You don't really have to worry about the backyard being messy. I don't know about English people, but here are a lot of people who don't see themselves as gardeners. I have seen a lot of neat gardens in your videos but actually the one here is on a level you see here a lot, quite some are even worse but still don't feel so bad. So this one's absolutely fine. I really like that you are so diligent in tackling black spot :) The gravel is fine as well. Things don't have to be even to look tidy. Also it really suits these kind of slabs.
Hey Tatjana, that's really interesting to hear, thank you for sharing that. Thanks for your super kind feedback too, I hope everything is good with you, see you next week ❤️
No need to speed up the "bucket and brush" part! Oh my goodness how satisfying that is to watch🤩 More of that please! Just another amazing video, thank you!
Wow! What a transformation that was. Love the perseverance, there's lots who would have given up! Excellent job buddy and I'm sure the lady was over the moon with the results. 👍👏
No judgement from me 😂 I have black fingers where gardeing is concerned. My home is instant death for any plant no matter how hard I try 😂😂 As for lawns etc well nowt I can do from a wheelchair anyway so 🤷. It looked beautiful by the time you finished with it so much better than I imagined it would. I am sure the customer is very happy with it and yes I think flowers would look lovely in that area for her 😊 Take care of you and your family Nick love and hugs from me and mine 🤗🤗
Huge improvement 👏 I think the grit suits those pavers. As for the green fences ... we'll let you off the hook Nick due to your persistence in getting those black spots off mate 😁 glad the sun was shining for you too
I like the look of the garden esp the swept in gravel!. I think wildflowers would look fab & go well with the style of the current look. Great job as always mate! 👍
❤ Nick ! A beautiful day to work in finally ! Very satisfying you getting a clean edge on those pavers. I like this one its different. Great job as always.
That is a deliberately "irregular" garden, with a slant towards a more natural look. I like that your paving cleaning is adding back walking safety and some needed brightening. The grit seems to be well-suited to this yard. Enjoying your determination to get rid of the Black Spot. The area around the old pond is already becoming so clean that it is quite cheery. This became an attractive Renewal, it will look very nice with the pond area planted in flowers.
They looked like ancient mill stones from when animals would walk in a circle and grind the grain. The big square hole in the center was for a large beam.
Welcome back Nick! Fantastic transformation and going way above and beyond as ever on those troublesome slabs. Thanks very much for the upload, have a great week :)
Love this! Came out great.the little former pond would look nice filled with gravel with statue or large ornamental pot or decorative stone in the center. Some people like working in gardens, some like sitting and enjoying gardens. This clients wants a garden to enjoy and relax in, and you have made it ready for them to relax and enjoy, like their own private park.❤
Nice job. So many others would not have treated it that many times to get those black spots off. That looks so much better! Looks like you finally had a nice sunny day too.
That was a fun one. I really liked that garden and the stone came out beautiful!! I liked the stone discs too. And that patio would be brilliant for a prarty. Stay safe Nick, Banisher of Blackspot. 😊
Fantastic job Nick. Even the York stone came up beautifully, eventually! Your dedication to the task is amazing - shows your professionalism and desire to do a great job for the customer. Hope you’re having a lovely week x
Hey Sir Nick. I think that garden came out nicely, yes ?? And the stone around the pool came out wonderful. And with some greenery and flowers, it will look grand !!
What a great transformation, will be lovely to sit outside and enjoy. I share your customers hated of gardening so zero judgement from me. Less weeding, more gin I think :)
I do love “proper” English gardens, however, without a team of yard workers, unreal! This is reality and I think it’s beautiful! A good edging and mow and it will be perfection! The grit is more pleasing to my eye for this style! Customer should be ecstatic! Great job oh STUBBORN Nick 😂❤
I must admit I was sceptical at the beginning about grit but actually this is one of my favourite uploads. You’ve totally nailed that. It looks like it’s just been built. That’s real affordable options for totally transforming a tired patio. I’m not usually stunned for words specially four letter ones but bro you nailed it. I think if we set you up with a old patio with edges of slabs sticking vertically up and the rest buried 3 feet in the ground you’d wave the mighty briggs and Stratton over it and bam job done. So relaxed now me young china😎 cheers Nick🤜
I agree with the others who say that was a true transformation. And while the pointing might have “looked prettier”, I think the gravel grit (?) is much better since it makes the hardscape permeable. The water can clear off the pavers and get down to the aquifer.
Great job Nick. You’re a man that takes pride in his work. Hard to come by these days. Question, what type of broom head do you use when applying the grit? Was that just a standard dust brush or something special for applying the grit? Best to you from the US.
Another satisfied customer I’m sure Nick, you were nothing if not determined with that York stone, I wonder if any other guy would have gone that far, I’m sure the lady will be encouraged to pretty that area up, now the stone work is so smart 👏👍
Have you considered getting an exo-brace for pointing jobs? They're made for gardening, but it should work a treat for pointing as well; there's one you strap onto your lower leg, can walk smoothly in, and it's designed to become a seat for you to kneel on, to take the bulk of the stress off your back and knees. They're not expensive, either. I only ask because I know you've spoken of how much pointing jobs hurt, and I'd prefer you to not be in pain~ Wonderful job; the stonework looks immeasurably better! And maybe it might have been a _little bit_ too much suds? But hey, the black spot is GONE. Not your fault with your Yorkstone Nemesis~
I was thinking about the houses in the UK, most of which are over 100 years old, correct? Plumbing and electrical added afterwards. This might make for terrible water pressure. The newer homes don’t seem to have that problem, unless I’m generalizing and it’s about location to water source?
So many people are way too judgmental these days, Nick. They think that their opinions are the only ones that matter and that THEIR gardens would NEVER be that bad, but I bet they'd be extremely ticked off if anyone didn't like theirs! Too many people have become armchair 'experts' and think they know it all. Well, that's just what they are - know-alls. Just like Mr You Don't Want To Do It Like That, à la Harry Enfield. Btw, has anyone ever told you that you're stubborn? 😂😂
Easiest way to deal with excess soap suds… sprinkle a little fine salt on the suds and they will dissolve away. Salt breaks the bubble surface tension and they pop. I once had a kitchen hand who squirted a heap of normal dishwashing liquid in the commercial dishwasher… we were hip deep in suds like a 90’s foam rave party 😂😂😂 Salt fixed it in no time
Nice job... I think there might be something wrong with your camera settings... it seemed so bright at times... or was this the one day of the year that England is allowed to have sunshine...?
I do believe our friend Nick is a stubborn man. The way you stuck with that black spot is quite something! Thank you for another quality video. 😊
😆 so my wife tells me 😍

