I do DTF printing and press my prints @ 150°C for 10 seconds. The reason for cold pealing is for the melted glue to cool as to not come off the fabric when peeling. The shorter press time avoids the bubbles in your prints. The powder glue actually starts boiling after a maximum of 15 seconds and causes the bubbles you see in the Gnomes hats. Delonda, I just stumbled upon your video. Thank you thank you thank you! Long story but I’ll try to make it short. I’ve been following many coaches as I try to take my business to new heights. Someone recommended I get an Epson ET 15000 to do eco solvent dtf prints. I ordered it the same day. I let my cousin whose been in business longer than me talk me out of doing DTF but I couldn’t get the hang of regular sublimation. So now I’ve had my printer two months ($762) and haven’t used it since my first try with photoshop. The color that printed wasn’t the color on the laptop screen. BUUUUT you just gave me hope. I love Microsoft. I help others with the software virtually. I’m going to give it another try now using your method.
Thanks for the great video, Delonda. Your way of feeding the sheets works great. Pure genius. Keep up the great work. I'm 87 years old and learning every day.
I would only suggest using the DTF sublimation hack if you have a large, well-ventilated work area. I did the DTF sublimation hack with a different brand DTF powder - and in my small house, it caused me to have breathing issues. It doesn't have a smell, so be cautious or use protective equipment.
This is was super helpful. I purchased the DTF supplies a month or so ago but was to intimidated to try. Your video was a great step by step and appreciate the pros and cons. Thanks again. Tracy. 😊❤
I am not sure why most of the people given instructions talk a lot. However, you talking was plain and simple. Thanks so much for helping me use all these items I have purchased for dtf’s printing and sublimation.
I've been using HTV backing for my sublimation t's. This is a game changer because I really don't like the feel of the backing on cotton t's. I'm going to be changing my process, thanks to you. You really explain the process better than other vids I've watched. Thank you so much!

That was amazing! Thanks for doing it even though it’s not your favorite method. I appreciate it so much! I think the cost is much less than estimated because the initial cost of the powder can be spread across multiple shirts and remainder that doesn’t stick to an image goes back into the container. Again, my thanks!
Very good tutorial. First time watching anything about DTF. I will be trying. Yes extra steps, but easier and more cost effective and more color variety to be able to not have to just press on white polyester!!! Thanks for taking the time!!!❤
I love your videos, I've been following you for a little while and I love the step by steps and the transparency 😍 I really enjoy making shirts just trying to get this sublimation down pack🤦🏾♀️
Replaying it AGAIN… back to back. I like using my swing away press to hover over the film. It’s much better than my clam shell. I’ll be using the swing away tomorrow for those 20 shirts. I do need to get myself a larger printer. SOON!!! Thanks again, Delonda! ❤❤❤ PS. When you told us about your daughter’s Etsy shop, I tried to buy a couple things, but I got a message saying that the shop was not open.😔 I wanted to support her when I found out she had a shop. You have really done an amazing job raising your children. I know you will let us know when she opens her shop again. I wanted the pretty bookmark and the turtle. 🐢 She’s going to be a great success!!! And she has a huge heart just like her mother. Again, thank you! God bless you all.
Thank you SO much! I was getting ready to send back the sublimation printers, in, and paper as it was just seeming too complicated! Love this video - I feel relieved and grateful!
Delonda this is awesome!! Thanks for comparing! ESP for someone like me who apparently picked EXACTLY the stuff you use, same printer, same heat press 🎉 thank you for the shortcuts! In the future if you outgrow using Word I am in LOVE with Silhouette Studio even though I have a Cricut and can print sublimation images from there!
THANK YOU for addressing that annoying flashing light I have worried for a month now that I got a bad one., and have been unplugging it. You just gave me the green light that mine is safe to use.
I have been watching a ton of videos, but inhave to say yours is the most informative..I have been wabting to do this since I was a little girl....and the printer demonstration with the file and using Word program to do my designs.., amazing....you are so easy and simple to listen to, and your ways you mention are easy to understand. Thank you.
