    My son and I work on family member cars. Roughly ten or twelve vehicles. We started out using Bridgestone Turanza Serenitys, when they were dropped we switched over to Continental DWS 06 and now to 06 Plus. We have never had a complaint about these tires, except when they get worn down and wet driving gets a little dicey. Also not good in snow when worn down but here in Upstate NY we run snow tires in the winter. Overall best tire for the price.

    I put the Continental Extreme Contact Sport my 2015 Mustang GT. The OEM Pirelli P Zero Nero is an excellent all season tire. But the Continental Extreme Contact Sport has shaved seconds off of my track times. I love this tire.

    Continental's new Sportcontact 7 was shown to be better(faster) than the Ps4s, but you can hardly find them here in the US. So I'm hoping that these tires will be similar.

    Terrific review! THANKS! Ffor a performance but budget minded driver, residing in a desert climate, with zero snow driving, is the dry and wet traction/handling improvement of these Conti's EC Sport 02 summer tire, compared to their all-season UHP DWS06+ tires, worth (a) the added cost of $164 for four, and (b) the notable degradation in tread wear life (30K warranty vs 50K)? Or best to stick with the all-season? Just not sure how the handling compares between the two for dry and wet.

      Terrible answer by FI... The DWS 06 is an Ultra High Performance all season and the ECS 02 is an Ultra High Performance Summer... The DWS 06 is one of the best all-around tires there is, and is prob a step behind the ECS 02 in warm dry, prob about the same in regular wet and prob a step ahead in cold rain. The DWS 06 is amazing if you want the best all around 3 season tire and even OK for light snow while the ECS 02 is amazing if you want a high performance summer only tire that has a decent life span.

      Normally I look for a good value, the name brands tent to be great but overpriced, a set of Michelin for my car is about $1100 when I can find some brand and watch reviews for that are good for $500. Sure I dont get the absolute best all the time but saving the money for more important stuff that I dont need to replace as often is more important to me.
      Thats why I dont buy Michelin or other big brands, they all follow the same standards. Maybe if my car was worth 60k+ (actually worth not a brand new car) I would buy a brand name tire.

    • @RadDadisRad
      @RadDadisRad ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@doriangray2347 no it doesn’t. Michelin historically has built a better tire. Doesn’t matter what segment you’re looking at. I was a design and automation engineer for Goodyear AG from 2018-2021. I know what makes a good tire. Tire carcasses and compounds have not changed drastically in the passed 10 years and I don’t foresee any major changes in the next 10 years.
