Whenever a negative thought creeps into my mind, I simply say to myself: “I don’t play that game anymore” it cancels the negativity. Takes a little practice, but in a day or two, the negative thoughts give up on you and go away.

@Curry G when I would feel like this, I would make it a point to say "stop" under my breath once or twice. I noticed whenever I made it a point to "say it," my mind would automatically change focus. At that point, I get to choose my focus........not my mind. Maybe you could try it

    • @wordup897
      @wordup897 ปีที่แล้ว +8

@@Erik7prc True. Be conscious of what is happening, stop it, and change train of thought. Replacing with positive affirmations is also helpful , using the conscious mind to reprogram the subconscious into what you want it to be and create.

Looking back, I realized that I've been so harsh on myself last year. My head was filled with negative thoughts and self doubt and it made me struggle to do things that are not even supposed to be difficult. This year, I promise to be more mindful and will do my best to challenge those negative thoughts. I always seem to forget the great things I've achieved in the past. I need to remind myself that I DID THAT. If I'm really not smart and good enough like I've been telling myself all throughout last year, how the heck did I achieve those things? I am smart. I am good enough. I am worthy.

I suffer from extreme anxiety and low self-confidence some days.
This morning, after listening to this video, I took a deep breath, and acknowledged my anxiety. I then exhaled and imagined I was releasing the letters A.N.X.I.E.T.Y.
I repeated this a few times, and tried to align myself with the thought that high am happy and confident.
This actually works. You just have to be willing to release the negative emotions. That is the hard part. Really imagine a negative emotions leaving in your body as you exhale.
    Abra Cadabra!
    Thank you!

The reason many people venture into Trading/Investing (Financial Market), is so that they can get to have a better life, while working and even after retirement. The wisest thing that should be on every wise individual's list is to invest in different stream of income; I am earning more this year because I have been investing while working at the same time. I invested through TERESA JENSEN WHITE, same woman that an anchor kept mentioning on CNBC, and made multiple of my start up capital within three months . She lives here in the USA and she is licensed

It's always nice when teachers say things like he will never learn to read. This was in 3rd grade. I struggled with learning all through school until about 11th grade where I started to understand what was going on. To this day I have a business, youtube channel, graduated college AA computer science and I work at a amazing company. So I'm pretty sure I succeeded far past the teachers who said I was mentally disabled. I obviously learn differently than the norm. Dont ever give up confidence is hard to find but you have it believe in yourself.

When negative thoughts nag you in your sleep, it’s impossible to do anything in this video. I’ve been struggling to shut off anxiety and it’s something like obsessive hyper-rationality in my semi conscious sleep state which lasts through the night. I go from that to being fully awake. Negative thoughts and a broken circadian rhythm combined is hard to meditate your way out of…

    • @saintejeannedarc9460
      @saintejeannedarc9460 ปีที่แล้ว +6

This would be true when the negative thought pattern is deeply entrenched, then it will come out unabated when you are asleep or half asleep. The trick is to rewire and reset healthier patterns when you are awake. Eventually these new tapes that are running will be changed and you won't be helpless in reduced states. It's a lot of work, but it's doable w/ perseverance.

Thank you Jim, excellent abbreviations as always! I try to meditate and one of the teachers said ‘we don’t take a breath, we ‘receive and we release’ our breath. Some times we release all the negative thoughts but we can also receive blessings, grace, love, joy, peace….. and release the same to our loved ones and all the people. What struck me was changing the word from “Take” to “receive” humbles us immediately and brings gratitude!!

I want to release feelings of feeling like I’m not compatible for female relationships and being dependent on validation from women, I also want to release feelings of not being enough I’m general and me feeling stagnant and that I’m not accomplishing to what I want to achieve. I want to let go of what happened in the past with some women I currently talk to or did talk to.
I want to align towards knowing I am a capable of a relationship with a female, I am someone who is ready and prepared to be in a relationship, and to be intimate and that I’m set for it, and I can develop the traits and habits to be that person for myself, to be comfortable in my own sexuality, in my personality, who I am as a person, and being the person I want to be. I want to align to letting the people I currently talk to or used to talk to, letting them be and focusing on myself and working towards bettering myself and being better always. I want to believe i am capable of what I want to do, and knowing i am special and I am made to do great things, regardless of the validation I get from it. I want it to be something innate in me, something developed from myself.