Thank you.. wow don't have convert a printer to dtf.. that is a miracle in it's self. I will watch your updates. The commenters are also so helpful. Thank you for reading them and responding so we get a wider view.
I do not follow people on yt because you get bombarded with adds and / or 10k notifications a day. However, this video just changed my way of thinking. I am a teacher 1st grade. Our classrooms look amazing because our paychecks make them. No government federal nor state provide the items we need to teach and produce successful learners. In order to purchase the things my students need, I have to get crefty in every sense of the word. I craft and sell and then build my rooms needs one project at a time. Your tutorial answered so many questions. I am liking, suscribing, and turning on notifications for your channel. I also shared your link to absolutely every one of my co-crafting teachers who depend on these methods to further our students. You are amazing, and if I were in charge of your report card, you would be an A+ Earner on the principals honors list. Thank you so much.
Excellent instructional video. Things to notice that viewers should be aware: 1. substituting other products other than what you have demonstrated simply induces more variables that will alter the outcomes. 2. INK tracking WILL occur. Your printer was printing at a very, very, slow speed allowing ink to dry more completely. But tracking WILL occur eventually. 3. Wet ink is what attracts the adhesive powder to bond to the image. The 'whiter' the result of the powdering process the better the adhesive coating will be and therefore the durability of the print on the cotton substrate. 4. Yes, this is a costly (comparative) method to hack incompatible methods. However, consider the full cost of doing a proper print on cotton, especially black fabric. In comparison, the hack you demonstrated is a CHEAP way to print on black cotton with an acceptable soft feel. 5. Put that press on a cart with wheels. If doing multiple garments, being outdoors during the pressing (curing) of the DTF transfer will prove to be a very wise action. Every DTF system makes it clear in bold red letters that ventilation is a process REQUIREMENT. There is no amount of chemical gases that are safe to inhale. I find the humidity within the garments and the chemicals related to the origin of the garments outgas during the pre-press such significant levels of unknown gasses that ventilating in the press area is a major concern if doing 10 or more garments in a row. I do intend to acquire the products you have demonstrated and take my own DFT journey. I will modify my printer to insure those rollers do not track ink onto subsequent prints. I don't think those exit rollers are essential. Keep up the awesome instructional work you do.
To note- your comment about “whiter” powder is not correct. Only white ink will do this. You will never do this hack successfully on a dark or black shirt. The powder is just glue. It cures transparent. Also since the stretchy powder glue has no stretchy white ink to bind to, it will eventually crack and fail (tests show a 15% loss of color after the first wash, and cracking at 8-10 washes. This is not not a via commercial application. For personal use, sure. The video though was outstanding as I’m sure you’ll agree. And thank you for your comment about proper ventilation. We have entire ventilation systems to extract the smoke, which contains glycol.
I meant not a viable commercial application. Also your tracking wheel comment is on point. And to add: for those that have printers without a straight exit tray, a straight exit is vital to avoid scratching. You’ll need to build something.

Glad it was helpful! I really don't offer one-on-one support because I have to balance my time in all of my other roles: wife, mom, professional, content creator, etc. You are welcome to join my Facebook group. They are helpful and kind.
Thanks for instructions that were very clear and concise. I am no longer afraid to try this process. I’m new to the sublimation and have a small space in a shop to sell items. Cotton tshirts are now on the list. Better value and no more vinyl unless requested.🎉
I have an epson 2800. when I print the image its good until the last bit then messes up the print. I tried taping it too and printer wouldn't take it. I tried 5 times to print, this stuff is too expensive for all the waste. out of options! Love the video, you explain everything very well!!
Thank you ❤️ Trust me I experienced issues beforehand. Make sure your print size from whatever app your using matches the print size on your printer. That was one problem I ran into.
