Thanks for validating some of the things I've recently incorporated into my routine, Jim, in hopes of recuperating from over a decade of escapism after a freak accident stole my beloved spouse of 50 + years.
I recently incorporated a 30 minute outdoors (Come Rain, S,hine, Snow, or Sleet) a.m.circadian Rhythm Reset, plus, Dr.Bush's 4 minute workout to activate the 6 major muscle groups releasing the Nitric oxide factor.
From. your helpful suggestions today I hope to add opposite hand tooth brushing plus accomplishing 3 professional & 3 personal daily achievements.
As "Miss Piggy' used to say: "So MNy men, so little time."
In my case it is: "So Mich to do, so little time."
      Thanks, Jim, for reminding me:
"The day we stop learning we stop living."

      1. 3 mints exercise
      2. Brain Smoothie
      3. Journal and reading
      4. Use or my left hand for brushing my teeth, driving using left hand and eating at least one meal with left hand
Big thank u for sharing these
And yes big "not to do list item" checking my phone and waking up at random times instead of some fixed time 😀

    What I have learned from this video;
    Morning routine
    1. Remember your dream(s)
    2. Make your bed, clean environment, clean mind, enable productivity
    3. Hydrate, take water
    4. Brush your teeth, using your opposite hand, this will stimulate and keep you present
    5. 7:00am exercise, whatever is good for your heart, is good for your brain 3-5mins
    6. Take a shower
    7. Do one difficult thing, easy things are depressing, difficult things keep you alive
    8. Take your brain power smoothy
    9. Do your reading, and journal; all genius does that, it builds your mind
    10. Have a not to do lists; you must say no to good in order to say yes to great
    11. Phone puts you on a reactive move
    12. Write your 3 most important goals for the day; the most important thing, is to keep the most important
    13. Writing things that will make today a great day: begin with the end in mind! Put first things first. The most important thing is to keep the most important, the most important thing. First things first. Write down three things you want to do for yourself professionally, personally, and don’t touch your phone until you do or accomplish one of those things. It doesn’t have to be big things, it could also be small things
    14. Just don’t get up, pick your phone and start reacting
    15. Technology is neither good or bad. It is just a tool, you can use it positively or negatively
    16. Technology is a tool to be used but when technology is using you then you become the tool
    17. First you create your habits then your habits creates you

Love this. The first thing I do when I open my eyes is say thank you God for waking me up. 2. I go take my vitamins and hydrate. 3. I pray. 4. I meditate. 5. I brush my teeth. 6 I exercise physically and mentally for 2 hours. I read sometimes when riding a stationary bike or I listen to audio book while jogging. I do this every morning for the last two years and it has transformed my life I no longer choose depression. I no longer choose reactivity. I choose happiness. I choose joy. I choose to be of service. I choose the perfection in me that was given at birth.

I am thankful for the day ahead, I smile and fill my heart with joy, meditate in stillness, deep breathing whilst bare feet on the ground looking at the early morning sun rising, stretches and gentle exercises, oil pulling, make my bed have a warm glass of water, some days I don't have the time for them all . Learning to be okay with that 🙂

    Remember my dreams
Make my bed (excellence is habit)
    Glass of water with probiotics
Brush teeth with opposite hand (wake up other side of body, keeps present)
Do a little workout (morning time heart rate up by 3mins)
Shower (cold, do difficult things to be mentally fit)
    Brain food

Tip for cold showers : use a hand-held shower head and start with the feet and hands, and go up gradually, rubbing fast the skin with your hands, especially the thighs, belly and shoulders. I've been doing that for 6 months every day and I love it, I can't even stand hot showers anymore.

    1) Recall dreams
    2) Make your bed
How do you do anything is how you do everything
    3) Drink Water
    4) Brush teeth with opposite hand, forces you to be present
    5) Light workout, I'll probably do yoga as well though,
Get your heart pumping for 3 mins
    6) Take a cold shower
    7) Make a brain power smoothie
    8) Read
    9) Journal
Don't check the phone until you cross these items off your list
First you create your habits and then your habits will create you
    My current morning routine -
    1) Wake up late at 9am
    2) Check phone immediately
    3) Brush and eat breakfast with my phone in hand
    4) work
I do not like my routine, thanks Jim for giving me small actionable things I could work on to kickstart my morning, it's not like I'm not a morning person (infact I think mornings are the best), I have just gotten very lazy. I'll start this from tomorrow and report after a month without fail!

