Find a bushing that fits the pin, oversize the hole to a zero tolerance fit so that you have to press the bushing in, freeze the bushing or heat up the hole and drop it in.

That's a easy fix. Go buy pipe from steel yard that fits you pin. When you put a full piace pipe across and install a greese set. I'll pay 300.00 and mod it to work better for a few dollars. Then pay 2000.00 to 3000.00. But that's me. I can weld. Built my ripper tooth for less then 100.00 for subcompact kioti tractor. It works grate with less mess

Yes there are ways to fix it. I understand that. If you follow my channel you can see I’m capable of that. It’s the fact a lot of folks aren’t. So if they are looking into buying this piece and they don’t then maybe go ahead and buy the right thing. I think i was looking at some name brands for around 1600 bucks. I’m already around 900 after buying and upgrading the cylinder and hoses.

Thats a simple fix. Get a larger harden steel bolt and only weld after it completely breaks

it needs greasable bushings like the rest of your joints,,if you do not have a lathe to machine them you will need to have them made

Probably have a few 100 hours on it by now. Getting wallowed out a bit but hey it happens. I think I’ll be looking to get the right one when it wears down to much.

Dude puts a giant hydraulic cylinder on a manual thumb, and then blames the thumb manufacturer for added wear. 🤣😂🤣

Hmm clearly you did watch all the videos. It came with a bigger ram than I put on it. I just put one with more length on it, but ok. (Was not manual) But you would know.

    How thick are the sides

    • @thecheltonchannel5739

I thought I said but maybe not. I would have to check them. I know the main mount and the jaw are to different thicknesses.

The jaw it’s self is 1/2” and the piece that’s welded to the dipper stick is 1/4”

I'm sorry but why the heck u got that crap any way. More down time with that pos. Just get the one from the dealer.

Well in the beginning of the video I stated the people i bought it from put it on. Or welded it on. So it came with it and it was new. I have a few other videos on modding it and now I’m starting to have some luck out of it. But yes a lot of time into it to get a little luck. And not everyone has 2k laying around to just go get one from a dealer. That’s the point of doing the video.
