As a big fan, thank you for including people with different hair textures. My hair is 4b so I'm always terrified at the thought or bleaching or dyeing it. But seeing other ladies with a similar texture to mine gives me so much confidence.
The last girl's hair reminds me of a juicy berry. That's the first thing that came to mind. Her hair looks so shiny and healthy too, which is crazy because of the bleaching. Stunning results!

Geologist here, you pronounced rhodolite correctly, like road-oh-light. Garnet is my favorite mineral/gemstone and I'm kind of obsessed that you have a gemstone line to your colors.
@TwinkleToes-mm4kb Geologists study things like rocks and minerals, and gemstones are generally minerals, with some exceptions. I specifically teach about them and do a lot of identification of them. Thanks for asking!
Brad. You can ABSOLUTELY make a label that shows the estimated end result on the basic 1 through 10 level system. You would literally just have to ombre the stripe of color around the outside of the packaging, maybe add a second stripe right above it to show the levels as they are in a basic 1-10, that way people could grab a lock of their hair and literally just guide it along the strip until it matches. And I'm BEGGING YOU to take this idea and run with it. I have SO MANY IDEAS for packaging on hair pigments and box dyes that I can't get ANYONE to listen to. And it would make SUCH A DIFFERENCE.
Don't all color brands come with the detailed color swatches for 1-10, and basically what you described, in a magazine or binder that you get from the brand when you order it as a professional? What then is the point of a chonky label

Oh, absolutely!!! I'm in the middle of doing a hair project, and cut my hair earlier. My hair is (was) reaalllly long, and trying to maneuver to get it all is a HASSLE. But if it ends alright...🤷♀️😂

Brad you are telling a whole new truth with not wanting to do your own hair. I do my mom and sister’s hair including color and extensions. I get so exhausted doing my hair, but love the color and style. Now I find someone to do mine. I look for personality and talent in my stylist and we end up having the best happy mojo and enjoy the time.

All the results are fantastic!! I would never do colour without wearing gloves, and, like you said, Brad, you can still feel everything with gloves on. I don't want to have to scrub my hands afterwards. I work in healthcare and already wash my hands a lot at work, as well as at home after certain things, like cleaning, etc.. I don't need to be doing it when dyeing my own hair. But if she prefers it without gloves, more power to her. She does know what she's doing, at I'm glad she explained her reason behind not wearing gloves. Not that she needed to tell us, but maybe a lot of people asked her about it. I like doing my own hair at home. I started at a time when I didn't have money to go to a decent salon and I wasn't going to go to a cheap one because you don't always know who's working in them or what they'll do or how good/bad they are. Then I found out that I have a knack for cutting my own hair - hairdressers have given me compliments on how well I do it myself. As long as I do a basic style and don't try to go all fancy, I can get a pretty good result when cutting my own hair. Plus it's fun to experiment. I've had only one bad haircut that I did myself, and that's out of countless times of cutting my own hair. I also love to have fun with colour. I have a lot of grey, but it's not yet at a place where it looks good with my very dark brown hair. This isn't why I colour my hair. I colour it just because I like to and have fun with it. I'm fine with my grey showing. My current colour is a sort of caramel-y blonde with a lot of my natural dark showing through, but this shade of blonde looks great with my greys. I didn't have enough of the stuff to do my hair properly the first time, but now I have plenty. So it should look even better the next time I do it - either tomorrow or later this week on my next set of days off.
@@lucimeyers8900 same here. I work in healthcare and always have extra gloves in my pockets when I get home that were never used. I save them for doing my hair colouring, and they work well for this. They fit just right as well.
@@CyclingM1867 I use medical gloves (courtesy of my mom, also a nurse) for bleaching and coloring, some of the semi-permanent colors I use are almost nuclear when it comes to staining skin in 0.1 sec, I'm not ready to have lobster red hand for a week haha. With henna I go with bare hands though, it will be out of my hands by the end of the day, maybe a couple of yellow-y finger pads.

One time I ended up with very red hands for several days, and some of the residents in the nursing home I was working in at the time were very concerned until I explained that it was just hair dye. haha Henna is different, though, and the times that I have used it, it was fine. Like you said, it didn't last nearly as long, for the most part.

I recently did a toner on my hair with three different tones because it was looking really flat from the bleaching. It took me about 4 hours and I was long since ready to be done before I even reached the last section. I kept with it though because I wanted it to look good and have the depth I was looking for. Totally worth it

My current colour is a sort of caramel-y blonde with a lot of my natural dark showing through, but this shade of blonde looks great with my greys. I didn't have enough of the stuff to do my hair properly the first time, but now I have plenty. So it should look even better the next time I do it - either tomorrow or later this week on my next set of days off.
i feel like most people use really loose gloves that don’t fit. i will always use tighter gloves. that’s just my preference
@@lucimeyers8900 same here. I work in healthcare and always have extra gloves in my pockets when I get home that were never used. I save them for doing my hair colouring, and they work well for this. They fit just right as well.
@@CyclingM1867 I use medical gloves (courtesy of my mom, also a nurse) for bleaching and coloring, some of the semi-permanent colors I use are almost nuclear when it comes to staining skin in 0.1 sec, I'm not ready to have lobster red hand for a week haha. With henna I go with bare hands though, it will be out of my hands by the end of the day, maybe a couple of yellow-y finger pads.

One time I ended up with very red hands for several days, and some of the residents in the nursing home I was working in at the time were very concerned until I explained that it was just hair dye. haha Henna is different, though, and the times that I have used it, it was fine. Like you said, it didn't last nearly as long, for the most part.

Go for it! Once I started doing fantasy colors I really never went back, even now when I need more neutral hair for where I volunteer I still have a dusty rose color highlights ❤

I recently did a toner on my hair with three different tones because it was looking really flat from the bleaching. It took me about 4 hours and I was long since ready to be done before I even reached the last section. I kept with it though because I wanted it to look good and have the depth I was looking for. Totally worth it
