I have an Epson 7720 and it seems no matter what settings I use the easysubli keeps getting paper jammed the size of paper I’m using is 8.4 by 11. Any suggestions?
Where do you get your masking from?
Hey there! The masking is sold at any place that carries the EasySubli and also at most pattern vinyl distributers, although the masking for pattern HTV is slightly different than the masking for EasySubli. Hope this helps! ---Becky

This video literally saved my nerves and sanity. I kept looking at other tutorials looking for a way to quickly and more efficiently clear out all of the unwanted tiny cuts. None of them mentioned using the offset option. And I absolutely LOVE the tip of moving my image out and back. Other tutorials strongly recommend never moving the image. Thank you so much!!

I have always used a cricut and i love the machine but the print and cut is to limited. I did learn your work around and loved it. Yesterday i got a Cameo 4 thinking this would be easier. Everything works great except for cutting through everything! I have an autoblade & when i set to force 33 it cuts all the way through. What should i set at to prevent that?

Great video. Best one on TH-cam for EasySubli. Attempted my first EasySubli project. Without these instructions it would have been more difficult. I only wish Siser would improve their mask!! Your video's are always very informative and easy to follow.

Is this like HTV? Will it peel like HTV?
Hey Chris Tina! This is a type of HTV. Your HTV shouldn't peel if you have applied it with the correct heat and pressure. Usually peeling HTV is representative of not enough pressure during pressing. Hope this helps! ---Becky
experimented. my cutting is WAY off. It reads registration marks way off to the side. the cut not only cut around the design, but then cut the offset again below the design. I'm not sure what to try next. fortunately I did NOT use the easy subli. I just printed onto paper for the experiment. these are the steps I took:
traced the design to achieve a filled in design
moved the design off to the left.
did an offset on the 'trace' of .07 - then applied
moved the design back over the new 'trace' didn't move it all the way so I did a group then center'. then grouped both the offset and the design.
went to page setup - used cutting mat of 12 x 12
media size custom . 7 x 7
show print border and cut border
added registration marks
centered the design within the corners
no 'print bleed'
printed design on letter size paper
put on a 12 x 12 mat
hit 'send'
it finally cut it properly (on paper). but why was the registration so far off the first couple of times. I'm almost afraid to try using the easy subli. lol
Do I dare take this same image - print in on the easy subli - and try to cut it? or do I need to do another 'test cut'?
the first couple of times it wouldn't let me de-select the cut border. the only thing I can think of is the design was too large or the paper I designated was too small? I enlarged the paper to a bit larger than 7. (made it 7.125)
At least I'm not using that obnoxious auto blade. lol (thank you for that info - it really helped). I now only use the ratchet blade. you show the blade as being a ratchet blade. my software doesn't show that. just shows 1mm blade. Silhouette business edition 4.4.937.
Sometimes when the registration is off it is because there is too much light in the area. I recommend trying again with less light.
I have another brain teaser for you. I have an Epson 7720 that I use for sublimation. I also have easy subli. here is the question: I have a partial sheet of easy subli that I'd like to use. but it doesn't match any of the standard paper sizes in my Epson print area. I hate to waste the subli paper - but it seems as if I'd need to cut my subli paper to match the media sizes afforded to me. my paper piece is a tad over 8" wide, by 5.25. am I stuck just cutting my paper to a size recognized by my printer? there is an area (it's notched) that is longer than the 5.25 by about 3". your thoughts? just not sure how to feed this into my printer. my experiments were printed on standard letter size, so there wasn't an issue.
Hello! You could always sublimate your design onto the easy subli and then "messy cut" around the design!
Where can I get the Rachel blade? My reg blade didn’t cut all the areas and smeared my ink( I warmed it up at 310 for 60sec) even though I did a 2x cut. Thanks for the video.

when it comes to the mask for lifting the design - does it really matter what you use? they claim (Siser) that you have to use theirs because of the material content. I have the easy subli - but doubt I have the masking stuff although I'd pretty sure I have other stuff that came with HTV printed material.
Other masking may not be strong enough which is why they recommend the siser masking.
Hi great video. I was wondering can you layer other HTV's over easy subli? I want to use it as a "fill" and then have another HTV as a border. I hope that makes sense.
Great question! I don't think I would layer over the EasySubli, it will reactivate the ink when you press again. I would subtract out the design so that it fits together like a puzzle, then press the EasySubli last. Hope this helps! ---Becky

Ok so I’ve followed the instructions step by step, my registration marks are getting completely cut off when I print the image only the one corner mark in there to the right but it totally misses the square and the left corner.

I struggle with the siser easysubli mask when I have words the letters seem to pull up then when I flip it over to apply to a shirt they fall off the mask…ugh. Any suggestions

You print direct on Easy Subli? You don't need to print on sublimation paper and do heat press on Easy Subli and than cut etc.?

I'm using a Mac - what is the shortcut for duplicate to the left? I tried command ← and it only moved my whole mat to the left.
I am not sure there is one. It seems you just need to use right click and duplicate
But wouldn’t you still be able to use the remaining subli even if you didn’t change those settings?
Hi great videos thanks but why when i try to do print and cut my Cameo does not see the reg marks? I have tried putting the eye over the black square and hit send then it does not look for the other reg marks just starts cutting inside my artwork?

I'm using Magic Mask in High Tack (recommended for pattern HTV) but if you are going to source some to buy, I would probably go with the transfer that is made for the EasySubli, it should all be about the same price. Just if you happen to have Magic Mask already available, it may save you a separate purchase. Hope this helps! ---Becky

Have you used the forever subli-light? It seems like it would be easier than cutting the image out. Just would like to see you demo it lol. Love the info you give in your videos.