Hey Tatjana, that's really interesting to hear, thank you for sharing that. Thanks for your super kind feedback too, I hope everything is good with you, see you next week ❤️
Loved that you offered an alternative (and cheaper) solution with the grit. I think it looks amazing! 🎉 Amazing work as always! 👍
So kind of you, thanks Caroline 😍
No need to speed up the "bucket and brush" part! Oh my goodness how satisfying that is to watch🤩 More of that please!
Just another amazing video, thank you!
Wow! What a transformation that was. Love the perseverance, there's lots who would have given up! Excellent job buddy and I'm sure the lady was over the moon with the results. 👍👏
Nice one Rich, really appreciate that bud 😍
I love how you treat every job like the most important one you'll ever do. Your persistence really paid off ! It looks terrific !!
Wow NIck, you made everything just POP all the brickwork!. I like the grit in the edges it gives a good look. Actually its a cute little garden.
Aw, cheers Alina ❤️

Looks great! I love those round “wagon wheel” designs.
They looked like ancient mill stones from when animals would walk in a circle and grind the grain. The big square hole in the center was for a large beam.
Hey colleen, thanks very much ☺️
@@lauramitchell6725 Could also have been from a water or wind mill but definitely mill stones.
@@Ragnar8504 Yes,the animals were just an example.

Wow, thank you Julie 💕
Awesome job on the old fish pond. You always do such thorough job. 🎊
The stone’s in between give it a more earthy feel I like it.
Nice job. So many others would not have treated it that many times to get those black spots off. That looks so much better! Looks like you finally had a nice sunny day too.
Nice work! Those round stones are grinding stones from a gristmill. Very cool!
That was a fun one. I really liked that garden and the stone came out beautiful!! I liked the stone discs too. And that patio would be brilliant for a prarty. Stay safe Nick, Banisher of Blackspot. 😊
You take care of your clients. Good for you. I bet she was just so happy

Hey Sir Nick. I think that garden came out nicely, yes ?? And the stone around the pool came out wonderful. And with some greenery and flowers, it will look grand !!
Thanks Jeremy, really appreciate your comment mate 👍
Gorgeous yard! Beautiful work! The circle stones in the yard, are they grain grinding stones? So unique and awesome!!
What a great transformation, will be lovely to sit outside and enjoy. I share your customers hated of gardening so zero judgement from me. Less weeding, more gin I think :)
😂, thanks guys, always appreciate your kind words 😍
Great work here Nick. I always love seeing the skill you bring to these assignments!
why would anyone judge that backyard? Even before you touched it, it looked way better than my junk mess of a backyard.
I was thinking the same thing. lol
Stones look so good when clean. Nice job.
Well Nick 5 was the magic number. I think the grit in the pointing joints looks great.
Greetings from NZ.
Thanks mate 🙂

🤣, cheers Kelli, top lady 😍
Congrats on getting rid of the spots - whew! ☺
I think the yard is lovely. Awesome job as always ❤
Looking good Nick! Great job on those black spots😊
It looks good. If there wasn't a tree above the patio i would totally put a fire pit in the old fish pond.
As always Nick job well done colours are popping great job again !

Thanks Joseph. I use this one amzn.to/45l4g3h

Great job as usual, what determination!
Great job, so pretty after!
Subscribed today , great job love it when he tried so hard to get rid of those black spots
Welcome on board Gaz 🤝
It’s quite beautiful 😮😊
Where the pond used to be, it would look good if they put some artificial grass in the gap 👍🏻
Great job Nick. You’re a man that takes pride in his work. Hard to come by these days. Question, what type of broom head do you use when applying the grit? Was that just a standard dust brush or something special for applying the grit? Best to you from the US.

I actually like the grit pointing.
This need to have everything ‘perfect’ is very wearing.
You did a great job on all of it.
Nothing wrong with the garden, it’s shabby chic.

That's what I call "well grown in" has more romantic flair than a perfectly edged lawn
do you find yourself using less hypo with a bucket and brush Nick? oh and that grit gravel will turn to dust on the next pressure wash lol
Lovely job. Well done.
Hi Nick, question please. Do you ever use polymer sand in between stones? It’s a step down from repointing but a step up from sand or gravel.
Good job.!!💯👍
Thank you! Cheers!
What is the soap you are applying ?
York stone conquered 😂
Look - not gonna lie, I'm in the US and I listen to your break down of the jobs just because I love your accent :D
😂🥰
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great work!
