Unfortunately I had camera issue when doing the install and lost the footage ... I recommend you look on tdiclub for more info
Don't remove the valve cover look at the timing mark on the fly wheel or just put the lock in the injection pump

Hy there to people of Ape! Nice video and very usefull, we are waiting the video by mounting injection pump on wv alh. Is there any steps to mont the pump? How we should corelate ( mount properly) the new injection pump, if we don' t know the injection s pump time? Thanks You were very helpfull!

Unfortunately I had issues with my camera when I installed my new pump so I dont have video. I will get it next time I swap one.
Weres the video of puting the pump back in? Or is it just reverse order just don't want to miss something
unfortunately the video file for the install was corrupt ... will make one if I ever need to do this job again.
What specialty tools are needed and were can they be purchased?
I used the metalnerd timing belt tool kit, but it can be done without it if you are careful.

No, just get it loose so it can turn when you re-install the timing belt.

@@APEngineering Hey there, I have replaced my fuel injector pump in my golf mk 4 tdi 1.9, but unable to start engine. Played around mechanically with the timing, but I think it needs to be hooked up to a VCDS VAC COM to set the timing correctly and maybe to get the new pump recognised by the computer system. Never done this before. I don't have the VCDS equipment. Could you please offer me your advice on what I could/should do? Cheers!
@@TheHeartCharmer You will need vagcom to check your IQ and also your timing.
@@APEngineering Hey, thanks. I guessed that would be the case. But was hoping I might start it to drive it to a garage. But it won't start and I guess that there is no chance until I get the VAGCOM. I see the cables for not too much money, but I think that to buy the full software it becomes expensive. Not sure to buy cable and software, or find someone who will come out and do it.