One limiting belief that has recently been planted in my mind is that if you weren't born a certain way you'll never become more. This was said by one of my teachers who is amazing at what he does but he puts out a life-is-predetermined attitude and it has grown in my mind ever since. Making it more difficult to try to change my circumstances and improve myself. Now I'm trying to release that defeatist teaching and align with the fact that I am in control of what I do and now learning I can also be in control of what I think. It's crazy how other people's words can really affect your mind in such a way that it is very much like a spell. You have to be so careful about who you listen to. Thank you Jim this video really helped me snap out of that trance.

My negative self talk is old, very old programming that comes from my mother-
“Be careful … “ as I am bringing a tray of breakfast to a table, now I can hear myself thinking/saying to myself everything that could go wrong- I could drop the cup of coffee, I could drop the plate etc.
That insidious negative messages have made me insecure on my own performance.
While I am not as negative as my
mother was, her messages are still running the show.
Be careful this and be careful that. If you ask me, is an stressful way to live that I want to correct.
    😮
…I will have to be diligent because the messages are so subtle, if I do not purposely pay attention, I do notice them.

More than that, your mind *_creates the self-talk,_* eavesdrops on that which it has created, watches your behavior to give you self-fulfilling results, and reinforces the beliefs which creates more of the *_same_* self-talk.
The real problem: behind the beliefs are the *_decisions to define past traumas._* Trauma prevents full responsibility because it is too painful to look at. Awareness is the key disinfectant. Followed by full responsibility empowers the individual to *_take charge_* of the beliefs and allows you to give those events new meaning.

What I'm alining to: I will inevitably get better as long as I continue to practice the way I have been. The way I break down the steps I need to work on to improve inevitably lead me towards progress. The efficiency I strive to work for is even greater than Summer's, yet look how far she's come. Imagine what I could do. My passion burns even if I'm not at the fun part yet, the time invested in me will inevitably lead to results as long as said time remains consistent. Words are vibrations when spoken out loud, when we all speak positive words we all vibrate on the same energy. Knowledge truly is power. 🙏🏽😊

    10:43
My biggest negative belief is that I'm not good enough, in every sense of interpretation. Not good enough to do my work well, not good enough to move up to a higher pay rate, to finally have a car, to own a house, to achieve my dreams, to be acknowledged, to be remembered. Everything I do screams at me that I'm not adept enough, everything, and I can't see a way to think myself out of it when thinking only digs me deeper. All I can do is distract myself and keep that thought at bay to keep it from consuming and destroying me.

I struggle with extreme anxiety and the longer I live with the anxiety the more my self confidence and self esteem seems to diminish, then as all that diminishes here comes the negative self talk. It’s like a viscous cycle!

This is why we need better teachers. Real teachers... way too often teachers at schools are verbally abusive, judgmental, or uncaring towards there students. Most of the teachers I had weren't too bad, most of the ones I remember were really good teachers who cared about their students, so for me its mind boggling to think that an actual teacher would ever go so far as to tell someone they are a failure or have a "broken brain," that's just wrong on so many levels! Yet I hear about stuff like that all too often...
A good teacher teaches because they love their students, not to get a paycheck.

How can i deal with my colleague who has very negative thinking? Every single thing for him is a problem. He always tell me that i'm not good at work but I have to work closely with him.
    thanks

    • @vidmantaskvidmantask7134

Tell him: You are right. : ) and repeat that as many times as needed when he complains. Also dont drink too much caffeine it couses anxiety. If you are not drinking then good. Eat healthy, do sports and he wont affect you you will get dopamine. It will be like... he is complaining and you are in good mood and he wont affect you. The fact that he affects you means you are afraid to be a bad worker. Idealism ? When you are angry about something its connected with hidden fear. Anger as a self defence when its happening. Because fear is pulling the strings from the closed curtains.

Thank you so very much for this, Jim! I’ve had to repatriate to the UK from a glorious retirement in Greece after my Civil Partner took seriously ill. He’s the one who always built me up and this lesson has made me realise, after 47 years together, I’m into a new phase of my life and I’m going to have to take this responsibility on for myself now. It’s quite the realisation, but I can do it for myself so I’m a better support to him now in his Care Home. Thank you so very much indeed.
