Here we are on another driveway cleaning job. This is probably the worst driveway we've been hired to clean this year. Lots of thick stemmed, mature weeds, that had clearly been growing between the blocks for a long time.
Unfortunately our Honda GX390 21lpm simply doesn't have enough power or flow to tackle weeds like this using a flat surface cleaner, so using the turbo nozzle was the only real option
We were very happy with the end finish, as was the customer, great result. On to the next one!

Just wanted to apologise to everyone for the excessive amount of subscribe prompts in this video. I normally include a couple in my videos, but I got a bit carried away when I found a load of new ones to use on a recent search. I know a lot of people have found them irritating and distracting, and I can completely understand why.
Rest assured - lesson learnt, I won't be doing that again.

Mesmerizing! Fantastic job you did for them. I know it's a lot of work, but there must be great satisfaction in being able to see such a dramatic improvement for your efforts. Almost magical how years of grunge and neglect just disappear with a wave of your wand. Great video angles too.

What a transformation!!!! I was amazed at how well that came up just after PW, let alone after the hypo. Thought you were never going to be able to rise it off :-) Was great to see all stages of the job. Certainly a good one to use in adverts - before and after shots!!!

Was gonna get the big boy 2 backpack? Also it’s the poles that I’m thinking which is best to get, I know it’s not worth going all out on the soft wash one if it’s got hypo going through it. I’m looking for best value really mate and then in the future invest in better gear. Appreciate any advice mate 👍🏼

Great result. I think I'd have been tempted to clean the top of that gas meter box too though. But I take it you stay clear just in case the water gets somewhere it shouldn't.
Hi Road User, thank you, you're very kind. I was tempted, and a lot of the time I will clean those for people. But the gas meter box was barely hanging on the wall, someone did a bit of a bodge job on it, I felt if I went anywhere near it, it would fall of the wall and i'd have to fix it, so I left it well alone 😆 👍

In an age such a this, I never expected the proper thing such as applying long-term weed killer and replacing the sand to happen. Happy to see something be completed to the correct extent instead of it being a blast and run.

Hey Paudie, yeah it amazes me how people let their drives get so bad. Costs them more in the long run. I would have charged less for this job if the weeds weren't this bad 👍 🙂.

@@AllyCreative Definitely more than a years growth in my experience, more like three or four. In some peoples eyes, to see a hard surface get that overgrown with weeds, in my opinion, is perfectly reasonable for them to consider that as being neglected.
Amazing! And the fresh sand really sets it off. Might want to share that weed killing step with the homeowners!!

Some Plumbers who use a hose and a power washer attachment at the end to unclog drain have a large attachment that can literally blow a 3 inch hole into half inch plywood

Beggars belief they obviously got the driveway done by professionals and that would have cost a few quid, how hard is it to weed and wash it down regularly, cracking job!!

Could i ask you a quick question please Nick; I am looking for some quick release nozzles to go at the end of my lance and bit confused what size to go for to do general cleaning like drive ways and decking ect. I already have a turbo nozzle 👍
Thanks Jason, yeah quite pleased with the end results on this one, there's something quite satisfying about blasting the crap out of huge weeds with a turbo nozzle, even if you do get covered in mess 🤣🙂👍
@@jasonwilliams4363 Yeah sure mate, if you've already got a turbo, then all you need now are the different degree fan nozzles, i personally only ever use 25's and 40's. But everyones different in what they prefer. Something like this might be good for you, as it comes with all the different jets you'd ever need, and you can just swap them over to which ever one you prefer. 👍

@@PrestigeExternalCleaning yeah thanks for this Nick and I’ve just had a quick look but just wasn’t sure about the number before the degree size 🤔 as I’m new to all this, so I’m looking at a 25° and a 40° as you recommend so if you could advise what number size prior to the degree size that would really help. Hope this makes sense. 🥴 I’ve got a like a vario Lance the one you can twist at the end to control the flow and that is a 15/05 nozzle which I find great rinsing down.

@@jasonwilliams4363 The number before the degree size relates to your pressure washer and its power and flow bud. It would be better to check with who ever you're buying the nozzles from, they'll no for sure.
But as you've already got 15/05 (15 is your degree, 05 is the orifice size that relates to your machine) I would say it's a safe bet that the number you need is 05, so 05/25 and 05/40. But I would check first with the supplier, just to make sure. 👍.

I hate all block paving cos they never tend to membrane layer protect underneath,so weeds aplenty come along.so much more of a pain in the bum jet washing all the weeds away only to then come back again with a vengeance.takes so much longer and so very dirty. Block paving jet washing is always the dirtiest aswell.

Some channel owners (with lawn mowing videos and pressure washing videos) eventually had a Patreon page/link to help you towards paying for those people who needed pressure washing done but couldn't afford it.
I think if you go around to some of the poorer areas or messier areas or a senior's home and do/video some driveways or sidewalks for them free, you'll get more views and more subscribers! It's to help those who can't afford it and to better the community. Thank you.

Gx200 with AR pump 150 bar at 15lpm 30meter of hose reel what do you think . I no people say you need 21lpm but I only do very little power washing
@@mazman8343 Hi Maz Man, if you're not doing a lot of pressure washing, then yeah, personally I think the GX200 pressure washer is perfectly adequate. 21lpm is only really needed if you're using it every day for medium to large domestic jobs. 👍.

Hi Lee, cheers buddy. It's just salt water mate with added fairy liquid to help it stick to the roots, seeds etc. There's not much that can grow in salty ground bud, works wonders 👍👍.

So..I only found these pressure washing videos no more than a month back...but you know you've watched too many of them (...well no such thing as too many :) ) when right at the beginning of the video, looking at the driveway to be done and seeing what it's like and predicting exactly every single step of the process before it happens all the way to the end.

Is there a specific weed killer you use/prefer? If you dont mind sharing?
Would it have been a little easier to weed wack before pressure washing? Or is pressure washing more effective if you don't wack the weeds first?
Thanks for your comment L.Shepard. I'm not sure that would make any difference, the weed wacker, or strimmer as they're more commonly known as here in the UK, would leave little stubby bits behind in the joints/gaps, and they'd still need to be removed. The pressure washer removes those little bits and cuts down the weeds with ease at the same time, so in my opinion it's more efficient to carry out the job this way. 👍 🙂.

Hi Anthony, thanks for subscribing, and great comments. What you've said about the subscribe prompts is fair and reasonable. I always put 2-3 in my videos, but did wonder if I went a bit overboard with the amount in this vid. So you've just confirmed it was too many 🙂.
I used a 3 part water to 1 part sodium hypochlorite (15%). You may need to re-apply if that doesn't completely shift it the first time around. Agitating it also helps 👍.
