- Arcane has so many layers to it. In this video we analyze the parallel between Jinx and Janna. As Janna doesn't mak an apperance but seems to use Jinx to do her work.

Jinx is the blue bird of Janna. The chant from “ashes and blood” is shuriman and it talks about the blue bird of Janna.
"Beyond these walls, the storms fury grows. Over land and sea, the storms fury grows. But I have nothing to fear, for the blue bird is with me..."
It deserves noting that Janna is a dualistic deity. She embodies both the benevolence of the tailwind, and the fury of a storm. She’s Zaun’s patron goddess, and associated with clean air to them.
But to be someone chosen by Janna, you need to embody both aspects. The gentle wind, and the unrelenting gale.
Now who’s in this show that’s constantly stuck between two poles? Oh and also heavily associated with the color blue?

Jinx escaping from the air ducts is a strong hint aswell, it's like she is one with the wind.
And where does she escape from in the last scene? An air vent!

That's why she was so easily latched onto by zaun as a revolutionary figure. Blue hair is a spiritual meaning. Nice.

That's the prayer the backing vocals are chanting in "To ashes and blood" while the Cait and Vi vs Sevika and Jinx is happening. Janna is referenced as a blue bird, but that also fits Jinx so well with her association to blue and prevalent bird motif.
The feature of the ancient Shuriman prayer to Janna makes so much sense now! In ashes and blood, I think, from that very same fight between the vessel and the opposition
Yup, the fight in EP03 has Shuriman chanting in it.
At the very end, when we see the Zeppelin flying away, we also see a cloud in the shape of a bird. This is one of the many things that hint to Jinx surviving, since she is Janna's "blue bird".
I’ve been saying this the day one of the complaining on twitter… if you don’t get what’s going on in a scene or why it’s important (for instance people asking why Ekko needed an entire ep or why Cait didn’t immediately kill Jinx in ep 6/8) they likely have poor media literacy; which for Arcane, a show where the better your ability it pick up detail quickly the more enjoyable the show, means you won’t have a great time (at least to the same level of everyone else discussing it/raving about it).
THANK YOU! I keep seeing comments and how Christian was attacked even though he said before that he's scared of people's reaction and I am confused, like have we watched the same thing? Rushed, not enough time for characters, and whatnot? And then it clicked once I've read the comments about who wanted which character to hook up with which other character and extended s*x scene just for the sake of it, and how the series sucked because they didn't want this ending for [insert character name here]. And then I realized that it's not me who is too forgiving with the series but rather it's others who instead of enjoying, internalizing, and analyzing the media, choose to only look at [hot character] and characters banging and everything being spelled out instead of insinuated. I am very sad to see this much, if not hate, at least still anger, towards a series that is the best that I have seen in a damn long time and at least one of the best (if not the best) I have ever seen.

Ok I am surprised that you only have around 10k subs man. This is some very good content. I knew Arcane was a masterpiece but damn... the level of storytelling they do with everything at their disposal is honestly extremely impressive.
I defiantly love this theory. The idea of Janna being in the background and protecting Jinx is a great set up for her becoming a symbol for the people of Zaun.
I can't wait for the writers to drop this plotline and do nothing with it.

That's pretty brilliant, I've always wondered on the intention and direction on why the creators did what they did.
Who would have thought to make Jinx's hideout to be that of a propeller or equivalent of a hot air balloon type based on the rails and the smoke clouds tatoos on her arms, I always thought it was in reference to the smoke beacon she pulls to attract and call out Vi,. but it went into very deeper layers interwoven to many parts of the show as a constant reminder to the viewer, the show is just brilliant.
I noticed some simar things with reference to her animal weapons, like mouser, chomper, fishbones, Rhino etc. They are all represented by animals and as Powder matures so does the animals going from weak or herbivore or useless like a bunny and monkey, to animals with more teeth or predatory and dangerous like a shark. Powder uses the bunny fingers symbol as a callout that her mom used, she used it during the ekko bridgefight, and alt talk with Benzo. The monkey is a recurring theme throughout as found in Ekko's Z-Drive, the bomb Powder used with Hex gem, and even in the noise clapping cave. It's subtle but the clapping of the cave to illuminate the cave is that of a monkey and the cybals. The direction to light up the cave could have been as easy as turning on a light switch, but the directors instead to choose clapping or sound to illuminate the cave instead. It seems like every intention and direction by the designers is meticulousy chose on a conscious and subconscious level that we allow it to function.
I recall this type of symbolic imagery is also present in films like Jurassic Park and Terminator. I recommend you watch Mike Hill's lectures on the Power of metaphor and Speliberg's Subtext if you are more interested on this type of subject, it's on TH-cam.

I know i have said this before on others videos, but i cant understand why you dont have tens of thousand subs. Especially on your arcane content. Truly fantastic. This Janna topic was not on my radar at all! But of course a show like arcane which covers every aspect of life and death would also have a spiritual aspect woven in to the world, besides just mentioning that some people worship a deity.

I’ve been saying this to several questions or complaints. Half the viewers treated the show like S1 GoT while the others were so caught up in their favs it was like S8 GoT with them. Their favorites had sex, character “x” lived, ect. Screw everything else.

That's why this series need more than one watch
I've had people watch it but they don't pay as much attention to it. There's a lot of "blink and you can miss it" moments, but there's also the aspect of seeing the characters thinking, facial expressions, subtle body language and they don't get as respected simply for being animated and not live actors -is what it seems like to me for some people.

My understanding is they used the gray as a cover, not to gas the undercity. Why would Vi agree to that?
In the first season, Vi's pursuit of revenge against Silco resulted in Jayce murdering a child. He couldn't handle it, but Vi didn't seem to care that her fight would kill Zaunites. She's always been one of those people who believe the ends justify the means.
Vi literally says "we used it as a cover so we could clear the streets and not hurt people" So yes, they used it as a cover.
Finally, a video and a content creator with actual media literacy, who digs deeper into this show, portraying it as it is, not as the mainstream THINKS it is. Incredible video, especially the part about the Maddie smoke bomb in S02E01.

@@tolyvlah69 I never got this video as him merging two champions into one. Simply that Jinx embodied the values and influence that Janna already had to the people of Zaun. Which is why they so easily latched onto her ideals. Even if Jinx didn't intend. Hell, as much as Jinx made fun of the stories vander used to tell them, I think they influenced her in a positive way, maybe without her knowing.