I watch your channel all the time and I did buy that printer paper but could not figure out how to use it until I watched this video it was so helpful thank you delonda
This is my first video on sublimation. Don't really know what sublimation is trying to learn how I can apply in my craft business. I liked your video. Can you point me in the direction of learning more?
This video may have cleared up every concern I had about sublimation on T shirts (or other shirts), as I specifically do NOT want to be limited to white, or even light colored shirts, nor do I want to be tied to certain types of material. One "production" comment here: When you are off-camera, the volume of your voice drops drastically. I'm sure it's an easy fix, just needed to make you aware of it. You present your information very well and clearly enough for a beginner to follow and understand. Thanks to the Army, I have massive hearing loss and that was the only problem I had getting through this video.
This is the exact kind of feedback that I need. I will definitely try to be more aware of the volume of my voice and pay more attention to how the sound fluctuates during the process. Thank you so much.
I was going to get a vinyl cutter to try that method but since I already have a sublimation printer, I think I will go in this DTF direction! Thank you for this video.
What a beautiful smile. I like how you think and teach. I particularly loved the message about people who chase trends...that fear of missing out can lead to lost focus and waste of time and money. I like trying new things and learning but I also focus on what works best for me.
Thank you so much for this video! I was contemplating buying one of the dtf printers but didn’t what to pay $4000. I have a sublimination printer and I’m going to try this! ❤❤❤ Thanks for the hack.
Awesome!! Great teacher! This will be My preferred method because of the look and feel! No stiff decal feeling on the shirt! Thank you for this video!!!!
Hi Yolanda , first I just love watching your videos! So very helpful and you are just so nice and bubbly. I have discovered that using a heat gun to melt the powder works amazing. Hovering are und an inch or 2 and working in small sections. I have a htvRont heat press but the heat gun I find no reason to use the 385 setting to melt. Also I’ve used the method you showed on white cotton as well as light colored cotton shirts too. Wow ! They turned out perfect. A little offset and a couple with 0 setting offset. Thanks again 😊
Delonda, thanks for thorough discussion. I have an Epson 2400 which is rear feed only. I figured your approach was the simplest, so I tried. Absolutely no issues. However, first attempt on pressing on the cotton bombed. That's why I'm watching your video again. Thank you
I LOVE that heat press!! I have one of those antiquated monsters that is too hard for me to lock down and unlock.... I see one of these beauties in my future!
I feel confident that I can make my own after watching your video. You are a great teacher when you can create that kind of confidence. I also love your honesty which always comes through.

Good Lort I have an embroidery/sewing machine too. I FINALLY sewed myself a cute self-drafted short jacket. I was so happy. It even had cute little snaps on it. I then went to apply a Tinkerbell iron on transfer... and for some reason I could not get that transfer paper off. Entire jacket that I created and sewed was ruined 😪 So now I'm trying different techniques for transfers because that was so disappointing. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. It was a win for me. I had no problems, thanks to your share. I bought all of my supplies 8months ago. I finally got it done.

I love your videos, I've been following you for a little while and I love the step by steps and the transparency 😍 I really enjoy making shirts just trying to get this sublimation down pack🤦🏾♀️
Thank you 😊
You can do it!
Thank you. I thought I was going to have to buy an expensive drying oven. You saved me at least $300
Awesome!!
PS.
Wow! I think the most I have ever done is 11.
This is the simplest tutorial I've seen on how to do DTF. Thank you!!
Thank you so much ❤️
Thank you SO much! I was getting ready to send back the sublimation printers, in, and paper as it was just seeming too complicated! Love this video - I feel relieved and grateful!
I love how honest you are about what you love...
Thank you for showing how to do it. I am a hands on learner and struggle to find videos of people showing step by step instructions
Thank you so much ❤️
Delonda this is awesome!!
Thank you!
THANK YOU for addressing that annoying flashing light I have worried for a month now that I got a bad one., and have been unplugging it. You just gave me the green light that mine is safe to use.
Yes!
