Caution- he never jammed the lock nut tightly against the bracket and just snugged it up. This will allow the threaded joint to wear over a period of time. Make sure to compress the spring short enough to access the lock nut with a wrench and tighten it properly.
Good eye! In this segment I'm using a demo unit that is used over and over so I do not use full torque.
when your short as I em , we learn to make adjustments, I would say I dont go around corners fast so I dont worry to much about the lean. I'm going to take it one step farther Im putting air shocks on my bike, its very important to be flat footed when all possible. I mean I'll only lower it when Im trying to park or something when I have to be flat footed. I have slipt also cuz I wasnt flat footed. I'm also looking into reduced reach forward controls cuz I dont like mids on my 2021 lower S. please feel like to comment
Do you have a specific question?
The Kodlin lowering kit lowers your Lowrider S by 1.25" - 1.5". We don't offer any air ride systems or reduced reach forward controls.
How are you supposed to tighten the jamb nut??? With the part on, it covers the jamb nut completely.
When you compress the spring, it will enable you to reach the jam nut at an angle. That's enough to snug the nut up firmly and that's all that's needed.

I have done all the necessary things to try to at least closer to flat foot my M8 2021 street bob. Bigger boot heel heights, modifying the seat by basically scooping all of the foam out but didn’t help. Adjusted the shock to the lowest setting. It’s just the soft tail frame. The frame super wide so I’m tippy toeing on both sides even with all that. I’m 5’3 and Have already dropped it trying to walk the bike into the garage cause I slipped.
Did you have to adjust the belt and or have to modify the kickstand? Or anything else needs to be adjusted.
You should always check your belt tension and make adjustments if needed after making suspension height changes. The last bike I installed our kit on did not require adjustment. After lowering your bike with our kit, the bike will stand taller on the kickstand, it shouldn't be an issue. That being said always pay attention when getting off bike when parking on uneven surface to make sure you're not on a spot that stands your bike too tall causing an issue.

But i have a question i didnt get it, why did you have to take that washer off?
The idea is to shorten the distance between the shock mounts. We remove the required hardware including the washer then install our shock end to replace all removed components. All of this shortens the overall length of the shock thereby lowering the bike.
Does this reduce travel in the shock? And how much does it lower the bike?
You will not be modifying the shock rod or it's stroke. Only reducing the length between the shock ends. It lowers bike up to 1.5".
Do you have a video showing a lift spacer installation for the M8 street bob?
No, we do not have a video of that model. To install the lift kit/shock extension follow the video in this link-th-cam.com/video/sYsgsXuquts/w-d-xo.html. The difference is you won't be removing any other OEM parts from the shock other than the OEM shock rod end. Once you have the OEM rod end removed simply replace with our extended rod end. Snug up the jam nut and de-compress shock and remove the tool. I really hope this isn't a dumb question: will the lowering kit work with aftermarket suspension, like the Legends Revo-A Mono?
Simple answer is No! Our product is designed and tested for use on the stock M8 shocks. The kits have not been tested on other shocks for fitment or use and do not recommend it.
Would this lowering kit work for the 2022 lowrider S I would assume so but I could be wrong thanks in advance
Yes, our part #K66024 would be the same as used in this video since bike has a remote pre-load adjuster. Is this the kit with or with out the pre load adjustment knob? What is the difference if buying with or without?
In this video the bike has a remote pre-load adjuster mounted under the seat that adjust with a tool or 5/16' socket. Those with a keen eye may notice the shock I'm working on at the bench is still a remote pre-load adjuster style shock but it has a knob you can turn by hand. The shock is the same, the remote pre-load adjuster is different. The important thing is they both use K66024. The 3rd style of shock has a silver ring with square holes in it. It fits around bottom end of the shock and it takes a shock spanner wrench to rotate the silver ring to adjust pre-load. This shock style has a different pre-load setup that is all mounted on the shock. That shock is covered in another video. It takes K66025.
Mate just wondering if you can give me a little advice? I have a 2020 low rider s and ive accidentally ordered the k66025 instead of the 66024 was just wondering if you can still make the k66025 fit or should i send it back and exchange them? I only ask because I live in a part of Australia where postage can take a while.
They are machined to different specifications so I would recommend sending them back for correct part.
Hello Jason. Thanks for checking with us. You can not make K66025 work with your Lowrider S. You need to return it and get the right part, K66024, from wherever you bought the product from. Our distributor in Australia is Rollies Speed Shop.

No! The tool cost is separate.
Will this work for a 2020 Harley SPORT Glide?
Yes, the procedure on how to install lowering kit on the shock is the same. Subtle differences on how to remove the shock from the bike because this bike has remote pre-load adjuster under seat and your bike has it under right side cover.
Will this work on the low rider ST?
Yes, K66024 will fit the FXLRST - Low Rider ST.
Does the belt need to be adjusted after?
You should check to see if your belt needs to be adjusted any time you make suspension height changes.
It’s it the same hardware for 2021 softail heritage
Yes the shock on the FLHCS would be the same style as on this bike. The video of the shock on the bench was actually one with the pre-load adjuster knob and uses the same Kodlin K66024 part as the FLHCS.

Did you back off the lock nut? Do not force it or you may gall the threads and lock it in place. I run the locknut all the way back. I use a wrench on the locknut then install a 3/8" extension through shock end leaving the bushing installed to protect bearings. The shock end will usually just snap loose and come off very easily. If not try using some heat on the shock end and use a thread lubricant like WD-40. Work the shock end back and forth to work lubrication into the threads and carefully work it off. You may need to do this a few times along the way. There is really no reason for it to be hard to get off unless it was installed with too much thread locker or installed with damaged threads previously.
@@kodlinusa6155 I did but eventually I made a little tool to block the counter nut and heated the head a little and managed to remove it.
Just FYI it's a brand new Lowrider ST. I did the recall job on it at the same time (shock adjuster's bolt replacement).
low rider s is a performance HD bike n why would anyone lower the bike that will mess up with lean angle and such?
right? I already scrape pegs way before i would lose traction, this would make the bike miserable to ride
For someone like myself that is 5’4 with a 28 inch inseam sometimes lowering is the only way. I’m coming from a 2016 night rod which has a reduced seat option and although it worked was still not completely flat foot.

@@cody9371 true DAT...plenty threads n some friends who lowered the bike always regret post to lowering the bike. As Ryan's statement, it also makes sense to be flat footed when riding.
