    What I great video!! Thank you for showing both methods, really great info here! We did run into one issue using the EasySubli and the Epson printer. We were unable to get the sheet to feed into the printer correctly. After 7 attempts I decided to try to help the paper feed. This worked, both times I tried, but the sheet didn't feed straight and the ink streaked a bit. We ended up deciding that the EasySubli was more trouble than it was worth, but this video may change that. I really like the idea of sublimating onto the EasySubli sheet, this could minimize a number of the problems we ran into. Anyway, thanks again!!

    • @JustMightDIY

  • @jmogyoro
    @jmogyoro ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I thought I tried every print setting and settled on Premium Matte, standard res. Most of the time it was fine, but when there was lots of black in the image, it bled into other colors. Colors were vibrant though. Glossy photo/standard was ultimately the setting that solved the bleed problem, which is what you said in the vid, I think. So thank you.

    This was the best tutorial on easi sub that I have found plus you used cricut and epson - which I already have! As a graphic designer for a long time, I was most excited to see that you named the PSDs properly! With descriptive text and divided by dashes! no spaces! (ignored the other psds...LOL!) It is a pet peeve of mine. I really liked this method of having the whole video edited and you both just did the narration. It was a lot easier to follow and did not waste time while looking for something. Thanks so much!

      @@JustMightDIY How about using the markers in the 'small area' then use a Circuit (or other) teenie tiny heat press 'iron" to that area. Less chance of lifting other original design areas. Might work. OR ... maybe PRE-adjust the print to A-Sub paper bleed to a fraction of a size larger if that impossible... to over cover the already pressed Easy Subli.

    I truly enjoy your tutorials.
    I tried the easy Subli as well and went through 10 sheets testing and cleaned my printer 3 times during the process and the ‘pizza wheels’ still showed up so I’m not a fan of the easy Subli. It’s too expensive to use to have the images ‘marred’ every time. I heard if you own a Sawgrass printer it works better but that’s too expensive of a ‘fix’ for the issue as a small crafter right now. I did not try the second method you demonstrated as I ran out of the Easy Subli but I wish I had seen this first. 👍❤️

    Great video! You guys actually do have the best step by step video explaining this process. I learned alot and now I’m ready. Thank you. Although, I just ordered my ecotank ET 15000 as well so I’m curious. Isn’t there a slow print setting to allow more time to dry while printing for the less likelihood of those pizza marks? Also anything i should know about the Ecotank 15000 before I start using it for sublimation?

    • @JustMightDIY
      @JustMightDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Doing this video we went through all of the settings we could find on both the printer side and computer to slow it down for drying before it got to the pizza wheels. We even left the lid open while printing. What we showed after dozens of tries and lots of wasted EasySubli is the best we could get. The problem is EasySubli does not absorb the ink like normal sub paper. This is why we put it under some heat after printing.
      As for the printer,
      th-cam.com/video/OfBydn1XPaA/w-d-xo.html
      It's been great for a year+. This was our set up of it, nothing done off camera. Make sure and have in use once a week to keep ink from congealing.
      Hope this answered everything and happy crafting!

    • @JustMightDIY

  • @LouRao
    @LouRao 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You stated printing directly on the EasySubli is wet, placed under the heat press to dry it, but you mention not to touch it because the ink is still wet? What was the reason to placed EasySubli under the heatpress to dry even though it didn’t dry? If EasySubli didn’t dry, the image would end up smearing during the cut?

    • @JustMightDIY
      @JustMightDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey and thanks for your question. It dried enough to get a clean cut with the tiny Cricut blade, but we wouldn’t go pressing and rubbing our big paws all over it. EasySubli is designed to work with its own very specific ink in the Sawgrass printer, so it’s a little finicky with other inks as we show here. Hope that helps!

    • @LouRao

    yesterday for me 23/12/23, I used my easy subli for the first time. I was told NOT to mirror the easy subli, so I print out and cut the offset, then set out to cut the sublimated image, Portrait, but when I cut the offset. it was also in portrait, BUT the sublimation image printed horizontal :( so it did not line up on the easy subli, (wasted sheet of easy subli) 🥲🥲my question is. If you do not mirror the easy subli, but mirror the sublimation image, how can this line up?? I am still a sublimation newbie here. thank you.

      Hey! Your sublimation image will need to be placed face down on top of your easysubli in order to be transferred, so the sublimation image needs to be mirrored. Hope this helps!

    I just started sublimation and i'm finding kids shirts colored and high poly count are hard to find. I took the sublimation plunge because I really hated weeding HTV and I was never really confident that it would stick forever. So my question is...since this is an htv....are you able to pick at the edges and see the edge ( like in his glitter htv shirt)

    • @JustMightDIY
      @JustMightDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is an extremely thin htv. There's obviously going to be an edge to pick at but it is so thin and adheres strongly. You would be super hard pressed to have it come up in the edges if it's pressed correctly.
