There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for Suzi not to be in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I live only 30+ miles from there and will continue to boycott them until Suzi Quatro is inducted. A lot of artists that have already gotten their place in the Hall cite her as a major influence on their lives, not only for her music and lyrics, but for her style and stage presence. She rightly deserves a spot in the "ROCK and ROLL" Hall of Fame.
The emphasis is added because in recent years, way too often performers are inducted who have NOTHING to do with advancing rock and roll music. This awesome Lady doesn't deserve being snubbed by the people (supposedly) speaking for the fans of the art form.
That makes no sense that she isn’t in there!

My father met her in the mid 90's (she was doing some recording near where he worked). According to him, she is a very sweet and friendly lady. I saw her live in 2011, it was the very definition of rock n' roll that night.

She was the original Rock Chick! She paved the way for other female rock artists, right up to today.
I wonder how many Americans who knew her as Leather Tuscadero on the sitcom Happy days, had ever heard this song, or her many other hits. Or indeed even knew she was an actual rock star. She was one of my first crushes as a 14 year old in 1973/4 . An absolutely magical era to have grown up in. I feel sorry for today's youngsters.They really missed the boat !

I was about 6 when this came out and it was one of my favourites.
In 1987 I finally got to see Suzi in Brisbane and the very first song, BAM was Wild One. I was front row and it was fantastic.
Met her very briefly outside after and she was so nice.

+Angie Yoder I was too young to realize Suzi Quatro was a real rock star, and not just "Leather Tuscadero" on _Happy Days._ But Joan Jett, oh yeah, definitely! The first female celebrity of any kind to grab my attention, at age 13.
It was weird, because I thought, "I wanna be with her -- AND I want to be _like_ her." I had long and complicated fantasies, in which I was both her lover AND a Blackheart. It was easy to escape into these daydreams, because in 1983, as a boy, I couldn't talk to any of my friends about her, or even share her music with them. The guys I knew all had their minds closed about her.
My mind balanced out at 14, when I had the opportunity to learn and own a guitar myself. A little less dreaming and a lot more learning!
But if not for Joan, I might have believed I wasn't good enough to play guitar, because I was never particularly good at any other activities. I was considered a pussy. But Joan Jett's story inspired me. She wasn't born into a musical family, she wasn't a natural-born singer, she had to teach herself guitar from books, she had to learn how to write songs, nobody took the Runaways seriously, and almost nobody respected her for _years,_ with her first solo album being rejected by 23 major labels. She wasn't a diva, or some fashion chameleon like Madonna. She's a true rocker -- even in a world where rock is almost dead, she is true to her muse.
She worked her ass off, with passion and dedication, to become the queen of rock and roll -- she _earned_ everything she has today!

My "family" of instruments has grown into two electrics, two acoustics, a bass, and an upright piano; I'm competent on all of them, and some people like my style. (I have tech problems to sort out before I can begin digitizing and sharing most of my analog history, but I have a few songs uploaded.)
I went from the Beatles, to Styx, to Joan, to the Cars, to Pink Floyd, to Lou Reed, to the Beach Boys, and tried listening to everything that had longevity and a reputation for excellence. Most of the musicians I liked as a teenager turned out to have staying power. Joan Jett is a great example of that.
And yes, she's still hot!
