@DoRC I would probably add on that module so it has both. I have only 5 rigs but all have different receivers and the mini-z is a hard one to work with.

With all these decent rtr radios with avc ect are you really going to put more than 8 rcs on a 40 $ radio even if it is amazing for the money . I still like the tactic radio , you’re very knowledgeable I just realized the springs do wear out comparing tension in my radios , I wouldn’t of known if I didn’t compare 2 same radios
Honestly no most people will not put more than eight cars on a single remote but it's still is annoying that they put that limitation in there. It would cost them exactly $0 to make that 50 cars and if someone doesn't use the additional car is no big deal but if someone does want more than eight cars it's a problem that they didn't do it.
Yeah sorry. Normally I have a pretty good idea on what to recommend but at least in my fairly limited experience with them I didn't really find much reason to make a strong recommendation for one over the other.
There's a menu called trimming. You can adjust the trim of the channels in there. It's a little bit annoying that you have to go into a menu but it's not that big of a deal
First of all that body looks amazing with the paint job on the MT 410. This is the transmitter I was waiting for. Affordable and high-performing. I don’t think anything at that price point can compare. You would have to spend I would say about $80 for something similar.
@@Adubbs87 I saw your email very glad you got the other problem figured out. In general I know how to set endpoints but I don't have that transmitter anymore so I'm not sure how to do it with that specific one.
Was just about to switch things to flysky G7P with R7V (gyro enabled receiver). Both TX and RX are double Rlaarlo price. Open to opinions… Also, is there a gyro control setting?
Yes you fully control the gyro from the transmitter including turning it on and off and sensitivity. As long as you don't have a need for a camera mount I think that this is a better option than the G7P. G7P is my daily driver just because it has really good first party phone mount but it's kind of a clunky interface and not really anything special. I do like the four-channel internal antenna receivers that You can get for it though.
@@DoRC accidentally replied to myself instead of you. Don’t know if youll see the comment. Can you adjust expo, gain, linearity for throttle and servo, etc? Agree g7p is clunky and confusing but allows a lot of customization. Training mode also seems great with a long enough usb cord (have a 4 y/o).
I would say the screen makes it inherently quite a bit better than the Traxxas transmitter as it's easier to adjust settings. Whether or not it's better than a spectrum transmitter really depends on which transmitter you're referring to. It's going to be better than the RTR transmitters cuz it has a ton of adjustments and again the screen but some of the more advanced spectrum transmitters are pretty good as well.
I don't remember exactly what menu it's in but you have to actually drill down into a menu to do it. There's no dedicated switches on the transmitter for it unfortunately.
Unfortunately it doesn't. If you get the alloy version you'll get the same transmitter that they use with pretty much all their other vehicles. If you get the carbon fiber version you'll get the CT6A
@@DoRC ah, thank you very much for the clarification. Will you be able to use this ct8a transmitter with them (especially the Carbon Fiber version) though?
I'd say they're pretty similar. I think the interface on this one's a bit better and more user friendly. This one also has the trigger adjustability that the Dumbo RC does not. That being said the Dumbo RC will probably be easier to get receivers for.
@user-ql6dm8xh6q Not really. The internal gyro will perform the exact same function as an external gyro. It's possible depending on what external dryer you get that it might be more adjustable but most gyros really only have gain adjustment and this has that so generally speaking there won't be any practical difference
I wonder if it works with Dumbo RC receivers. Also how is it compared to a dumbo RC, they are in the same price range. Screen is not so important for me.
I'd say they're fairly similar in features and functionality. I think the interface on this one's a little bit better. I don't think it's going to be compatible with Dumbo RC. This is made by hot RC and they have their own receivers that don't appear to be similar. I'm fairly certain this will be compatible with all hot RC receivers though.
@@DoRC Thank you for your answer. I am waiting for an Rlaarlo AK-787, and it's transmiter looks a lot like dumbos. Although this transmiter is diferrent than the stock ones. When I receive it I will make a test to see if a dumbo receiver works with the stock rlaarlo controler. I like the gyro that dumbo provides.
Dumbo is actually radio link not fly sky and this is branded hot RC. Hot RCU makes other transmitters and receivers that don't appear to be radio link or Dumbo related. I'm assuming this will be compatible with those but I don't think it'll be compatible with the Dumbo receivers. Based on my testing the range is as good as you could want it to be. I lost sight of my car and still had reception with the antenna stuffed in the receiver box
I did not use AA batteries but I expect it to work just fine. Trim is fairly straightforward. You just have to drill down into a menu in order to get to it. It's really not a big deal it's just odd given that every other transmitter I've ever had didn't require that. I did briefly try the gyro and it seems to work fine. It is programmable from the transmitter.
Anyone used one on a Nitro yet? I got one & thinking about getting a few parts & getting my nitro up & running as well. Getting another one as cheap & nitro gets on controller & stinks. Unsure if there is just plug in batt pack in any/or other channel on RX & go like on others? Manual doesn't really mention nitro batt packs.
@@DoRC Did look in to it, no word about connecting to a computer, only about the usb trainer mode, I'm going to have to find another solution. Looks like a good controller, too bad. thx anyway.
Yeah eight models is probably enough for most people but again it's just one of those silly artificial limitations that I don't know why manufacturers are still doing. The memory in that transmitter can probably handle a thousand models without any trouble whatsoever.
@@DoRC landscape looked familiar. I’m in southwest fla. I have a fledgling channel. Not near as polished as yours. But it’s a start. I subscribe. Keep the great content coming.
I don't know exactly but farther than you'll want to go. I drove out until I couldn't see my car well enough to be able to tell which direction it was pointing and even though my antennas were inside the box not outside I still had decent signal.
Generally yes. I'm not entirely certain about this transmitter but a lot of transmitters actually can bind to an unlimited number of vehicles and the model memory just changes the settings in the transmitter but for practical purposes yes 8 is the limit
@DoRC Sorry for the questions. But just to be clear you could get this controller. And bind them up to 8 different rigs. And just select which rig you want to control and not have to have a controller for each rig. Rather just use this one for all 8? Also can you use the stock reciever? And the controller will bind to it? Or do you need to buy individual recievers for each rig you want to bind?
@@edwinlomonaco6754 Yes this controller can control eight different vehicles. It is not compatible with most stock receivers so you will need to buy a receiver for each vehicle. It's made by hot RC so hot RC receivers should work. If you're looking for a transmitter that will control the stock receivers the new radio master MT-12 with the four in one module has compatibility with most stock receivers.

