@@Vortez Hey, I am revisiting this to tell you I was able to grab a 3070 Master couple days ago (wish 3080 but scalpers are making prices ridiculous here in Canada). The 3070 I could buy at retail price =) I really liked the LCD panel on the side but this review was really useful to check all other details. Thanks again mate, your channel deserves more subs, keep it up with the good quality content and subs will eventually come.

just installed rev 3 - beast - running everything at ultra, ray tracing, 1440p - buttery smooth fps
Got same one rev 3 its beast. It was to much for my corsair AX760 now i got corsair HX1000
What's your average temp in ultra setting and rt on in heavy games?
@@imantb4223 the max I have hit as high 58C for a bit - that's with it undervolting a bit and adjusting the fan curve - at idle or when not playing games, around 28C-30C

Honestly, as an aussie - the 4 year warranty was what sold me on this card, it also has higher availability compared to a lot of others.
Same, actually was able to pick one up. That being said it sold out quickly but not in seconds like the rest.
@@vladthe3rd414 I made the mistake of waiting to see the 6800 xt...So I'm on a waitlist, lol. But yeah, 4 year warranty is a huge deal after my asus strix 1080ti died after 2.5 years.

Got the strix 3080 which is very similar to this card. It's a beast and highly recommend getting these suped up versions of the 3080 for better cooling and overclockingb over stock for sure.
Just note that the middle HDMI Port is 2.0 and not 2.1!!!

just curious. Was this tested on an open test bench ? Because in a closed case no way we would get around 60-65C. I have a Phanteks Enthoo pro with very good ventilation and airflow. During gaming, Ive never seen my master below 70c. What are your thoughts with the stock thermal paste ? I have heard that replacing the stock with good thermal paste like kryonaut reduces temps by about 5-8C. Could you please also test it after you had disassembled the card and applied fresh thermal paste ?
I'm using a 3080 master and don't see above 65 in a closed corsair 4000d

Just a heads up. Gigabytes "RGB con-fusion" is complete rubbish. If you change the LCD to display Temps/Clocks when you shutdown your PC it resets to the stock Aorus egg GIF which is ugly and irritating. Even when you have it set to display temps and clocks they're inaccurate. More often than not it just freezes on idle stats. This isn't an isolated issue, everyone is struggling with it. The only fix is a 26 step process that involves rolling back Nvidias drivers to 456.55. Crazy given the price they are charging for this thing.

If anyone here wondering about the capacitors on the back of the card they use full array of poscaps unlike the flagship Asus card.
Can someone point me in the right directions in terms of what CPU to pair with this beast? I have a 3600x right now, thinking I will probably need to upgrade. Will the AMD 5060 be good? Or am I gonna have to go up to a 5800? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks boys!

2000+ rpm in every test vs the 1100rpm of the 6800xt? Something tells me this card is only as good as it is loud. We need a noise normalised test to see the actual temp difference between this 3080 master and the 6800xt.
Acoustics test will be included in the web review as it always is. :)
@@Vortez That doesn't answer my question though. Noise normalised test means the fan rpms are kept identical for different cards to see the true temp results of two or more different cards. Your acoustic testing only shows out of the box results and the Aorus master matches the Db of the 6800xt but while having twice the rpm. Duplicate the same rpm on both cards and I bet the Aorus will run quiter but much hotter.
@@RipJawsX95 Well wouldn't that be "fan RPM normalized" testing then? The fans installed across the various models can vary widely with different sized blades, different blade pitches, shapes, shrouds etc. One kind of fan spinning at say 1200 RPM could push as much air as a faster fan, at a lower sound db level. If you're testing thermals based on a set constant sound and performance metric, then the fan RPM shouldn't be a factor. If you're getting the performance at a set sound level, what difference does it make if the fan spins at 1,000 RPM, or 10,000 rpm? I see what you're getting at, but the two variables (performance and sound) that you're testing for are independent of the fan speed. Now if you were curious about testing the fan RPMs for maybe, fan life longevity? Then yes, you'd set the fan RPMs the same and see what difference in thermals and sound would be.

Good day and what type of capacitors are used in this product! if problems and departures at frequencies over 2000 MHz?
I have this GPU and its 2025mhz all the time. But if you tried to OC even 1mhz more it will crash 😂,,, other than that its quite cool in cooling and look 😂,,,, and didn't see it exceed 285 watt when playing 1440p ultra ultra presets.
Would i recommend it? No
I recommend that you get a card with 3 8Pin slots, as I feel it will preform much better than cards with 2 8pin

AN FYI. I own one of these cards and the software for the LCD is so broken its hilarious.

@@daboiah189 in general, it just can't find the card. Seems to happen with every game ready driver release. I've had it since mid November and only had it working correctly for maybe 3 - 4 days. You'll find plenty of posts on reddit etc discussing it with various fixes.
I should add though, that I'm still very happy with it, I just hate that default animation. It's like it's taunting me.
@@IrishFeangol Hard agree. I also have this card and god the software for the card is the absolute worse. Takes ages to upload a custom gif onto but then would replace it with default gif after computer restart. You’d think all those time uploading, it’d be uploaded to replace its default gif firmware but no. Hardware is amazing but not the software, huge headache.

This video is 3 weeks old and master now has revision 2.0 of this card with 3 8pin power connectors like xtreme. F*** gigabyte for selling me a card who they new was not sufficient enough with power. Now I have lower powered, capable card for the same price newer is launched. I'm so f***ing angry right thinking is my card not good enough, like literally have some kind of problem or what that they rushed the revision so fast.
Mine keeps crashing to desktop when playing games.
that is a faulty card had the same issue with a ventus returned it and getting the master instead

After many trys to play Cyberpunk 2077 on Max Settings the Game crasht everytime...i re-installed driver and Update BIOS and the Problem is still there...No plan what i have to do so mad...
downclock the gpu core by -50 mhz and you can play cyberpunk. had the same issue