You can't do gradients or super detail with the Forever Subli-Light, also there is no way to get the white background. It is great if you just want to put a sublimation design directly on a light colored cotton garment. I feel the 2 products have very different uses.

Hi Becky! I tried to follow this procedure step by step. I wasted 2 sheets of Easy Subli 😭😢🤔 The first time my printer only printed about 4 inches of my design. The second time, my Silhouette cut it completely wrong. I had to move the blade to the block manually…it would not read it at all. Obviously, it still didn’t read it right because it cut it horribly wrong. Then I printed onto A-Sub but my cutter didn’t cut it at all. It sure acted like it was cutting….but it didn’t. I was using the auto blade set on 3 and 33. When it went over the entire design with the auto blade, it went back over it with the blade 2 holder going up and down. Your design and shirt are awesome! Any suggestions on what I’m doing wrong? Thank you!
I would double check your blade is locked in all the way, then I would make sure your blade is clean. If those suggestions still don't help I recommend recalibrating or looking if your software needs to be updated.
I used my heat press and the ink still smeared so much!! I couldn’t work with it it was difficult for me 😤😩 I ended up using printable vinyl for a customer and he was more satisfied lol
Can you do a comparison on the siser HTV and 3g opaque paper
I dont think siser really went through the whole process of trying the masking sheets to realize how not easy and annoying it would be for people otherwise they wouldve done it like a regular transfer tape type, your design can rip at any moment or get damaged cus of the way they implemented this lil hack.

OMG! I am having such difficulty following your directions! I’m not sure if it’s because I am using a Mac or if it’s because I have a different version but I am so frustrated! I can’t get the original cut lines to delete without deleting everything. HELP!

I use the Epson 2720 that I converted. My Media selections are auto select, coated paper, photo, photo high gloss, photo Matt, photo semigloss or plain paper. Which media should I use to print my design on easisubli?

Hey Fola, from what I hear there is a manufacturing shortage. Honestly? I would try to check smaller vinyl stores that are lesser known, they will probably still have a supply. None of my normal suppliers have any stock either. Best of luck on your search. ---Becky

Does it feel like HTV on the shirt? What the longevity? I noticed with HTV after a while it cracks or peels.

Looks like your using an epson 7710 printer, is there any special sublimation ink I need for this to work? Was going to buy a 7720 just trying to figure out what conversion kit to get.
Hey Erick! Yes, you'll need either a CIS system or refillable cartridges, depending on how often you plan on printing. The CIS systems can get clogs in the lines if you don't print almost daily. Hope this helps! ---Becky

Do you print on the glossy side of the easy subli?
You do not want to print on the glossy side, the glossy side is the mask or carrier sheet. 😊

What were you using as a mask? I have read mixed reviews on HTV Mask and have had a hard time finding a reliable source of the Easy Subli Mask and what you did looked so easy. Would love to know the product you used so I don't waste precious paper trying an inappropriate masking product.
Hey Tricia! I personally was using a high-tack transfer from Stahls, but to be honest, I have recently tried the EasySubli Mask again and I do think it is easier than the patterns mask. I know it looks easy in the video but it really is a pain LOL. If you are purchasing a mask either way, I would purchase the EasySubli mask. Hope this helps! ---Becky
You shared your main printer settings but I am wondering what the Color Correction settings are set to. I think this is the issue we are all having with the ink bleeding and not drying. Can you share what the Color Correction settings you had on the More Options tab please?

My subli is not weeding well at all
It may not have cut completely through the layer.
I hope you can help. I'm following along, and have tried several times, but 1. I am not able to change my page orientation to portrait. 2. I am not able to change the height to 19.0". Then I turn on the print border it is much small than my image. Can you please advise on how to fix this?
Hey Dona! I am more than happy to give it a try! First question, did you set your machine to "none"? I'll have to rewatch the video to see if I covered that, some versions of Silhouette Studio won't allow you to set the material larger than the mat.
Your print border is determined by the settings in your actual print driver. Go to File > Print. Find your printer and click on Preferences. In there you will find the settings you need to adjust for what your printer will print. Start with these and let me know how it goes! ---Becky

Any suggestion if 60+ seconds under the heat press still causes a smear? I have an epson printer, using cosmos ink, and a cameo 4.
I would work on testing your print settings. It may be that your printer is putting out more ink than the vinyl needs. Try lower print settings and that should output less ink so it'll dry. Hope this helps! ---Becky
so i am having an issue with when I put my easysubli into the epson printer, it doesn't matter if i do it through rear feed or the tray, it has these dots that are run after my main image. It does not do this on my sublimation paper fyi! How would I fix this?
Hey there! So if I am thinking correctly how you are describing, this is because the EasySubli is thicker than the sublimation paper and what you are seeing are commonly referred to as "pizza wheels" or something similar. I would check the level of ink (via your Printer Preferences) and see if you can reduce the amount of ink coming out. For example, I use Premium Presentation Paper Matte, but you may be able to use a more standard setting that will prink less ink. Hope this helps! ---Becky

I only have Cricut that I use for my vinly and just pretty much started doing sublimation. Can I use silhouette to print and then cut it on my cricut? Thank you
Hey Joy! You can use your Cricut for the Print and Cut, you will just be restricted by size. As of now, I don't have a way for you to print from Silhouette and cut with Cricut, because you won't have a way to line up your design with the Cricut software. Hope this helps! ---Becky

Yes, I set this up to have the white border because the font was distressed. You can set up the image to cut exactly around the image if you'd like, it's all personal preference I think. Hope this helps! ---Becky

Hey Derek, I print using Premium Presentation Paper Matte and Standard ink quality. You should set it to the side and also cure under you heat press, both will help the ink dry and not smear. Hope this helps! ---Becky
