    They just gotta make team reload work no matter who has the backpack. It still requires a player to actively stop shooting and help another. Making the second player give up their backpack while also stopping the first from having a slow reload if they need it is overly harsh.

    I think it's supposed to shine with the team reloading mechanic, but for everyone that doesn't play with friends that gimmick goes unused.

      Team reload is one of the coolest and most powerful things in the game, but until they introduce a change to the mechanic so you can team reload a person with the backpack on it’s not a reasonable tactic. Nobody wants to pick up a backpack and follow someone around like a glorified guard dog all game.

    I take the recoiless on almost every mission, bugs, or bots. I played battlefield, so the reload isn't anything new to me. It's so powerful that they make you give up your backpack slot to it.

    I think the only thing that needs to be done to make the RR worth taking is to just allow team-mates to help you reload if you're the one carrying the pack. All co-op reload weapons should work that way.
    It's drastically simpler to co-ordinate positioning for a few seconds in the middle of a firefight than it is to co-ordinate someone being your ammo mule for an entire mission.
    I dive pretty much exclusively with people I know, and even among good friends with a lot of experience co-ordinating, co-op reloading still just isn't worth it - pretty much entirely because the amount of times my buddy dies and leaves my ammo pack stranded somewhere or vice versa is way higher than the amount of times I could really really use sub 1 second shot reload on the RR.
    But if all I needed was a warm body somewhere near me, then the number of times I need sub 1 second shot reload on the RR more than I need another primary weapon shooting at small targets is actually pretty high, and it'd be worth doing.

    If the team reload didn’t require a teammate to equip the ammo pack, it might help. Surely it would be easier to reload the weapon if the pack is on the wielders back anyway.

    I think the Q-cannon is superior, but I get more enjoyment out of the RR. Managing my reloads is fun to me, and I like the more ballistic style + being able to snap fire it.

    I think its fine as it is i use the recoilis very often mostly because i like underdog weapons that work. The reload is fine because its supposed to be a 2 man weapon to be effective, the one power it has over the quasar is the immediate no charge up you shoot it when yoh want it to shoot. And as for EAT the 70 second cool down is nice but once you know what your doi g and how to evade enemies you can kill plenty of chargers and just wait on a supply pack but its only good if youve got room to run.

    if not going to let the fire dot work on the enemy, better off with the standard Breaker for more dam or the Breaker SP for more ammo.
    Instead of using the resupply drop to reload the rockets, drop another pack. More efficient.
    Where the recoilless and spear SHINE is team loading.

    I thouht the Recoiless rifle had more damage. I totally agree with since the qwazy quasar cannon was added, the RR was left behind. Im a bots and auto cannon main. I thought the AC empty reload was painfully slow, how wrong i was when comparing to the standard reload of the RR.

    This is the weapon that helped me stabilize lvl9 bug missions where 6 chargers and 3 bile titans starts to stomp your team 30 seconds after planetfall

    Recoil main here. Bring the RR, stun grenades, 3 sentries. Been running solo helldives like cake. Auto cannon sentry, Gatling, machine gun. Use the stuns to stop chargers from running over your sentries. Stuns also crowd control and help you land easy headshots on chargers. Also could give you time to reload your weapon. Sentries also draw aggro and deal with the hordes while you use the RR and take out heavies

    When multiple are used on a squad the recoiless (like the ac) becomes an absolute monster. Had a squad once where 3 of use used the recoiless and guys would just hop on to reload when something big popped up. (Ba k when they buffed the RR and the eat)
    I personally almost always rock the spear and the DCS, when I'm not in the mood for that hmg/judicator/supply pack dakka

    If the AC is considered balanced perfectly by AH. They need to make the RR the equivalent of that for the AT weapons. As in RR does everything very well and the EAT and Q have ease of use for sacrificing something.

    Recoilless Rifle is basically an Expendable Anti-tank with a backpack. Arguably the best launcher with teamplay. Though that varies between bugs and bots because I find the Spear to be better for bugs while antitank is better for bots.

    Remove the team reload mechanic entirely (it will never happen) and either increase the reload speed or increase the damage to compensate. I only say "compensate" because I know they balanced this around team reload, but it's just not a thing.

    I don't see how you figure that, RR fires like 2x times faster then the quasar, if you factor in the charge up time until you can fire, and it's overheat cooldown. If you actually have a buddy that takes a RR too and take turns assisting you can shoot 12 rockets in like 12 seconds and nothing will live. The only real thing the quasar has over the RR is no drop over range, and unlimited ammo, but it's not really like resuppy and ammo drops are ever that scarce. Plus RR has instant firing that will let you hit key spots when you see them, you don't have to train it on a spot and hope it stays in view for like the 3-4 seconds it takes for the cannon, you complain about the reload on the RR but how long does the cannon take to cooldown?

    The RR has a faster reload speed than the Quasar Cannon and let's you shoot instantly. With the 3 second build-up time, the RR out performs the Quasar Cannon Offensively. It's just that since you can't wear the shield back pack you notice when you don't play well more.

