    I love these videos. Five minutes ago I finally changed my Nikki carb to another brand, new fuel pump, air/and gas filters, they sent wrong spark plug so I just cleaned the one in it, new gas hose, the gas filter they sent had one whole end broken off and not even in the box but mine was fine. I just hit the switch and it cranked a few laps and started right up. Purrs like a new kitty. I am learning and I enjoy working on all my old mowers except the ones with generators to start them.

    My LA115, bought new in 2007 or 2008, had the same issue (throttle won't spring back) last month. Just replaced the carburetor, and problems solved. Thanks for the video.

    Before you replace that carb you should know that you may be able to buy just that part. For my 2007 sears lt1000 its briggs part 690802 Spring/Seal Assembly for the walbro carb , 698779 for the Nikki carb..

    I used this kit and was hoping it would be a breeze like yours. However, I found I was not getting fuel to the carb. Replaced the fuel lines and pump. Still no luck. Thanks for the video tho. It was helpful.

      is the fuel filter blocked?

    • @brooksgarrison6819

      @@wecanfixit7308 no, I checked and replaced that as I got a new one with the kit. I made sure there were no kinks in any of the lines as well.
      After I looked at your video a second time, I noticed the hoses and how they were hooked up to the fuel pump. Where the top connection on the side with two connectors goes to the fuel line, and the bottom of the two connectors goes over to a connection where the oil dipstick is. I connected mine like this and made sure to clamp everything securely. I also pressed down on the top of the oil dipstick assembly to ensure it was seated well.
      it seems to be working now. I wouldn't have figured it out without your video and the clear footage you had. Thanks!

      @wecanfixit7308 hey I'm looking everywhere for the fuel filter, I have same model. I change the oil the the fuel pump but can't find the filter.

      I should say it was chugging then stalling but after I changed the pump, it won't start. I took the hose off going to carborator and it barely dribbles fuel out of thst hose. I did order your kit though

    I just replaced the carb on my D105 with a new one from amazon and in a few days the choke started sticking on it. The choke shaft is plastic and was a bit too long. I had to shave the bottom of it off to stop the sticking issue.

    Nice trouble shooting! I got the LA-115 bought new 2007-8 my only issue was blown headgasket $14.00 in parts! I'll skip the expensive zero turns the craze nowadays.

    New Carb-starts on ether then stalls.....I DO NOT hear the solenoid clicking...Can you just remove it and bolt it up? Thank you for yourtime

    • @wecanfixit7308
      @wecanfixit7308  ปีที่แล้ว

      if the solenoid isn't clicking, try tapping the bowl lightly with a screwdriver while someone turns the key off and on, sometimes that will free it. If not, maybe try taking it out and working it back and forth, or maybe swap out the one from the old carb, assuming it was good. You really need that solenoid to work, or it will backfire everytime you shut off the mower.

    When was the last time you really cleaned this engine. You have a major oil leak and you don't seem to notice that. Great review if your a parts replacer

      sure, could have done, but replacing a 15 year old carb for less than $20 might be a good option for some folks.