I haven't watched any of her videos, UT gosh, I already love her! Seriously, she's just so amazing!
Thank you ❤️
I have been watching a ton of videos, but inhave to say yours is the most informative..I have been wabting to do this since I was a little girl....and the printer demonstration with the file and using Word program to do my designs.., amazing....you are so easy and simple to listen to, and your ways you mention are easy to understand. Thank you.
I sincerely appreciate that.
Finally! I have been trying to find someone to show the process from beginning to end. Thank you for sharing!
You're very welcome
Thank you.. wow don't have convert a printer to dtf.. that is a miracle in it's self. I will watch your updates. The commenters are also so helpful. Thank you for reading them and responding so we get a wider view.
You’re welcome
Wow! That is literally one of the highest compliments I have ever received. Thank you very much and welcome aboard ❤️
Great video. Haven’t tried this yet and now I just might! Thank you!
Excellent instructional video. Things to notice that viewers should be aware:
1. substituting other products other than what you have demonstrated simply induces more variables that will alter the outcomes.
Thank you ❤️
TYVM - my Daughter offered my services to do some shirts & sweatshirts putting a design on them for a campground - told her no way am I going to do 20 of these with vinyl -lol - of course they wanted cotton Hahaha - just came across you today & i'm loving all you do TYVM
Thanks for watching!
I love your presentation! You are a great teacher! I will try this! Thank you so much!
Yes, this answered my ?
After seeing other hacks. No one said you could actually use a sublimation printer.
I truly appreciate your video as always.
Thank you and continue to use your Blessed Hands to help 💕 others
Thank you very much!
Thank you for the video! It was very easy to follow!!🎉
I am new to sublimation! Will be doing this to raise money for my animal rescue. I learned so much from you I cannot explain how much you have helped me! Thank you so much and I may be reaching out with questions hope that is ok.
Thank you ❤️
I have an epson 2800. when I print the image its good until the last bit then messes up the print. I tried taping it too and printer wouldn't take it. I tried 5 times to print, this stuff is too expensive for all the waste. out of options! Love the video, you explain everything very well!!
Thank you ❤️
Trust me I experienced issues beforehand. Make sure your print size from whatever app your using matches the print size on your printer. That was one problem I ran into.
YOU ROCK!!!! Learned so much from this!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOUR PAGE!!!
I am new at this and trying to learn what I need to do. Have had my equipment for a year now. So far I love what you are showing me. Thank you.
You can do it!
You are amazing. I haven't been able to figure dtf successfully on my own! But I got it 1st try with you on this video!
That’s awesome! I’m so glad you got it!
I watch your channel all the time and I did buy that printer paper but could not figure out how to use it until I watched this video it was so helpful thank you delonda
This video is my go to video when I use dtf everytime. Thanks
O love the way you say "It is me again Delonda!"
🤣🤣🤣 thank you. It started out as a joke and when I stopped saying it, people were like un un, I need to hear it!
I was going to get a vinyl cutter to try that method but since I already have a sublimation printer, I think I will go in this DTF direction! Thank you for this video.
You're very welcome!
won’t be able to print white ink so any white in your design will become the color of the shirt
Hello, loved the video, so this is really Sublimation ink with DTF powder... This could litteraly be a game changer for me.
Thank you!
This video helped me so much!! Thank you for explaining things so well!
I have watched many videos on DTF and it was still hesitant to try. Your video is amazing and I'm ready to actually try it!
Have fun!
I'm getting more confident with sublimation because of your videos. Thanks Delonda. Much appreciated.
Thank you so much
I am so glad I found your channel! You are very real with your reactions and advice. You are very appreciated by this new subscriber!
What a beautiful smile. I like how you think and teach. I particularly loved the message about people who chase trends...that fear of missing out can lead to lost focus and waste of time and money. I like trying new things and learning but I also focus on what works best for me.
Well said! Thank you for joining me ❤️
@@CraftingwithDelonda you make sense..and you are super creative.