    It doesn't need a faster reload It's fine the way it is. You can have a friend carry your backpack to reload you faster. Every weapon has its limits. I do this all the time with this weapon. My friend will bring the auto cannon and I will bring the bazooka. We swap backpacks and we become a heavy weapon team. I kill the chargers and bile titans and he kills the vomit bugs. But no one else ever does this because everybody's coming from call of duty or fortnite. Everybody wants to be Master Chief. But we have a lot of fun when we share the equipment like that. But anyways you could do what you want.

    Here's my view on recoilless because I do like it:
    If you don't like waiting on the quasar chargeup while chargers run you down, and you don't like that EATs only give you two shots at a time, go with the recoilless.
    What you give up:
    Backpack slot (Quasar trade) or a support weapon slot (EAT trade).
    I was surprise you didn't know the laser cannon can hit across the map because it is excellent at destroying objectives and probably the best bot support weapon.
    I also despise sentries, especially against bugs as their W spam leads to team kills and chargers prioritize them, so was kind of cringing at your loadout.

      Having to be stationary to reload while a charger is chasing you is kinda problematic rather than being able to kite the charger while the q cannon recharges is kind of a life saving thing

      @@coleostimie9725 you get to reload in stages, so it doesn't all have to be done at once. I think there's 3 to four stages to it. If you are good at dancing around chargers usually killing a charger isn't a priority. Typically you are already loaded and 1 shot it. Quasars are more likely to miss than recoilless because of the chargeup. You don't get to choose the moment of fire.

      @@leviboley there are 3 stages to the reload but having to stop to do any of it during a high volume bug breach is extremely risky and takes longer to do than just letting a q cannon recharge as you thin out the enemies numbers. Reloading a recoilless rifle takes you out of the fight instead of helping out your squad. But I'm done with this if you like the recoilless rifle more power to you

      @@leviboley I've tried every weapon in game multiple times so I'm pretty familiar with the pros and cons of them all but effectively the goal is to have more weapon up time than anything especially when things are getting out of hand. If your not putting rounds down range then you really become more of a liability

    I can't with this guy. The RR needs to be buffed? It has a 5 second reload, Quasar Cannon has a 10 second cooldown on a normal planet. You can fire twice as often during an engagement and kill the same things with it in the same amount of hits. Sure, you need ammo for Recoilless, but for some scenarios, it's better.
    Saw the Grenade Launcher video, and I don't think that needs a buff either, but at least that made sense in that you can't really solo high difficulties with it. Or at least, you'll need to rely more heavily on stratagems. It's job is to clear large groups of enemies, not tank bust.
    I can't even fathom thinking the RR neess a buff. It's like top 5 support weapons. The game doesn't need to be easier. It already has difficulty settings.

      People look at the Quasar and start nutting over how you don't need ammo for it.
      Never mind that you get resupplies every 2-3 minutes depending on the effects.
      Never mind that you pick up spare ammo from your surroundings.
      They just see that you don't need to manage ammo for it and immediately think its the end all be all anti-tank.

      The proboem is sitting down and reloading it. Unless you're got Light Armor, sprinting several football fields away from an army of bugs to shove a bullet in to kill a single Charger on Helldive is not going to cut it. Even with the nerf to the Quasar, you don't have to manually reload it, which means no interrupted reloads or getting surprised by Hunters and Stalkers. Ammo is also infinite, which means that SPM isn't needed to hand you six rockets back and the storage for them doesn't have to take up your Backpack slot.

      @@davidmalkowski7850 The long RR reload is def a pain in the ass, but the real probs (for me), are getting tapped or shot while lining up that long quasar shot. If the claim is that in a high chaos situation of helldive difficulty, you can't get a reload off on RR, I would suggest you aren't getting that quasar shot off accurately either.
      I would rather get hit while reloading, stim & dive, get my shot off & move on.

      No one likes a team member who eats all the ammo all the time, the recoilless rifle and auto cannon are very ammo hungry. Experienced divers will happily accept that if it leads to dead heavies. Two minutes when you have no stims or ammo is an eternity when dancing with chargers or hiding from laser fire.
      I'm an auto cannon enjoyer, and when I saw the new ship module for full support weapon reload from one resupply I insta bought it since i had just enough already saved up. Imagine my surprise when I test it to find it doesn't work like at all. I'm now a part time sample farmer. I'm doing my part!

    But tbh watching this just reminds me why I stick with the quasar cannon. Cause at least I never gotta worry about running out of ammo. Just take a bit to cool down

    I'd say the RR is useless after you unlock the queso. Main reason being is the simple that fact it does just as much damage, has infinite ammo, AND needs no backpack which is insane. I can't justify bringing the recoiless when that exists. The long ass reload, with the fact you can't move makes it so much worse on helldive. With the queso, you shoot, run for about 8 ish seconds and boom, you can shoot again.
    EATS and queso cannon are the top dogs in the rocket launcher department right now. The RR really just doesn't have a place after the queso got added.
