  • I had an issue with my recent order of Easy Subli, so I tried pressing a sublimation transfer onto it. I can't take the stress of pressing the subli first, then trying to line it all up. This video shows you the stress free way to do it onto parchemnt paper first.

    A HUMUNGOUS big thank you for this, I have been pulling my hair out trying to print on EasySubli with sublimation paper - Everyone shows you a quick preview of what to do, dont exactly explain times etc and I have had so many blurred images/weak colours or burnt colours and its cost me so much. I tried your hack as a last ditch attempt before i gave up and it worked first time and perfectly. I cant thank you enough xx

    I just had an idea to get my designs out of DS. When you hit print choose to print to PDF save to computer. Then use a converter program convert PDF to PNG or SVG. I have been trying to get my designs out of DS and into silhouette studios. Silhouette Studio is so much more advanced than DS and silhouette studio business edition you can save files as SVG to your computer and import in into design space and cut with cricut also thank you for this tutorial as well as I'm going to be doing my first easysubli project Much love ❤️

    • @stacyodesigns
      @stacyodesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very good methond u help me a lot thanks. But when I've done sublimating and put sublimation paper away there was cardboard on the edges of the easy subli. I don't know how to fix this i tried some methods like don't put so much pressure on the press but still not working. Do you have any idea how to prevent this? I would appreciate any advice. Easy but if the image has white on it like a lot it leaves tiny roller marks because the ink is not gel ink like the sawgrass ink siser it meant to be use with sawgrass not epson so I will use this method if My image has white thank you for this video

    Now i wonder if i can do this but slap the print then cut image on the easy subli and heat it up and then cut out the easy subli with the siser Juliet or Cricut machine.. the pizza wheels drive me crazy, no matter what setting

    • @stacyodesigns
      @stacyodesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      The problem with this, is once you pull the subli away from the plastic sheet, it is no longer sticky. hmmm, maybe if you put it on a sticky htv carrier sheet?
      If you are getting pizza wheels, there is a great group on FB called Beginning Sublimation with epson printers. They have a detailed protocol how to get rid of them. Last I read it, do 3 head cleanings in a row (no nozzle check between). Then do a nozzle check. If still wonky, run a print purge page. Nozzle check.

    What did you mirror only the shape of image? I'm totally mind blown over here!!

    • @stacyodesigns

      Hi! I'd be happy to explain.
      I cut the subli (un-mirrored)
      printed the design (mirrored)
      Pressed in between parchment
      cooled. peeled. applied and pressed.
      Yup! that easy.
      Don't let the amount of steps intimidate you - its worth it in the end.

    Hi,
    I would love to try this method but how would I do this with designs that letters or something are not connected. Would I have to peel each letter off and then put on the parchment paper? I would probably never be able to line everything up nicely if that was the case or is there a way to use the mask and this method. I am soooo at a loss right now. Sublimating direct on easysubli gives such a grainy look and not vivid. When I print on sublimation paper and try to line up, it takes me forever and then when I think it's lined up good, I press it and then ruin my shirt because I was off somwhere and have to start everything all over again

    • @stacyodesigns
      @stacyodesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      I feel you frustration. Sadly, this 2 step method is not really made to be used on a 'piece-y' design. However,....do you know about Siser DTV (Direct to Vinyl)? I recently started using it and LOOOOVE it. It just inkjet printable iron on vinyl, but its so thin and prints amazing. th-cam.com/video/E_tM5lCYZvU/w-d-xo.html

    • @stacyodesigns

      There is a certain sweet spot to peel it off. You want the subli cool. Not hot, not cold, but somewhere in the middle. If its seeping out immediately, try less pressure.

      Technically, the subli has a bit of stretch -but I would not reccomend letting it stretch. If it's difficult to peel, try flipping it over and peeling the carrier sheet away while holding the subli down.

    • @stacyodesigns

      I do this because Design Space isn't friendly. I have tried to print from Photoshop and cut the subli in DS, and its always off just a little. So, for intricate designs, I do it this way. If I need a big, and solid, cut, I do print through PS and cut in DS.

      No, do not mirror the subli when you cut it (or print ON it). Mirror the sublimation print, yes. The rough side, which is facing upward when you cut, is the side you sublimate onto. When you peel it off the backing, place it directly onto the garment, smooth side down.

      Oh No! :( You do not need a lot of pressure with this. (or sublimation in general) If you are getting uneven pressure, you may have cold pots on your press. Check your temps with a temperature gun.
