'll see how it does on the open road! It's a down-size to what my 114" was,but I'll deal with it. Thats all for now, thanks for reading. 2 wheels down,n keep the greasy side down,ya'll.. Peace out.
I have a 2018 Heritage Classic Special which is black out. And it is a 107ci and I love this bike. Will keep it till I can't ride anymore
I got the blacked out 114 its rad super happy with it no complaints about it.
I bought a blacked out 2023, not a fan of the studs, but it seemed like an upgrade to the street bob I was going to get.
Few mods and I really love it!
I own the 2021 heritage softail, and it rides like a dream, great bike
I believe that 2022 was the only year in which the Heritage could be had with non-spoke'd wheels. This bike is a throw-back to an earlier era and thus comes equipped with high profile tires and small wheels, and (in my opinion) this setup only works with spokes in that the non-spoke'd wheels look like something that you would only expect to see in the military.
I saw one in a parking lot with a 114 engine. I loved the looks.