    • @ihate4chan
      @ihate4chan ปีที่แล้ว +4

I guess it has been a month guys, I'm still working on the consistency , like I'm able to follow this routine only on some days and not all days. The key weakness is not waking up at 6am , because I am not going to sleep by 11pm (I need 7 hours of sleep atleast)

    Wake up with gratitude
    Drink Water
    Brush my teeth
Meditation (breathwork + Gentle Yoga) - Mindfulness
    Workout
Take time to refresh and get ready
    Make the bed
    Mirror Work
Have a good breakfast - but the smoothie is a good one to do - with great nutrients .
Then get the day start - write down things i need to do (3 most important things)

The everyday stress still happens, yet I personally can move through it with zero panic attacks, as long as I stay focused on the gratitude & ride that positive wave to healthy solutions. Not saying it’s easy bcuz some moments are WTH?!!, but my days are overall hopeful & joyous. 🙌🏼

Thanks a lot for your videos. I really enjoy them and many of your routines work for me very well. One thing though I came recently across is the concept of ego depletion. The idea there is that willpower is a limited resource and every action that requires willpower will empty our "willpower tank" until we at some point can't do certain actions anymore. I think this is important to keep in mind when we build a morning routine that consists of many new actions because I think it shows that it is unrealistic that we can implement all these changes at once and start becoming a new person over night. Instead I think we need to be conscious that it is more realistic to build these habits bit by bit over a long time. Once these become habits they won't consume anymore willpower which we can then use for other actions.

I start my day by drinking a glass of water after I wake up, doing mindful meditation, reading for at least 25 mins, doing 5-10 mins of exercise, or jumping rope for a start because I'm building this new habit, and then taking a cold shower.

The thing that I retained the most from your video is that the first hour of waking up is crucial to decide how your day its gonna be.....today I got up from bed minutes after and the difference is huge....thanks

I listened to a shorter version of this by you, st least that’s how I remember it😂…this was elevated and I shared this with people. The “no phone” was new to me, and I will implement this right away. I so love your work and your work ethic. This is such valuable information. I do some of the things already, so I will be “habit stacking” I think you mentioned that in another great video. In the other one you mentioned going outside for a few minutes if possible. I love that too…maybe not in the winter in Alaska😅, but I’ll work on that too

Thank you for this! I loved it
The first thing I do in the morning is saying this, “I am open and receptive to all the good that is for me, from now on I receive love, health, fortune, blessings, greatness and light, and I am receiving them right now” I give thanks for my wonderful and blessing live. Them I visualize for 20 min.
I drink water with methylene blue and probiotics and then i do breathing exercises for 10 min, meditate for 1 hour, then I stretch for 15 min to 30 min. While Listening to good insights, take cold bath, get ready and prepare and serve breakfast, thanks!❤

I will do these works in the morning. These works improve focus and approximately then from 2month your focus changed power focus. It works because for a long time I keep use. It is very useful exercise for me. I suggest do these exercise.
    1. Room exercise
    2. Point exercise (mostly 2min)
    3. Breathing exercise (3min)

    what I learned, is that Jim, when you spoke slower I got so much out of everything you said. Even when I took live presentations from you I could not improve my memory because your speed of delivery was too fast for my brain. But this was FABULOUS!!! and I thank you. So many wonderful ideas. Staying focused on having met daily goals and doing them. ;
like making the bed. It invites you to have an organized day, and its a welcome to get into a freshly made bed that cocoons you totally of all the accomplishments you made for the day. I thank you. all is written down. I will retype and tape to my wall and start doing this daily. I won't use blinders, I promiss.Rachelle Neher

In the morning I start with a guided meditation to turn on my inner smile and get my vibration in alignment with love and receptivity. I try or carry this through my day.
I am going to try not checking my phone in the morning so habitually and see what happens.
I’m also going to do a little exercise in combination with my new habit of going outside and getting some light in the first hour of waking up.