Great job!!! I loved this!!! Great speaking voice too. Thank you.
I appreciate that!
Thank you so much for this video! I was contemplating buying one of the dtf printers but didn’t what to pay $4000. I have a sublimination printer and I’m going to try this! ❤❤❤ Thanks for the hack.
You are so welcome!
Awesome!! Great teacher! This will be My preferred method because of the look and feel! No stiff decal feeling on the shirt! Thank you for this video!!!!
You are so welcome!
You are the best!!!!! You are so good at explaining and teaching. God bless you!
Thank you so much ❤️
Great tutorial. I haven’t tried dtf but this makes me want to try it. Thank you!
You're welcome
Hi Yolanda , first I just love watching your videos! So very helpful and you are just so nice and bubbly. I have discovered that using a heat gun to melt the powder works amazing. Hovering are und an inch or 2 and working in small sections. I have a htvRont heat press but the heat gun I find no reason to use the 385 setting to melt. Also I’ve used the method you showed on white cotton as well as light colored cotton shirts too. Wow ! They turned out perfect. A little offset and a couple with 0 setting offset. Thanks again 😊
Thank you for sharing. Watching this video in Nicaragua, and that gray shirt was made in Nicaragua!!!
Awesome! Thank you ❤️
Delonda, thanks for thorough discussion. I have an Epson 2400 which is rear feed only. I figured your approach was the simplest, so I tried. Absolutely no issues.
However, first attempt on pressing on the cotton bombed. That's why I'm watching your video again. Thank you
Wow! I’m glad the first part of the process worked!
This has been amazing i found this video i dont have buy a huge printer and step by step was great!!!
Thank you so much!
I LOVE that heat press!! I have one of those antiquated monsters that is too hard for me to lock down and unlock.... I see one of these beauties in my future!
Yes, I love this one too. I just had to have my husband build a makeshift stand to go undernourished.
Hi Delonda, I watched two of your videos and I really like the way you explain what you are doing CLEAR and REAL. Thanks so much
Thank you so much 💓
I feel confident that I can make my own after watching your video. You are a great teacher when you can create that kind of confidence. I also love your honesty which always comes through.
Thank you so much ❤️
I’m loving your energy! I’m just getting started, so glad I searched around until I found you.
Thank you kindly.
I always learn something new from your videos Delonda ... no matter the topic. I picked up a new Epson printer during Amazon Prime days and can't wait to try all this new stuff. Thank you dear lady. ❤️
Just wanted to say how much we love your videos. As a fellow TH-camr (gaming) you explain things so well, and your smile is so delightful. My wife is the crafter and watches a lot of people, but you are one of the few I truly enjoy. But Astros? Go Dodgers!! 😂😂
I just ordered my first small heat press and I needed to get guidance and help, you are so good at explaining this process, so genuine!!!
So your sample shirts of the different methods you've used... I've seen every one of those videos lol
Also, I had just recently purchased materials to try this hack but I learned a few things from YOUR video I didn't learn from others. Like that it doesn't bleed threw shirt. Thats huge for me, I HATE having to put parchment inside shirts.
Thanks so much for your videos, I'll stay tuned to see your wash update & all future videos. You're def one of my top 3 crafters to watch. And like you say, I LOVE IT!
Thank you so much. Here’s the wash update SUBLIMATION WITH DTF POWDER WASH UPDATE

I just stumbled across your video and I can't wait to try this and also see what else you've got on your channel. I have an underused Cricut and an underused sublimation printer.
Oh wow! Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. It was a win for me. I had no problems, thanks to your share. I bought all of my supplies 8months ago. I finally got it done.
Thank goodness I found your channel! This is the best video I’ve watched about doing this.
Awesome! Thank you!
I just stumbled across you this morning. I wasn’t even looking for this but your energy attracted me. I love your video and I plan to binge the rest of your videos😊
Thank you so much!!
Thank you...loved this easy hack...ready to make my christmas shirts for my nephews and nieces
Thank you
