1) I loved how you organized and structured the video!! Super informational and easy to search if needed. 2) Being from LA with friends living at these places, Atelier is my favorite! Their staff members are so kind and I think the quality of the amenities are worth. The Whole Foods being across the street is a strong plus as well. Aven's super close to Pine and Crane for comfort asian food and also a Starbucks. Although, Hope+Flower and Circa are lovely, they are super close to high traffic event areas such as the 110 freeway exit and Staples Center. 3) Hope you were able to find your new home!
This was a great video. My favorite location was the Atelia. I don't know if it's worth $4500 +, but the space for storage, modern appliances and finishes really won me over. Thank you for this.
my favorite is circa! I moved DTLA last summer and I love living here! also in a high-rise, not shown in your video. I hope you love living here too and I hope you found the right apartment for you! :)
For me as i like living alone i really like the perla, circa and the hope + flower Because its minimal and i really like the place hoping someday i can also afford to have those kind of apartments
just moved out of circa around the time you posted this video... every place has pros and cons to living there, just depends on what youre willing to tolerate... thanks for the video~!
I saw my building in the thumbnail and had to click: Pictured at 5:23 with the hideous gang sign mural. Yuck! Other than that monstrosity, it's a proud little old hotel building renovated into practical microflats.
Out of this selection #6 (I don't like the bathroom but everything else is OK) and #7 (In this one it's the balcony that I don't like) . Overall I would keep looking.
Ironically downtown is the most affordable place to live in Los Angeles. Forget anywhere near the beach, all of the west side is insane. Hollywood is also out of the question now... I'm really not sure where a young person could move if they wanted to live in LA except downtown.
Insider tip: Downtown is subdivided into three parts. Look to live in South Park or bunker hill - not historic core. historic core (where most of these apartments were) are really sketchy, often has break ins, and is generally not worth the few 100’s you’ll save per month.
just keep working towards it, im not sure how old you are, but keep having that goal, build skills and ways that will allow u to get there. main thing is, is mindset, know you will get there, everything takes time, trial and error, and learning, comes opportunities.
All of these apartment aren't worth the money they charge. I stayed at one of those and moved in a different section. I get more for my money. These amenities are just fluff, hard to use the gym when it stays crowded, hard to use the pool when it's always crowded. The elevators at times you have to wait 15 mins before you can get on one because of the demand, go in the morning or after work you will have to let several pass. You pay for parking and a lot, when I lived there is was like extra $150. NO guest parking. Plus the features like the Bosch W/D are the absolute worst, the dryer takes like 6 hours to dry one load because it doesn't have an exhaust so it just spins until all your clothes are dry.
Perla's video can be filmed better, Perla's 360 degree view is stunning and I dont see it on the video; also the amenities spaces are a lot bigger and glamorous. I live there, to be honest with you guys is a great property, but the neighborhood needs updates.
Holly fuck I work in LA and hate that I lose 4 hours a day min. Commuting was thinking about trying to get something out there, but my gas cost is is 1200 and my mortgage where I live is only 1000. I’m actually saving money, if don’t include the time I lose, but at the same time and helps keep me out of trouble. I know I would get into some crazy shit if I lived in LA
@@qwertyhimym Well I live in a Greystar high rise apartment in DTLA, newly built apartment 2B/2B for $3500 with valet parking. That’s why i’m surprised with these prices, because of what I pay?!
@@dorotheaurelio oh that makes sense! Well you may have a good deal for a 2 bed 2 bath (even though I’m very aware of how it expensive that is), and it also may depend on the area, like South Park is overall safer and nicer than historic core for example. Also the buildings she showed had amazing and over the top amenities!
@@qwertyhimym I don’t want to sound like i’m bragging but, I have rooftop amenities like an infinity pool, poker room etc and im in a prime location in DTLA. But my apartment complex is definitely much cheaper than that 😫 But I understand you!
I see these places every day and I was right, none of them are worth the price. Considering the amount of homeless people you are living near, they should pay you to love there. I can't even fit my sneakers in these places. It's a shame the best parts of these places are the amenities which is shared. I'm way too adult for these places.
all properties were ridiculous, they all looked alike and not worth the price. This thing ya'll rich people call *amenities* in these luxurious and pompous residential buildings are just spaces that have reduced, conditioned and adjusted you to communal living that contains zero privacy. Life in fish bowl......
Sad that LA residents have to pay the amount of a house mortgage to live in high-rise boxes because they can't afford to buy a home. That is just bonkers.
Thank You Mary!!!! Prior To Finding Your Video At Least 5 of Those places I’ve Scheduled A Tour! This helps alot for preparation
@TheeAviari That’s great to hear! Hope you find a place soon!
Girl you have no idea how good your video is. Time stamps, clear labeling? Chefs kiss😂
@kwillee93 Thank you! Glad it helped!
Okay but this video was made so well! I love the timestamps
Thank you!

So helpful, and the way you timestamp the fragments of the video is really cool. Thank you.

Hope + Flower was my fav of these! Great job w this video 😍
Thanks Janika!
She’s really good with the angles nice work maam
Thank you!
definitely think Perla #2 was my favorite! It seemed to have the best price for more square footage and those views were insane!!
My favorite is the 7, even tho it doesnt look the biggest somehow it reunites every good aspect of the other apartments in just one
I can see that
Omg 4th, 6th, and 7th are my favourite 💜💜💜💜 so pretty
Such a well put togther and informative video. Thank you Mary!!!
You’re welcome! Glad I could help!
loved the Circa and Hope + Flower apartments for the price!
Hope and flower had the best value for me
I agree. Good amount of space for the price
BLESS YOU for including names and timestamps!!

I agree with the minimalism. You’ll get there 😉
The Aven seems worth it to me. Loved the amenities.
Yes! I love the basketball and volleyball courts.
#4 is my favorite

So true. Every place has its pros and cons
What do y’all do for a living?, if you don’t mind me asking
Hmmm, those Bosch maschines are from the lower/cheaper series, bummer.
Good to know
Nice!!!! Pretty affordable in LA compared to San Francisco will be relocating back to California soon my year up. ❤
so its around $3k to $4k for rent per month in LA - useful video

number 7, absolutely
Not 👀 looking for buying nor renting; I'm just 👀 looking; but, all the apartments shown by the attached 🎥 video are beautiful.↗👌
Which one was your favorite?
i loved the atelier i loved the bathroom snd the kitchen the lighting was amazing and the view the room and closet is just chefs kiss

Yes! I couldn’t believe the prices near the beach. About the same or more 😱
I really love Atelier but it’s too pricey for a 1 bed
I agree. Atelier is nice, but not the price 😅
So which one did you pick? I like hope & flower! My office is in dtla lol
Hi Kirsten! We finally picked one as shown at the end of my most current video. I’ll post more in the upcoming videos 😊
in the same boat hope & flower is on my list also. toss up between there and 825 Hill
Hope + Flower also has a sauna with a window to the city 😍. I need to check out 825 South Hill. Thanks for mentioning it.
@@mary_mateo please check it out and post it! i’m thinking of moving there soon
@@Kystterr I'll try. I'll let you know if I do.
California charges too much rent to not have all the basic amenities and I'm from there. I miss it but yeah I agree, too pricey.
The rent is definitely high in this state
@@mary_mateo It literally scares me at the thought. I don't see how people make it.