Thanks for the excellent video! Always love your review videos!
Would you recommend this over the dumborc ddf-350?
I'm not sure I'd really recommend one over the other. They both seem pretty comparable to me.
@@DoRC 😂 makes purchasing a new controller so much easier! Great reviews though!
Yeah sorry. Normally I have a pretty good idea on what to recommend but at least in my fairly limited experience with them I didn't really find much reason to make a strong recommendation for one over the other.
@@DoRC It’s all good! I picked up an LDARC CT01 and it’s good but the receivers are expensive compared to DumboRC!
Hello, how do I adjust the steering on the transmitter? The car doesn't drive straight. Thanks
There's a menu called trimming. You can adjust the trim of the channels in there. It's a little bit annoying that you have to go into a menu but it's not that big of a deal
Bro I got the transmitter when they release omg is such a badass thing for the price
Where from
@seancollins5162 If you Google the model number you'll be able to find it.
Yeah it's pretty sweet.
@@DoRC bro do you know the torque specs on the new arrma big rock servo
@kj4x4couple7 270 oz in
First of all that body looks amazing with the paint job on the MT 410. This is the transmitter I was waiting for. Affordable and high-performing. I don’t think anything at that price point can compare. You would have to spend I would say about $80 for something similar.
Yeah it's definitely a good deal.
@@DoRC do you know how to set endpoints?
@@Adubbs87 I saw your email very glad you got the other problem figured out. In general I know how to set endpoints but I don't have that transmitter anymore so I'm not sure how to do it with that specific one.
I couldn’t figure out endpoints or if there is a dual rate for steering if you wanted to use this for speed runs
@Adubbs87 oh wait hang on I actually do still have this transmitter. I was thinking it was a different one. Give me a minute I'll take a look
Was just about to switch things to flysky G7P with R7V (gyro enabled receiver). Both TX and RX are double Rlaarlo price. Open to opinions…
Also, is there a gyro control setting?
Yes you fully control the gyro from the transmitter including turning it on and off and sensitivity. As long as you don't have a need for a camera mount I think that this is a better option than the G7P. G7P is my daily driver just because it has really good first party phone mount but it's kind of a clunky interface and not really anything special. I do like the four-channel internal antenna receivers that You can get for it though.
Can you adjust expo, gain, linearity for throttle and servo, etc? Agree g7p is clunky and confusing but allows a lot of customization
@@Nutz_forRCs Yes it has all of the expected customizations.
Awesome. Thanks!
Great vid! How much better is it than Traxxas and specktrum rtr transmitters?
I would say the screen makes it inherently quite a bit better than the Traxxas transmitter as it's easier to adjust settings. Whether or not it's better than a spectrum transmitter really depends on which transmitter you're referring to. It's going to be better than the RTR transmitters cuz it has a ton of adjustments and again the screen but some of the more advanced spectrum transmitters are pretty good as well.
I ordered it. Thanks for the great video.
Awesome! Let me know how you like it
Rlaarlo is a good company a rtr dual motor platform with plenty of upgrade potential i would go for it but i got the controller instead
Yeah they make some interesting products for sure. I've heard they've got something coming out fairly soon that I'm going to be very interested in!
How do you set steering trim ,throttle trim, wheel trim, etc
I don't remember exactly what menu it's in but you have to actually drill down into a menu to do it. There's no dedicated switches on the transmitter for it unfortunately.
it currently even has free shipping and 10% off so TX+RX $36 delivered
Nice!
Not bad for $40.... actually really nice at $40 💯
36 on the old site.
Yeah it's a heck of a deal right now.

