    Fun fact, the eagle airstrike can 1 shot a factory strider full health. You have to line it up sideways and it has to be relatively in the center of the strider width wise. It works perfectly so you don't have to waste a 500kg or a laser just to kill 1 big enemy

    • @FenixReZ

    • @Savitarax
      @Savitarax 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@FenixReZ Make sure that it doesn't turn to face you or make sure it's targeting someone else or something else. If it's walking straight that's totally fine. It's not about getting every bomb on target, it's about getting 2-3 bombs of the 5-6 in the right spot, Head, Back, chest,

    • @GolemRising
      @GolemRising 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@FenixReZ So, the airstrike will hit in a line thats perpendicular to the direction you are facing. If the strider is chasing someone else, bully! Run to the side of it and throw it directly underneath. If you are solo, then you need to run underneath it, quickly turn to the side and throw the strike at your feet, and then flee out the ass and dive for cover. Not the most efficient way (if you are under the strider you might as well unload on its belly with an autocannon or AMR) but it does work.

    7:19 the majority of inconsistencies we face in the game is due to the fact that if a bomb hits a non critical part of the body that part will suck most of the damage and since there is no damage redirection to vital parts it just throw the damage into oblivion thats why 500kg dont kill titans with direct hits sometimes, they need to make that extra damage is redirected to vital parts that way most if not all inconsistencies will cease to exist

  • @greywhizzadventurer8535

    I gotta say the Walking Barrage is very slept on. It can take out everything the 500KG can and it has technically more shots per call in. It can even deal with Command Bunkers if you are facing them and it's cooldown is half of that of the 120mm and 380mm. All that and it's more consistent with its pattern compared to 120 and 380.

    I generally pick eagle airstrike, orbital laser, walking barrage - works for me for most applications.
    Airstrike will clear a small or medium base of bot fabs if aimed correctly, and great for clearing patrols and things quickly.
    Laser specifically for helping to clear large bases and/or detector towers/command bunkers, particularly if there’s a factory strider or something large in there too
    Marking barrage I find is great for also dealing with medium/heavy bases, particularly if it’s aimed just in front of- walks directly through, often will wipe bases and clear all the heavy enemies out. And unlimited uses
    Generally then run a quasar to help with mopping up and use for gunships and stuff

    My core layout is the EMS Mortal, Orbital Laser, 500kg and the Spear or HMG. For me the EMS Mortal saves the day as much as the orbital laser. It let you know when enemies are near, it will stay there until it runs out of ammo and will stun lock enemy groups and heavies. The eagle strike likes to hit the terrain to much. The 500kg will destroy anything my spear cant lock into it, or doesn't a vent for the HMG. Yes I like being the A-hole that keeps blowing factories, heavies and gunships from a hill across the map from a hill. Orbital Laser for clearing objectives and when a dumbdum decides to throw a 380 at a patrol and wipe the team.

      @@Tamachii12 I generally take out the chin turrets regardless if possible. I’ve gotten very good with stratagem distance throws with and without servo armor. In difficulty 9 you won’t always be able to get close to a strider without dealing with other enemies nearby too like hulks, tanks, mortars, cannons, or the devastators it produces. As long as you are confident with your accuracy and know how far you can throw for different distances then this is a great 1-2 punch combo taking one out quickly. Obviously if you CAN get close, then shooting the eyeball with an armor pen 4 or higher weapon - or even better if you can get to the underbelly, then those are other ways to keep in your back pocket that are just as effective albeit not right for every circumstance.

    I use eagle airstrike for wiping patrols and fabs. And I pair it with orbital precision strike for the more robust structures and to cover during rearm. Being able to take out towers and optional objectives along with having a short cooldown. And Eagle airstrike followed by a stun grenade can hold a bot drop in place for the eagle to wipe them. I tend to run eagle airstrike, precision strike, supply pack, amr, stun grenade, grenade pistol (for utility when facing jammers). With a primary that can take scout striders out from the front. It basically covers every contingency you'll face against automatons and has the endurance to last a whole match without hitting a resupply.

