Sir I have done 3 doses of rabies and have to do my 4th vacation but my cat bit me before the 4th bite now I have to do sir plz reply
on 15th October 4 days back, i had gone to market where a silent behaving dog came near me and maybe not exactly sure touched my trouser (near knee region) with its mouth . i think i touched that part touched by that dog and maybe i made contact with my eyes or mouth when i reached home. i came home and immediately changed trouser. there was no open wound or cut in that region. and the dog was dirty not clean . plz tell sir
usually rabies doesn’t spread through saliva over trouser or pants, or any clothing. For rabies to be transmitted, there should be a bite or lick over the fresh open wound.
In your case you look safe . however, you can go for anti rabies vaccination if you have even a single percent doubt.

Sir my sister was vaccinated September 2022 ,four doses for post exposure prophylaxis anti rabies.
Yesterday stray dog scratch my sister hand .
Whether she need to take rabies vaccine for re exposure or not ?
According to national rabies control programme rexposure should take two doses on 0 and 3 Rd day

Sir erig infiltration of wounds is it ok if already taken full preventive vaccination for rabies one year ago. The doctor gave inspite of telling and showing her the card
it's not as per protocol.
ERIG should not be given in previously vaccinated patients....

Sir kya kisi ko koi dog nails se scratch Kar DE without any blood or us ghav ko wo wash na kare or koi dusra insaan uske ghav ko 2-4 min baad touch karde finger se or us dusre Bande k finger pe minor cut ho without bleeding

My father has received 5 doses of im ARV and Hrig (ARS) in category 3
Past history -of dog bite prior
approx 15 yr back but not confirm
about full course
So in rexposure we don’t done the RFFIT test during treatment and given the above mentioned complete course of category 3 bite
Now after 8 months of vaccination he has tingling sansition at site of dog bite from last 1 month…. Is it normal or need to consult the doctor ??.please guide ..
it could be due to neuritis...
as far as rabies is concerned, it's not the same...

Sir dog bitted me on my thigh
But on my 0days doctor injected hrig on my buttock rather than thigh or infected area. And my arv schedule they given is 0,3,7,28days it cover only 4dose right now I have taken 0,1dose sir now I'm concerned due to wrong way of injected hrig.should i have to tell doctor to include 14day vaccination too.sir please reply

1. Dog bite me a month ago I have taken immunoglobulin and (Arv)full course it was a category three bite on hip little blood is there like nothing only multiple teeth bite are there so I am safe or not?
2. I have many scratches previously due to car accident
So I have a doubt that dog bitten on my hip and I have taken rigs but on foot where I have doubt I have not taken any rigs only completed full course of Arv so I am safe or not

Sir, already i have ARV last year, and now again dog bite happened catagory 3, the same day within 24 hours started the ARV with HRIG , when i went to pathalogy for test rffit but they told me we are testing only IgG , i have given for igG test but it will delay for getting the result in my area. As per schedule today have taken 3rd does means(0,3,7)of ARV . Please suggest any problem will happen because HRIG??
note in your case, you should go for full course that is-
4 ID or

Sir i had a dog bite in 2021 and i took Arv course of 4 or 5 vaccines. On 12th may 2024 a dog having rabies bite me on my foot with little bleeding so i took Arv first dose on 13th may. And today on 15th may same dog bite me on finger of my hand. I go to sterlisation center for rescues so please answer my 2 questions.
is there need to take HRIG as i have taken full vaccine course of Arv in 2021 and is there any need to change the dosage of Arv as i have bitten twice in 3 days duration?
On prescription of government hospital its written inj Arv 0.2 ccilb and my weight is 87 kgs. So is this dose sufficient for 4 days vaccination course?

you can check it by putting few drops of aftershave lotion or spirit over the affected area. If you get any burning sensation, then you should go for anti rabies vaccine

1)Do I also need to take a Tetanus Injection, too? I took it last time in Feb 2023 with my first injection of Rabies.
2)Do I need to take the 2nd dose at the same IM site or site? I was reading National centre for disease control and it was mentioned on page 29. So just wanted to clear this doubt also.

Rabies doesn’t spread in that manner. In such cases, there is no need of any anti rabies vaccine.

Agar kisi person ko arv 4 intradermal vaccination continue kr Raha Hain,air uska rig zarurat pare,legin wound pe Dena possible nhi Hain..iske liye rig kaha pe administration Krna chahiye CV o
since you have given 4 doses of anti rabies vaccine through intradermal route, HRIG can’t be administered.
1. HRIG should be given at the time of first ARV.
2. HRIG if not given initially then it should not be delayed for seven days.
3. HRIG can’t be given in those cases where two dosage of ARV has been administered already.

since you have been already vaccinated against rabies, you don't require HRIG presently.....
this time you require only two doses on day 03

in your case, there is no need of any extra vaccine. Just continue your remaining vaccine as per schedule.

Sir mujhe 8 saal pehle arv liya sir uske baad firse doctor ne complete course lene ko bola after re exposure without immunoglobulin 0,3days intradermal liya 7th day ko intramuscular aur sir 14 day ko firse re exposure huwa15 day ko aur 17 day ko do extra le liya firse arv ke, ab 28th day dose lu ki nahi sir aur agar loon kya koi problem hai

2018 - WHO says no need of vaccination for three months.
2021 - National Rabies Control Programme says vaccination is required irrespective of time gap.
To be on safer side, one should get 2 doses on day 0 & 3

there is no need of so many vaccines. After getting fully immunised, you can go for only two additional doses on day zero and day three.
