I use this on a 50mph Flux RX and a 70mph Muraco. It works brilliantly. the gyro is spot on. the battery voltage feedback is really useful and the RSSI is great for 700m speed runs. you have to set the power specifically to AA in the menu if using AA's. Also you have to use 1.5V non rechargeable rather than 1.2V rechargeable NiMh. I use 18650 and 800mAh 2S. It lasts for hours. I asked Rlaarlo if it binds with HotRC receivers and they did not answer so I guess it does. It is just a HotRC CT-8A with a different badge. Added a metal wheel and it is perfect for me. UPDATE: Rlaarlo say it does not bind with HotRC receivers...
Nice dude! I thought it was a great radio. I definitely should have read the user manual better, however I just assumed it would work haha 😄 my bad! Thanks for watch!
Nice review seems like a good little package nice work Matty might have to leave links for a battery and some receivers or will it bind to any existing receiver if you have the bind plug 👊
@@dazofthemoo1531 I did that on mine, but still had the same issue. Lol of course I referred to the manual. Thank you though. Also, I don’t have the Rlaarlo branded version I have hotrc branded I know it’s the same thing, but could possibly be some differences
Good radio for sure and great value for the money. Perfect for people who dont want to invest in something like the MT12 by radiomaster which is my go to!
@@MatthewSimm oh I think it’s a winner for sure man the best thing for me is the 4 in 1 multi protocol. Even binds to dumbo receivers, I have almost all my trucks on it now and I love the edgetx operating system which is ultra customisable! Epic radio man couldn’t recommend it enough
Shelf spaces are looking on point mate! I do have this radio and bought some extras receivers but had not had anytime to put one in a car or even put batteries in the remote 🤣🤦🏻♂️😑 Cheers mate
That transmitter has a known issue with the soldering of the AA battery box, causing poor connection resulting in battery full power not getting into the transmitter. You'll notice how the TX voltage was 5.5 volts, whereas with fresh AA batteries, voltage should be as high as 6.6 volts (1.6 volts per cell) This is what causes unit to shut down. For reliability use 18650 or 2s lipo.
$40 for a radio that turns of after 5 min i say no not a radio for my liking. got a flysky gt5 and futaba 3pv. gt5 for my slash where i can use the gyro function if needed and 3pv for the race buggy.
I run it and even in my competition cars now. It works great. Also if you had indeed did reed the manual you would have known it is setup for 2s battery. If you want to use it on AA you havevto change that in settings 😉. Now you did hit lvc because this radio shuts the cat down when the batt is empty. So no glitch, just wrong using

hello man curious what type of metal wheel did you put on your CT-8A? looking for one as well
Is this better than the Dumborc 350 ?
Good question dude! I'll try get one to test 😀
Looks a nice product. Does it come in a lefty friendly version?
Not that I know of sorry 😞

That's for the recommendation bro! I'll get into it soon! 😀
does this radio simulate a usb joystick when plugged on computer od does the usb C only for chargin the 18650 battery ?
Boa tarde. O receiver suporta lipo 2s?
does it have a timer ?
Love the extension for you thumb. But..... why are all these pistol grip controllers left handed?
It really must be frustrating dude. I feel sorry for the left handed people put there!
Do y have a link
Good to see you back mate
Appreciate it mate 😀
@@MatthewSimm gotta support the fellow aussie 😁
@kaosr.c someone has too haha 😄
Does it work with DumboRC receivers?
Not sure sorry
I had the same issue some reason AA batteries don’t wanna work with it
You need to change the settings to run on AA's
Default setting is 2s.
Refer to manual.
need to be non rechargeable (1.5V v 1.2V for rechargeable NiMh)

AA only worked for 30-40 mins for me, had to use a FTX Tracer 1/16 lipo worked good.
A good radio, but something they should fix for sure! 😀
I did the same thing a little 380mah 2s lipo
Check & change settings for AA's. Default is 2s. Refer to manual.

Thanks dude! I've seen the mt12, what do you think of it compared to the nb4?

I might need to look at getting one, I'm happy with my noble at the moment, the power bank comes in handy when I forget to charge my gps hahaha 😆
As of June 2024 - 404 error-unavailable 😒

Me neither. Soon.
I totally understand! Life gets busy. But that allows us to look forward to doing the things we enjoy 😀

According to some users, it is a setting in the menu I needed to adjust if I wanted to use AA Batteries 🔋 as it's defaulted to a 2s lipo.
@@MatthewSimm ok then its a minor problem if ita a setting
It looks like Rlaarlo pulled it... bummer.
plz review Dumborc 350 mate :D
Any idea how this compares to the new 10 channel Dumbo RC transmitter, with the colour LED screen?
Happy New Year. 😎🤘🏻
No idea right now sorry dude! I'll try get one soon to compare 😀
@@MatthewSimm brilliant, cheers. Not seen anyone do a side by side comparison yet. 👍🏻
I really dont think anyone needs that cheap radio. Exo had issues. Hard pass. Thanks for giving your honest opinion... lol 😆
