3 years ago i was bitten by a less than 2 month stray dog on my finger and a pin size hole along with blood came.i immediately washed and next day went to govt hospital and i don't remember exactly but i think I have taken only 3 doses only.
Will i get rabies again?

there is no need to restart the course. There is no need to take any extra vaccine. Just take your remaining doses as per schedule.

1)Sir I was bitten on 19th January.Sir i started 5 doses vaccination from 22 January and took my 5th dose on 19 Feb.I have a little doubt if the chemist has given me 4th dose properly as I saw the injection broke and vaccine coming out but the chemist said it was spirit that you saw dropping.i completed my 5th dose on 19th February and on 24thFeb I saw little bleeding on finger and I saw a dog behind me so I think he may have bit me.So as you said vaccination day 0,3,7,28 would be considered preexposure vaccination.And my day 14 dose was not proper according to me should I take two more doses as booster and please provide the dates on when should I take it.

1. as per your history there is no requirement of further dose of ARV
2. ARV taken before the appearance of symptoms usually provide hundred percent protection from rabies. So you are completely safe. 👍
3. One should not interchange the brands. However, in unavoidable situation brands can be interchanged.

What is the correct time for doing anti body test (Rffit)I have received 3 doses last year and this year i have received 3 doses 5 days ago I have to take 2 more doses but I am feeling too much anxiety so I want to do it If I want to do it when should I do it?
after completion of course only, you can go for RFFIT .... at least 2 weeks gap is required after completion

Hi sir, i have question regarding rabies vaccine. Chemist didn't have stock of rabies vaccine. So he went to distributor and bring in box with single ice pack and he kept in scooter dicky. Now i worry that due to heat of engine, it may impact efficiency of rabies vaccine. Do i require to repeat the does? Also temperature was 34 degree Celsius

Sir , mera kal arv ka dosage complete hua lekin is beech mere lower legs pr red rashes aagye hain aur hairfall bhi badh gya h , kya ye injection ki vajh se kuch reaction hua h? Aur vaccine effect to degi na agr body me uski vajh se koi reaction ya allergy hui ho?
kabhi kabhi kuch minor sa side effect ho sakta hai.
lekin ye aapke antibody response ko hamper nahi karega....

0 3 7 is not sufficient to qualify for pre exposure.
in addition 0 3 7 is incomplete as post exposure.
in both the situations, day 28 is required.

I am a feeder and keep coming in contact with dogs. I recently got bitten by dog mum while protecting her children while I was trying to to feed them
I took my vaccination n all was ok in a month that dog died due to rabies may be she got bitten by other dog someday.
I have been feeling her pups from a month now and since they have sharp teeth while feeding they mistakenly bit my finger a little like a needle prick.. so should I get antirabies again if yes how many vaccines
in your case, only two doses are required on day 03 as re-exposure prophylaxis .

Hello sir, mere bete ne 3 saal pehele complete course kar chuka hai. 5 dose (im.). Ab phir se re - exposure hua hai. To doctor ne ushe 0 , 7, 14 , 28 day par ( i m) arv vaccine lene ko bola. 4 dose le liya. Kya ye sahi hai. Agar nehi hai to kya korna chahiye. Plz reply sir.

This topic requires one on one discussion as lots of loopholes are there with this protocol which was given in 2018 by WHO Position Paper. Today in 2024 still we are blindly following the same whereas NRCP clearly mentions IRRESPECTIVE of TIME PERIOD. Above all CDC says - re exposure prophylaxis is required in all of them who test positive 0.5IU/ml neutralising antibodies.
Now, the question arises - since the neutralising antibodies peak at 14th day of completion of ARV...
1.if you have completed ARV yesterday, and again fresh bite occurs today then what? your neutralising antibodies have not yet reached a peak (it peaks after 14 days). should you go for re vaccination??????
2.in case of fresh bite on 30th day or 98th day, the neutralising antibodies will remain more than 0.5IU/ml then why on 98th day vaccination is required and not on 30th day (according to WHO). even after 3 years the antibodies will remain more than 0.5 IU/ml then why 90 days cut off is there. It makes no sense at all.
That's why CDC considers RE EXPOSURE PROPHYLAXIS in all of them who measures more than 0.5IU/ml and FULL COURSE in them who measures less than 0.5IU/ml. There is no time gap formula at all.

