Why are the loudest calls for Khalistan from the Sikh diaspora? As the
Amritpal Singh saga rages, Editor-in-Chief Shekhar Gupta talks about self-styled ‘Khalistan president’ Jagjit Singh Chauhan to unfurl an intriguing chapter of the Khalistan movement, and also reasons why it failed. Ep. 1196 of Cut The Clutter.

Sikhs and Hindus have coexisted for hundreds of years together, we are literally the same people, We Hindus used to raise the first born Son of our households as a Sikh, the Sardar of the house who will protect and lead the house in the future. The shared history and shared culture is unlike any other two communities, the enormity of things that are common between us outweighs everything else, it is sad that some people would like to focus on what's different than what's common.

Conceptually, I Never understood Why Khalistanis always exclude 3/4th of Punjab which is in Pak, from which Sikhs were Ethnically cleansed, This movement is the result of Ham headed politics by the Congress trying to interfere when ever Akali Dal came to Power in Punjab, propping up Bhindranwale as a counter measure, only for Him to become a bigger problem, waking up too late and Attacking Darbar Sahib, Party workers unleashing terror on Patriotic SIkhs after Indira Gandhi was assasinated, this is the reason for Khalistan.

After spending about a decade travelling to multiple countries and continents and meeting the Indian diaspora who have moved out from India in different times, I have made a realization that in the their heads, the time has stopped in India in the year they had left. Since their interaction with the situation on the ground in the country is very limited they still feel that India is still stuk in the 80s or the 90s. They teach or explain India in the same fashion to their next generation and which reinforces their vision since the next generation is even further away...
Maybe thats at the root cause of K word still being around in the Indian Diaspora outside India only. They moved out around operation bluse star OR the militancy period in unjab and they are stuck in that time forever

@@pardeeptandon I would say that if people were prosecuted illegally, they should have continue fighting the case while being out of Indian jurisdiction, since they never showed up they don’t really get to say or prove that it was illegal in the court of law.
Also as far as my knowledge goes, militancy was at its peak in Punjab (Indian) during the Khalistan movement and about 50k people died while Punjab in pakistan was peaceful. This clearly indicates that the movement was sponsored by pakistan so it comes under the umbrella of NSA, POSCO and all the other laws that existed to counter terrorism.
These laws are pretty sharp and prosecution under those laws don’t have an option to be called illegal in anway (Thats my understanding)

Being a Jat I know the ego problem we have in our tribe which transcends religious identity be it Mulla jatt, Sikh jatt or vedic Jat. We just want to be in power everywhere. At broders mostly members of this tribe are fighting with themselves. But in modern times we need to get educated and skilled so that we can compete with others. Otherwise inferiority complex will result in creating anger further. And Brahman in Hinduism and Jatt in Sikhism are threat to basic concept to these religions. Jats have occupied a whole religion . The sikh surnames "Singh" and "Kaur" itself came from ancient Rajput surnames/adjectives for males and females "Sinh" and "Kunwar". All sikh Gurus were Kshatriya (called Khatri in punjabi) and called Rajputs in Hindi. It was only later that Jatt peasantry of Punjab and nearby regions became Sikhs and a revisionist ideology was born. Till late 18th century the sikh gurdwara used to be called "dharmshal", and all Gurdwara used to have dharmic signs and deities. Then during British times, further revision happens within sikhi by those Sikhs who got influenced by British and Christian Church, those Sikhs who mostly fought WW1 & WW2 in Europe, or served British empire in india.

I believe, lots of grassroots work needs to be done silently for a long time about the missionaries problem .. while a lot of judicial & extrajudicial, as well as lawmaking & enforcement work needs to be done on the Islamist front (& yeah, keeping up on direct, even confrontational streetpower against them)

Wait till they hear about kaveri water dispute, indus water treaty etc. They think state should go bankrupt in order to ensure MSP to rich farmers, if not then state is backstabbing them. This movement is low IQ movement, would die under it's own hubris.

I wonder why nobody is talking about how Sikhism itself is the problem.
It has outlived its utility for us Hindus and Bharat. It started as a Vaishnavite Bhakti panth, later had Shakti influences and even had a wonderful empire under Ranjit Singh. But it became totally unhinged during the Singh Sabha movement more than 100 years ago. It is time Hindus woke up and started dismantling the SGPC actively.

Now I see why Khalistan movement has very few takers almost zilch in the indigenous sikh community residing in India. The West along with its Pakistani stooge have been trying to dismantle India since time immemorial. I read somewhere that the idea of partition was flouted by the US and they warned the British to not leave India in a single piece since it needed a buffer b/w Afghanistan and India (which it saw as a left leaning country hence a natural ally of the Soviet bloc ). Afghanistan was seen as an important underbelly of USSR ie Central Asian countries,The great game. Fast forward 75 years and they are still using such (underhand) methods just to induce discipline against a recalcitrant India for its stance in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, purchase of cheap crude, ability to act as an intermediary b/w the two conflicting sides etc. They can't confront overtly as it might isolate India and bring it closer to the Russia-China axis which would be catastrophic for the Indo-Pacific strategy of the West as we know of it so you'll continue to see such trends in the near future as India tries to navigate its way through another great game.
