i grew up in a country where seeing a black person is still so rare, when i actually spoke to one i was almost 20. the media tailored to me was not including them much either. such a shame, when i finally discovered the beauty you hold, the sense for your community, how strong your personality traits often are (unfortunately that also might stem from being oppressed so much) and how gorgeous are colors on you - that was like discovering a whole new color spectrum by itself. this comment definitely sounds stupid and i'm sorry for that, but the point i wanted to make is that i love seeing appreciation of different kinds of people anywhere (and not just "look our company is inclusive"), because there's so much hidden beauty, sometimes even bashed by people not allowing diversity (let it be because of race, mental differences, sexual orientation or those who don't meet the "beauty standards" etc.)

I need more videos like this. I loved this format and listening to you talk about stuff and yourself. It's gonna sound weird but, as you said at the begining of the video, this felt like listening to a friend talk, and I love the feeling it transmited.
As a curly girl… we gain patience because our hair is a work of art😝 but also it is why when I say “I am washing my hair, I can’t go out” it is for a reason. I am busy doing all the steps.
And that’s why my hair is so short. I just don’t have the time lol
But you also don't have to wash it as often right? You're spending like.. one day on it and then you're fine for like 5-7 days right? Because I can go 1-2 days tops without washing and then I also look like I was dropped into a deep fryer..

@@CruzFamilyVlogs my hair is so much easier when it is long. Idk why but maybe because if the curls get frizzy or whatever on day one, I have so many options on how to style it until I wash it without needed to repeat any styles( unless I want to). But we all have dif hair and all that. Most of the people in my family wear their hair super short so it all depends on you.
@@Diabolicallaughter- you can train your hair to go longer, you’ll just have to put up with the greasiness for longer. if you wait a week, maybe even two without washing, you could maybe train your hair to go 3-5 days without washing. its the hurdles to get there that make it so difficult. however, dry shampoo honey! day 2 hair will last until day 3 with some good dry shampoo.😁

People with curly hair taking great care of their curls is so satisfying to watch! I had straight hair most of my life, but then it turned curly naturally a few years ago. I love the curls but they're difficult for me to get defined. So watching people who slay their curls is so good inspiration.
The sheer AUDACITY of these individuals, I have to break it down! Curly Goddess Veil….that’s EXACTLY what she is! The patience she has is just something else, but it’s so worth it. Her hair is probably the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen on anyone! Tea Renee….her hair is just blinding with its shine with that blowout! I went to her channel and found a video of her bringing her hair straight to curly, and holy sh*t! This girl’s hair is just perfection whether straight or curly! Tiana Marie….those were the most perfect finger waves I’ve ever seen in my damn life, and so effortless! Kayli Boyle….that was definitely a 90’s style blowout and I didn’t know I needed that satisfaction in my life, but apparently I did! And Gio’s Waves….I don’t know what I can say that Brad didn’t already. But again with the patience!!! I just did 2 French braids in my hair and complained about the time it took and that my arms hurt. But this man! Curly or straight, his hair is GOALS!!!! 💜💜💜

Im a curly girl with an uneven curl pattern who washes my hair once a week. The first 2 days my curls look alright, the rest of the week its in a hair clip because no amount of styling can tame that beast 😂

I have a pretty even pattern, but my curl is not tight (3a) and with weight (arrives to my hips) just flats out.

Funny fact. My hair was thick and down below my bra. A friend was in hair school and needed to practice finger waves and French twists. That was the style in the late 80's for beautiful black ladies. She had to use a whole jar of gel on me, and I had to sit under the dryer for two hours. It came out looking gorgeous. Also, my mom was born with natural finger waves.
Maybe you have try this, forgive if im playing on a broken record but have you try sleeping with a satin bonnet and satin scrunches? I can make my last for about 4 days with minimal refreshing but everyone's hair is different

We use the foam on top so it's easier to mould and it adds extra hold. I could do it with my relaxed hair but my natural hair just isn't having anything lol.

this is totally random but i also use drugstore shampoo and lately i’ve been using the function of beauty line at target!! i think its the same thing as custom shampoos you make online. i use the wavy formula and (i think) the addons i have are volume and color protection!☺️ it’s $10 for the individual bottles of shampoo and conditioner and $2ish per add on

I love Gio’s hair! My son has his hair super long but his hair is mostly straight with some kinky pieces. I have only taken my son for 2 trims ever he is 8 and his hair goes to the back of his knees. Luckily he doesn’t wanna cut his hair because I’d have a heart attack if he did.
