The best solution is to try on the jackets you're interested in with versatile base layers to see if you should size up, down, or stay on track with that style/cut/brand of jacket
The last look literally blew my mind! The leather pants were the clincher above and beyond the show stopping overcoat! I’m here for that look in every way possible. I want to rock that and oh yes… I will.
@@Crafty.Goth.Creations Rule 4 there should only be two models on the runway at a time. Rule 8 if this is your first time at fashion club, you better dress up.
I've been watching your videos for quite some time now. I honestly don't know who you are as a family man or is a human being but I get a good sense of it from your videos. You have found your place in life and please don't stop doing what you're doing.
Great advice!! I have found, sometimes, that when layering multiple items under a jacket, sometimes it caaaan get a little tight. But buying it for the most expected use I think is great.
i feel like it depends a lot on the clothes' own cutting too. Like, i could wear size S in Levis type 3, but if i wear it on top of a size S Uniqlo U airsim, the airsim is a bit of an ocersize fit so it gets really uncomfortable around the armpit like that, or when i wear a reverse weave champion hoodie, i need to wear a size XS to layer something on top, otherwise i can pretty much only wear huge coat or hard shells
I think this question is more about layering jackets together? Because obviously, a jacket will fit together over a shirt without any size shenanigans.
Same really applies as long as none of your pieces are oversized. Shirt, vest, jacket, trench, overcoat. Hell, do a cloak on top of it all… it should work if all pieces actually fit to begin with.
I so agree with clemclemclem...the Cat King was such a hunk...as you always are, but I got such a chuckle at that Cat King outfit. His coat had to be faux, too, because, he wouldn't wear anything with REAL fur... honestly!
Sizing can unfortunately be a bit brand dependent, or some peices just come out larger or smaller than normal. If you can get measurements, I usually look for tops in a range, with close to the body stuff like a vest or tank being a couple inches smaller than a sweater, and a topcoat or outer outer layers maybe up to 4 inches larger than inner wear
Just wanted to mention that this mainly applies to "normal" fashion when worn as intended. Some modifications can accidentally change the way clithing fits. So punx, go a size up when buying a potential battle jacket. This goes double if you plan to keep the sleeves, because tight sleeves on top of looser sleeves are a sensory *nightmare*
I definitely have my “layering” jacket and my “solo” jacket. I’m a California boy, but sometimes I have to walk to work when it’s in the 30s and 40s, so I have a roomier jacket that I can layer a thermal and another zip jacket underneath. But on a 60 degree day, it’s overkill, so I have other, more fitted jackets
Yeah, I think this advice works if you're doing pretty minimal layering, thin sweater + coat, as seen here. But if you're wearing a bulky sweater or cardigan + base layers then this advice isn't super practical. You won't be able to put your arms down. Everyone I know who lives in cold climates has to size up
I absolutely loved that first outfit. I'm trying to help my husband elevate his style, which is like your first outfit. I introduced him to your channel and he's loving it 👍
Two things, I definitely agree with this. I just kind of learned this in the last few years, but yes the garment manufacturers understand. And secondly, I got to have that full-length faux fur, I'm positive I will rock it.
And for ladies specifically, when you are shopping for men do not be fooled by "how big it looks on the hanger." If a man tells you they wear a size large, get them that size. 90% of the time when you size down because it looked big on the hanger, you will be brining it back.
So curious if you ever give tips/strategies for hair to be on point like yours always is. (Im not a stylist, but my mom is and she would say if she saw you... "He's got a good head of hair." ) Big fan in Santa Barbara Calif.
Not with winter coats. Same size sweater/sweatshirt and coat (2X) and the armscye and sleeves are too snug. Maybe because none of my clothes are made in the U.S. or they’re all bought at Walmart or Fleetfarm?
Yeah. Don't know about menswear, but for me, arms and armscye's being too tight is definitely an issue, when I wear a slightly more bulky (winter appropriate) sweater under a coat. You would think, that winter coats account for this, but ...
I keep sending your dress ideas to my Hubby. He's an 80s kid into the outdoors. Green troos, Green tee, Green shirt, boots. Last time he wore a tie was 25 years ago at his dad's funeral. I don't think I'm going to change his fashion mind set. Love him hugely tho, whatever he wears! 😆 Would LOVE to see him dressy dressed tho. I'm saving up your ideas just in case he ever wants to dress up! Love your ideas!
I have been watching a lot of your videos and I really "have a thing" for men's fashion. It my be a cultural thing (Germany here) but IMHO you tend to prefer a very snug fit for your jackets. Your great muscles... 😎
Parker, please comb and spritz some conditioner on your faux. It's starting to get matted. Regular combing can bring it back to looking new, and prolong its life. Once the mats get too matted, there's no combing them out anymore.
Do male members of the Vanderlinde gang from Red dead redemption 2 in modern versions of their clothing. I'll make this request for a whole year if I have to. I wanna see this BADLY.
That last jacket combo is giving major KENERGY ✨
like its so cunty with the glasses and the heeled boots i love it
thought so too
Parker in a parka
That last outfit looked straight out of Zoolander!! I mean that in the nicest way possible!! You can throw an outfit together awesomely!!!❤
Haha big compliment
What was that?? A compliment for ants???
I thought it screamed 70s pimp 😂😂😂
He can’t help it…he’s just really really ridiculously good looking.
For me it was giving Ken. ❤ @@ParkerYorkSmith

Orange mocha frappacinos!