32 on ali exprress its a dumbo
Can this be installed from China brand 1/14 scale RC truggy (HyperGo) and up to brand name such as Arrma Kraton 8s?
Yes. Anything that has a separate receiver Will work you'll just have to use a receiver that's compatible
Really hope this transmitter is going to come with the new rlaarlo omni Terminator 🤞
How does it compare with the dumbo ddf-350? Do you like one better?
I'd say they're pretty similar. I think the interface on this one's a bit better and more user friendly. This one also has the trigger adjustability that the Dumbo RC does not. That being said the Dumbo RC will probably be easier to get receivers for.
@@DoRC is there a downside to receiver/gyro vs a separate unit?
@TheMitsosBlog Yes the RTR transmitters are made by Dumbo RC and they are compatible.
@@DoRC Awesome!
Awesome review!
Thanks :-)
bro which lipo did you used? kindly list its model or specs
I don't specifically remember but I doubt it was the ideal one. I think I just used whatever I had on hand.
Looks like it’s made by FlySky/Dumbo.. hopefully it’s got better range than their original bulky transmitter they made for their buggies
Did you try it on aa batterys and is it had to use the trim, have you used the gyro, thanks.
So w/ each rc car , you need to install a Rlaarlo transmitter?
A matched receiver yes. This is true for pretty much all transmitters though.
You can actually just plug the battery pack into any channel. They're all on the same power bus.
@@DoRC thanks, that's what I was looking for.
hi, can you use the usb port as a joystick for vrc pro or simracing on a computer?
I'm not sure as I never tried. You might find it in the manual or could contact the manufacturer.
@@DoRC Did look in to it, no word about connecting to a computer, only about the usb trainer mode, I'm going to have to find another solution. Looks like a good controller, too bad. thx anyway.
@@Duupje Yeah that's a bummer.
Does it have a built-in failsafe for running nitros?
Yes it has full failsafe programming ability.
Only 8 model memory is a negative for sure, but otherwise seems like good value.
Yeah eight models is probably enough for most people but again it's just one of those silly artificial limitations that I don't know why manufacturers are still doing. The memory in that transmitter can probably handle a thousand models without any trouble whatsoever.
Dude!! I may buy one. Looks like a great value. Are you in FL?
Yes

Does the receiver has built in gyro?
Yes it does.
Are u able to change the electric beeping sound off when hitting the throttle using the this remote?
I don't remember there being a beep when you hit the throttle on this one.
@@DoRC not the remote but the car, so transmitters allow u change the beeping sound coming from the esc
@@Murphys_Law9 I've also never seen an ESC that beeped every time you hit the throttle. I'm sorry I'm just not sure what you're talking about.
@@DoRC Maybe i’m saying it wrong, im new to the hobby but appreciate it anyway thanks.
@@Murphys_Law9 Do you mean the kind of high-pitched whine that the motor makes under initial acceleration?
Do you know the maximum input voltage for the receiver?
Specified 3.7 to 9 volts
Thanks, anything’s a step up from Traxxas receivers
@IsaacSchultz-lz8jc definitely.
So how far was the range it can respond to
I don't know exactly but farther than you'll want to go. I drove out until I couldn't see my car well enough to be able to tell which direction it was pointing and even though my antennas were inside the box not outside I still had decent signal.
Is the amount of models mean it can bind to 8 different rc's?
@@DoRC Appreciate the info.
@@edwinlomonaco6754 No problem!

Hey I don't like to do links because they always end up getting changed and then what I post is invalid a month later. You should be able to Google it though.
What is the official site? Rlarro-rc or rlarro?
They are both official. They created a new site that was going to replace the old one from what I heard but then for some reason they have both of them up. I've noticed they seem to have some organizational difficulties.
aint no way looks so advanced compared to my dumbo.
Yeah it's got all the features for sure :-)
Isn't this just a rebranded hotrc ct8a? It's on sale on my country only under 20 dollars with reciever.
Pretty much.
How about the Gyro..??
I didn't really mess with it because I don't use a gyro and honestly forgot to put it in the video. Works fine though. You can turn it on and off from the transmitter and adjust the sensitivity etc directly from the transmitter.
@@DoRC thanks for the info and vid. Options like this are a good thing, if u ask me. So thanks

@@DoRC the 6 channel ones. I read everything they put on the site on both pages but no info on compatibility. I saw a video that those are made by dumbo rc. A simple sentence saying compatible with, would really help.

I found that video randomly watching other rlaarlo videos. If I had just looked at the ct-8a vids I would not have figured it out.
Again I understand that they're different brands so I'm not saying I expected them to work but if you're selling multiple receivers put a small sentence saying what it's compatible with.
