This is so true!!!!! I’ve learned about a cool library and I’ve been going to the library a lot because of AP season. Every. single. person. there is locked in and working hard on their stuff (body doubling) and I always start with my easiest homework (Build momentum). They also have HUGEEEEE windows so I can see the sun set (Visual timer) and my body kinda knows now that after the suns been set for 20+ minutes (+ if I need more time) I’ll be done and get to go home.

Thank you for this pep talk and reminder to be nice to ourselves. Im trying to treat myself like my friend. I've come up with a motivation hack that has worked better than anything I've tried and it relates to using my people pleasing skills to please this 3rd person which is future self vs past self vs current self. Now current me yells at past me so much less and when I do something for future me. I say to her you're welcome future me. I know it's weird but it's working much better and now I can usually find my keys thanks to past me. 🎉 ❤
I wish I could be better like you are... I know that sounds stupid but it really is true. I have hated myself for so long and it is just more and more all of the time. Sjögren's, then hospitalization, now Autism... ugh... Thank you for your video though. It is just nice to watch you.
Wow. I didn't realise it's this,. such a jewel after over a year of thinking that I learnt what is there to find out. But we're not omniscient in case someone doubts that, and it hides in plain sight.
I'm a larger guy. Not sure the number at the moment, but over 300lbs for sure. I've struggled with weight loss my whole life. In my mind, shaming myself for not fixing myself yet is important. Especially when my motivation is riding on empty. I've been going to the gym every day for a bit over a week now. Now, I've done this several times before. But, when I diet alongside it, I have one or two bad days, or weigh myself to disappointing results, and I fall off of everything at once. This time, I'm gonna try to count the calories, sure, but only weigh myself once a month. My point in this is basically, some people need it. I make no excuses toward it being healthy. It's not mentally healthy at all. But if I can look in the mirror one day without being disgusted? Beating myself up will be way worth it.