The fur is so Ken meets Tyler Durden
Totally
It's more like goth meets glam ✨️
I had this exact thought, too!

I love how you’re always extra… in the best possible way 👏💜💕
Love your content 😅💯 blessings for you and your family!
Thanks!
That fur jacket look was amazing. I hope you have some place you can actually wear that to because it looks awesome 😃
Great advice!! I have found, sometimes, that when layering multiple items under a jacket, sometimes it caaaan get a little tight. But buying it for the most expected use I think is great.
Ya, I think it depends on the jacket and the make... I've had to size up quite a few times because they make women's clothes to fit tighter.
The ultimate ZADDY 😊❤ you're a LEGEND ❤
Last outfit goes hard. It’s got the energy we all need for 2025
You look fabulous in the fur overcoat. straight from a Hollywood red carpet.
Can you do old money outfit with black blazer under budget, please do it and upload before 26!❤ Counting on your Parker!
Your hair looks extra awesome in this video.
Love your Billy Reid jacket. Always support local!
That last outfit reminded me of John Lennon on the rooftop concert, so sick
Thanks!

Yeah that’s fair
Dang those platform boots are awesome! Last outfit was killsr
The only problem is that size L of one brand is different than size L of another brand

bring back cloaks! 😂
I'm just Ken! 🎶
Yes! Fit makes a gigantic difference and you showed some great examples. And the pimp coat made me laugh 🤣
The fur jacket is awesome

THAT LAST OUTFIT ROCKS!
That last outfit put a smile on my face thanks dude 😁
That casio ring goes hard.

This is definitely for sure not always the case. Depends your build. I need a large or extra large jacket and a medium to large shirt.
I definitely have my “layering” jacket and my “solo” jacket.

Love the rock star look!!! ❤❤❤
The Tyler Durden one is fire 🔥😄
You should do a vid on how certain pieces (like a jacket) should fit, and how to figure out what a good fit looks like.
Omg that last faux fur outfit was giving RED. CARPET. VIBES. 😍
I liked the cropped jacket look when done right.
Love you in that faux❤
Great point ❤
Love your videos. You're amazing.
you should look up the character The Cat King from Netflix’s “Dead Boy Detectives” - that last outfit reminds me of one of his costumes 👏🏻🩵
Nice!
I must know where you got that fur jacket. I need it in my life!!! ❤ You have such great style!

The platform heeled Chelsea boot is such a great vibe with the "genuine teddy bear" coat and leather pants
Thank you!
Oh, that faux fur jacket is stunning! 🖤
Craven the hunter inspired outfit would be so sick. Love the content btw
Is that the MM6 T80 ring watch?
Oh man! I wanted one of those. Sold out in minutes 🤣🤣🤣
All scalpers now.
Yup!
@ParkerYorkSmith the level of envy 🤣

Holy shit you look amazing in that last outfit

That last fit reminded me of Tyler Durton😂, and love all of your content, it is very inspirational!
You should do a video on styling fur coats next!
The only exception to this is overcoats. They are almost always a size up from your suit jacket.
Do you use sometimes suspenders ??
I do t like them
@ really? I think it s more elegant than a belt with a suit.
Last outfit is fire
Please do
Navy suit with orange shirt
Hey Parker, have you ever tried wearing a 3 piece suit where each piece is a completely different colour? Extra points if the colours contrast.
Thanks for this post. I've been looking for mob boss outfit inspos lately
Uniqlo coming in clutch again! Question have you tried their $99 cashmere men’s sweaters? Looking to grab one and not sure about quality vs price!
Not yet but love their stuff
@ yup their stuff is great! Thank you for all the great content you put out! Has inspired me to try and “elevate” my wardrobe! One step at a time!
How to style a Grey Blazer for my school farewell party. Pls help
You look fantastic being a bit extra thank you!
I'm actually here fairly early for once lol
Found your videos recently and I love them, you are such a great person ❤️
Thanks!
@ParkerYorkSmith wow thanks so much for replying. Even though I'm a woman, your tips have still come in useful, thank you 🙏
Luv your videos it's like when I was a kid n played dress up.🎉🎉🎉🎉
I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THE LAST COAT WITH THOSE BOOTS. ✨ICONIC✨
Such a cool cat 🤓😻
He looked like a mafia boss in the last one 😅
Gay mafia?
The last vibe was movie star i couldn't do it but more power to ya 😊😅
The last fur coat is definitely giving the "Patriarch Ken" 😂❤
This guy can wear anything, and it looks good. That last outfit is bold af, but I can’t deny it looks awesome.

What s your most expensive suit and can you show us
Where’s the jacket from the second outfit from ? The brown one ! It’s so nice ! And such cool outfits !
that last outfit was 100% ryan gosling's Ken
Sizing is SO variable, I don't know how reliable this is. Your-mileage-may-vary seems a safer assumption
I only buy bigger if it's solely for warmth. I live in Nebraska, our winters yo-yo drastically, so you need clothes for cold and for below freezing.
What do you think about combining a blazer with a zip polo for a casual walk outside?
Gaux or teal, you look great
You are a VERY good looking fella.
So worth it to get professionally tailored.
Wear, what feels nice, I approve!
Indeed
What are your thoughts on Peter Millar?
And how can you tell an item is authentic?
Did not expect the diva at the end 😂 pulling off leather pants like a pro
Is that the casio ring-watch? Such a crazy item.
What about an overcoat that is over a blazer