sir on 19 Jan a dog was running behind me on scooty,i felt a pinch for 1-2 seconds next day I checked I saw redness there and ak bohot chota sa ghav tha jisme skin ki upper layer kat gai thi but deep ni tha oor bohot chota tha ab wo heel hogya ha scar ha.I started vaccination on 22nd Janand on that day i saw a scratch on my leg on different side that was little big but looked like a scratch that had a crotch on it .I had taken my first dose on 22nd Jan and today was my 4th dose i didn't took immunoglobulin but had taken 3 doses in 2021 and 3 in 2023 too but on day (0,3,7).I don't know about dog as I didn't see him at night.Should I feel safe and what should I do.I am thinking too much.

Can there be health complications if someone has taken 5 doses of abhayrab which is completed on 19 fabruary 2024 and he starts taking 5 doses again from March 2024.
there is no need to take the full course again.
however, extra doses are not going to harm you adversely, but excess of anything can be dangerous ...
so it's better to avoid extra doses ....

A pet dog scratched me with its nail with very very negligible amount of blood visible. I started the vaccination.
On the day of my 3rd dose the pharmacist kept the vaccine out of fridge for around 30 min before reconstitution . Because he was attending some other patients.Total I've completed 5 dose.So is there any issue ? Sir, I had 2 category III wounds by an unknown street dog on my right hand palm. The hospital gave me HRIG and thrabis vaccine (G protein) along with tetnus on day 0. I underwent a surgery (light stitches and wound cleaning) on day 2 but on day 03, the hospital ACCIDENTALLY GAVE ME another dose of full HRIG saying that this is vaccine. that injection wasn't anti rabies vaccine, it was HRIG. On day 07, I got to know the problem and immediately got my second shot on day 07. The third dose of vaccine I got on day 10. Doctors said G protein vaccine only requires 3 shots in total unlike other vaccines. I'm worried sir. Please guide! Will this another dose of HRIG on day 03 will be a problem or the missed dose of vaccine on day 03 will be problematic?? 😢
1. since you have taken second dose of HRIG before the second dose of ARV, you are safe 👍
2. delay of few days is acceptable during ARV course, so you are safe 👍

Sir i have completed my rabies vaccine re exposure booster dose a week before. Now yesterday when i was parking my motorcycle a dog was laying near my right leg. And suddenly he started barking near me. But i can't experience any type of bite. I can't feel any pain of bite. But when i reached home i saw a small cut on my left side of right leg. But The dog was slept on my right side . The cut also seems too old and very small. So i don't think it's a dog bite Sir should i go for the rabies vaccine or it is not the dog bite .. Please help me sir....

Hello Sir, There is a stray puppy who is not well and is not able to open his mouth, drooling a alot. Not sure if its rabies or not but he is not vaccinated. I was taking him to vet and another stray dog attacked us, during this i got a little scratch on my hand. Not sure who did it - the pup who is unwell or the other dog who attacked. But there was a little blood on my scratched area. Since the puppy was drooling alot, i am worried that his saliva might have touched my wound. Its been 2 hours now, Can i take the post-bite vaccine shots tomorrow

Sir i had taken 3 doses of rabies in 2021
2 doses in 2023( I was bitten at that time)
I didn't took immunoglobulin in 2021 and 2023.
Now on 19 Jan 2024 I was bit again there was a redness don't know about blood and I started my vaccinaton from 22nd Jan now there is a mark(eschar)that looks small, so do i need to take immunoglobulin this time or should i take only 5 vaccines .pls explain in detail I am in too much anxiety