    One nice combo against Factory Striders is Eagle Airstrike and Orbital Precision Strike. You can drop both almost simultaneously for a pretty consistent kill (it's more reliable if the strider is perpendicular to you). I usually add a barrage and a support weapon to round things out.

    380mm. heavy spawns clear
    Cluster/OLaser. fabric and patrol clear
    HMG/LCanon. to deal with stuff alone
    BShield. to pair with the SMG
    Im using this for months and having a lot of fun with it. the shield only breaks after a couple explosives hit it and Ive clutch a lot of games just standing behind it and dealing with enemies one by one

  • @tugboatyan
    @tugboatyan 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Standard loadout for me: Carl G., Eagle Airstrike, Orbital Precision, and either EMS sentry or the 500kg depending on whether I want more crowd control for my primary and Carl to put in more work, or more boom to just blast through everything ASAP. I gotta remember to bring the 380mm barrage more often for the Search and Destroy missions... and Command Bunkers always get the Orbital Laser.
    The Eagle Airstrike is too good of an all-around tool to ever leave her in the hanger, and then the Orbital Precision Strike is usually my complementary pick. The Eagle handles add-clearing, heavies, and fabricators; the OPS trivializes the otherwise horrifying detector towers and comes off cooldown often enough that you can use it for relatively casual stuff like Rogue Research Stations or adding DPS against heavies... And combined they make short work of anything less than an entire heavy base.

      Once you get used to aiming it, the JAR-5 Dominator will 1 shot all Devastator variants in the head. It can also 4-5 shot them in the weak spot in their torso, and if I remember correctly, 3 shots will take out their leg, which will also end them. You can also take off their gun arms as well, which is hilarious. The best part is, even if you don't have time to aim, the Dominator has really good stagger against Devastators, so that can set you up for a successful second or third shot.
      The issue with the Dominator is the red dot sight is not accurate. Usually you hit a bit below the red dot. The best way for an accurate shot is to see where the Dominator's laser sight is pointing instead. Arrowhead has listed weapons shooting below crosshairs as a bug, and therefor seems to be aware of the issue, but it's been, what? 4 months since launch, and it's not been fixed yet. Probably because they have bigger bugs to fry. That said, when you learn how to aim with the Dominator, you can be a beast against automatons. I love the gun to the point where if we ever get weapon modding, changing out the scope for one that can zoom would probably be the first thing I would do, because once you get used to the travel time of it's rounds, you can even snipe somewhat effectively with the Dominator. The AMR is far superior for sniping though.
      NOTEICE: Not sponsored by the JAR-5 Dominator. 😅

    This is just an off observation from your video, but that Heavy Devistator taking you out in .3 seconds with two sequential headshots at 5:55 is the most unbalanced element of this games enemy design IMO. Enemies ability to land crits so frequently makes it effectively impossible to account for it when caught off gaurd or from off-screen like you were here, or to counter/prevent it in any way exepy ducking your head and facing away when not near cover. I love most of the funny chaotic elements in this game like planetary hazards and ragdolls, but crits are a bit too much harder to consistently avoid than those. I would love for Arrowhead to give us higher difficulty levels like 10-15 or so with more enemies and more dangerous enemy types one day, but the randomness and inconsistencies in leathality we have now would just make that more of a frustrating mess than a clear set of obstacles to overcome (the good kind of challenge/difficulty).

My comment wasn't saying that crits are too hard to deal with in the game now as much as in a potential higher difficulty where there would be too many enemies from all directions to use cover as consistently and effectively as you can now. I do prefer to use cover ('cause flinch sucks lol), but you don't always have cover in every engagement, especially if take all engagements as l prefer to. As a result, I find only staggering weapons suitable for the aggressive CQC playstyle I often enjoy, limiting viable options for players there.
